Talking about separate lines, I had a similar session at Manley Old Hall Fishery on Cherry Tree Pool about a week before Christmas. Fishing not even a top kit out, I was catching Roach, Rudd and Skimmers to my right and 4 feet to my left at exactly the same depth and distance caught nothing but Perch. Great discussion as usual lads. Thanks Ian Red 😉🎣☕
Gordon-did you ever watch on u tube polish video as diver puts a bucket full of a mixed bait in then the roach moved in and the odd small carp they cleared the hole lot in about an hour
Depends what you are doing with them, deads are great if you are putting them in GB or for on the hook. When it comes to colour Andy Bennett gave the best reasoning to just think of it the same as groundbait, darker (red maggots) when it's harder as they are less blatant, then whites when its better fishing and you want something more obvious. Just adjust the ratio throughout the year. But in reality it probably doesn't make much difference.
I love the energy you all discuss silvers with. How about a silver only challenge with whips. One whip, one rig, one bait, one hour. Go!

Brilliant! liking this discussion, particularly the shelf tactics. Nice one lads👍
Great explanation of how to locate fish by following the Tow/Wind from where bait deposited. Thanks guy's
Old tackle challenge =swing tip/spring tip and a butt indicator or even the coke top ring in the can 😂😂😂
Awesome insight from Rich! Like watching three chess masters deciding on the 3 move check mate, mega stuff. Every day I’m learning. Thank you 👍🏻
