At least this guy went to the museum, so what if he does not know his stuff at least he made a video of the worlds largest car collection that I did not know existed until now and I only live 370 miles away, I plan to check it out thanks for making the video.
The one thing you definitely accomplished is we are absolutely going to go check this out because we actually are fairly close! I am a die hard car guy and I had no idea this collection even existed so thank you very much!
Some very nice rides. Every Duesenberg was was custom ordered from the upholstery, types of rare woods and metals etc.. They were so special, whenever people would see one, many would exclaim, "It's a Doosie!" which is still part of our vernacular today.
Excellent, with the newly invention of the ship propeller 27-years earlier. The Wright Brothers, had all the building blocks, to make a flying machine. They knew 99% it could be done.
I won't repeat what others have said. There is to advantage to beating a dead horse. I do however appreciate you taking the effort to expose us to this collection. Thanks.
*Very informative~Great job!!~This is Ratt's LIVE 1/25 & Tammy~We watched this video when you put it out last time~I just had to watch it again~Great work Sir~I loved every minute of it~Thank you so much :))*
Give Ross a break guy's, So it's obvious that he knows little about cars, but at least he took the effort to post a video of these cars for us to look at, which is more effort than most of the people complaining about him being car illiterate , Let's see your informative car videos!
I just think if you're going to do a video about something you should at least know a little about the subject you're making a video about. And with the internet its very easy to find information on practically any subject. But especially cars. As I'm typing this comment I'm hearing him say Doesengerg. Who doesn't know what a Deusenberg is? He knew the Mercedes but only because of the hood ornament. Wow... Just wow.
Sorry, correction, at 36:30 Bertha Benz drove already a 4 wheel version in 1889 called Benz Victoria after German Queen and she took her 2 sons with her. Second the Curved Dash Oldsmobile was a world success, even in Germany there was a license taker the "Polymobil" produced in Leipzig a few dozen cars from these. Polyphon was a big producer of grammophone machines.
WOW!! people have nothing better to do than leave disrespectful comments. I am thankful to see this video! Good work Ross, we all can learn something from this video. Nobody knows everything but now we all know something new. Thanks!
that 83 dusenburg II i helped build. i worked at elite heritage motors in elroy,wi. from nov81 to feb 86.i believe the placard is incorrect. only the first boattail speedster was built using a ford truck chassis. after that, the frame jig was built we built our own frames. easiest way to tell is look underneath. if you see an x crossmember between the frame rails, we built it. all dusenburg IIs used the powertrain and components from a new ford truck. all the rest we fabricated and the brass castings we finished to be chromed.those came from foundries. the spoked wheels were custom built in cali.
I was going to say how bad I feel for all the hateful comments you got. Why can people not just leave it alone if they do not like the video do not watch it. Ok so you are not a car expert but you never pretended to be one. You filmed the written descriptions and the presentation of the curator was very interesting and informative. Overall I liked your video. Keep it up.
when the curator came in halfway through the video is when it got very informative , henry . i respect that this video was posted, alot of eye candy and rare and unique cars for sure, im grateful you shared this hidden secret of a car collection, a must see BTW... henry ford was 23 yrs old when first carl benz car was invented
When I first fell in love with cars I didn't know squat. I was very young but it's a love affair that can start at any age. I appreciate the fact the guy took the time to film these wonderful cars and find some of his comments amusing. Who knows, maybe in a few short years he'll know more than all of us put together.
Besides the awesome collection of cars, what makes this video great is your enthusiasm. You sound like a kid in a candy store here sir, and that's way cool. Thanks for posting this!
Mr. LeMay was a customer of my company and he gave me a tour back in the 1980s. The building and the land that the buildings are on were formerly a small Catholic school. Mr LeMay bought the property and buildings and let the nuns continue to live on the property.
This primer starts off shaky but it picks up when someone (not introduced) provides cursory info about the museum and some of the cars. Unfortunately, many descriptions were cut short during video editing. However, it is good to know this collection exists. Perhaps, someday I will have the opportunity to visit Harold LeMay's vast car collection.
That 48 Tucker was sold to thousands who reserved their car 50 to 200 bucks and got some luggage or gloves or other Tucker swag but the car never got into production past that 48 or 50th one. My dad happened to be one of hundreds or thousands who bought a Tucker and got a jacket or car jack or some damn thing! Called himself one of many owners of Tucker number 49 since Tucker kept number 50 for himself.
Thank you for taking the time to share your tour with us, although your knowledge is limited I have to give you kudos for your patience...thanks again!

I SINCERELY HOPE that someone does a REALLY GOOD VIDEO OF THE MUSEUM. Yep, passed on the really special cars. Cringed when he passed the Dual Ghia and all the celebs that owned them, Frank rolls in his grade. GREAT COLLECTION, PAINFUL VIDEO.
