Yay! I’m really happy you actually checked out the lesson and that it helped you. :) I was planning on getting it done earliest since you asked for it. Thank you very much! :)
Vigi i’m saying that he would probably think it was a good explanation :) your cover of under the bridge with your friend is very good! have a good rest of your day
Thx for sharing. I know the song some time, but i only saw the video on youtube where they record it. Damn i was flashed by john and his guitar at the beginning, so rad
@@Vigi I see. Your sound is very consistent despite of movements while playing. Could you describe the mic position (distance / angle), please? And did you use compression? When I record acoustic guitar it sounds a mess. Obviously I should treat my room acoustically but also the dynamic range is jumping all over the place :D
Oops I now see I used the Neumann TLM102 for this one. Honestly, I just winged it. I didn’t follow any strict rules. Mic pretty straight. No angle. You can see the side of the shock mount of the TLM102, so that’s the distance. Yeah I usually use compression, EQ if I feel like it. Then I usually create a bus track or two for reverb. The bus tracks are usually panned to make it sound wider and more alive. ☺️ And most importantly, play with passion!! 🔥😁
Ahhhh I love this so much!!! The way you play an acoustic guitar is always so surprising, it's like you're trying to break her ("girl" I suppse is what you call her hahahaha; this could also be called "Breaking the mic"-I laughed...). And it's exactly how I wanted your tutorials to be!!! Oh Vigi, thanks so much for coming down to my mortal level, I have so much to learn from you ♡ Mine still sounds like breaking something else: wine glasses on granite floor because you've helped me discover the guitar can offer new types of PAIN unbeknownst to me yet (here I thought I knew them all by now and we were friends). It's so cool how the chords (can) sound when played this way using the fat-finger hugging technique. Do you think if I do enough of it my fingers will get fatter? They should, right?
What strings are you using in this video? And what model of guitar is it? :D Sounds great and you explain it very well. If you could record more acoustic tracks in the future of rhcp it would be great ;)
Hello Vigi, how are you!💖, I'm learning the song This one, it's very good...hey, could you put the subtitles in Spanish?🤔, the UA-cam translator doesn't work, it translates other things, which don't make sense, thank you very much! Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷💖
Hmm, do you mean the fact that the original song doesn't have that classical even strumming pattern, but almost a kind of "stuttering" pattern? Or do you think my "stuttering" technique is off? The intro strumming pattern of this song is indeed really special. Thank you!
I haven’t quite put my finger on it still! hahaha I hope you didn’t take it as me saying you’re playing it wrong because I used your video to teach myself. You’re 100% right though, its a special pattern, I find all of Frusciante’s playing to have these subtle nuances that can be hard to duplicate. Cheers man!
Haha ok! No, I didn’t take it in any bad way. Just curious what you meant since I could learn from what you think. :) Indeed he does small nuance differences that makes a large difference. I don’t think I got it perfectly like the original, just something with the same basic idea. :)
OMFG thank u so much vigi
I always been so lazy to figure out this song, and I trust your ear like no one :P
really appreciate this vid mate

Maravilloooooso!! Enorme...q bonito suena...😊😊😊
You play this tune like it's supposed to be played, with power
Indeed the song needs power 🤘
It’s a bit distracting lol
Best rendition and closest feel to John's playing style I've found. Awesome!!!
I’m super happy to hear that! :) Thank you!
i used to listen to the master track of this song and think it was impossible to me, you've made it possible. thanks man!
That’s awesome to hear! Thank you! ☺️
Great playing and tutorial for this cool old classic by RHCP!!
Thank you very much! The guitar for this song sounds so cool. :)
absolutely loved this lesson i’m sure john would approve ;) do more this like this!
I’m sure John doesn’t care, haha. :D But seriously, thank you very much. That means a lot. More to come. :)
Vigi i’m saying that he would probably think it was a good explanation :) your cover of under the bridge with your friend is very good! have a good rest of your day
Thank you very much! Have a great day! :D
You're a legend!
Haha not sure about that but thank you! :)
Love the lesson. Simple but effective! Love it
Thank you very much! I was afraid people would find it too long. But I really enjoyed making it this way. :)
Just came across this. If its not too late for me to learn this its not to late for me to say great lesson!
super duper song and cover
Thx for sharing. I know the song some time, but i only saw the video on youtube where they record it. Damn i was flashed by john and his guitar at the beginning, so rad
That recording is magical. I love the whole documentary! ☺️
Ottimo! Mi mancavano alcuni passagi,grazie!
Wow what a mighty sound! I didn't compare it to the original but I think the sound is spot-on. I have to learn this song one day :)
Thank you very much! :) Well the original uses 12 strings so it has a really different sound. But I like both. :) It’s a fun song to learn. :)
@@Vigi Ah yeah you're right. But the tone is similar. It's a huge Sound with lots of bass but still enough clarity. How did you record it?
Just with a SM57 in a treated room. :)

From Brazil!
Awesome to hear! ☺️ Haha. My problem is I can’t sing. 😅
I like this song. Great job in the guitar!!!!
Me too! Thank you! :)
Learning to play powerful songs like these is exactly why my strings are always out of tune or just missing from my guitar completely...
You're such an inspiration. How long have you been playing, vigi?
Great lesson thank you sir
Thank you!

What? 😅

I think it's because he seems to be playing it in a 4/4 time signature when it should be in 6/8. Idk maybe he is counting in 6/8
Fucking A.
😮
Guitar could’ve been in tune a little better but nice job
Thanks! :)

@@Vigi just my opinion. great playing though 😊
