Interesting to see a few kids in the dancing and singing in the crowd--how did they get into the subculture, when it's not well-known or even remembered anymore? In my life I've only ever met one avowed Skin in everyday life, a bloke I worked with several years ago at a temporary gig, and he must have been into his fifties at the time. He wore two-tones with his work (kitchen) uniform, and sometimes put Oi records on the work PA, which I thought was pretty cool. Guess there aren't many left into Ska, but those who are stay with it for life.

I started my two wheel riding journey on a small frame Vespa. It gave me a freedom from a toxic abusive home life and brought a joy that probably saved my life, with no exaggeration. I was part of the scene that these people dancing and enjoying themselves, regardless of what any one thinks, were part of. They have a shared bond of loyalty and family through their music and lifestyle, it has remained constant in a fickle world that picks up and sheds styles rapidly. They stay in contact with each other over large distances and i have known people travel great distances to help one another, their bond is rare in a world divided on so many things. I rarley if ever saw any conflict at any of their gatherings, rallys, festivals, which is something that i can not say about a good amount of mainstream festivals i have attended or worked at regardless of how achingly trendy and up to date the attendees are. In a world so polarised by the littlest thing right now, it made me smile when i watched this clip of people who work hard in jobs that keep the country going, the less glamourous ones that take effort to do, just enjoying themselves following a life style that has meaning to them and core values that they have held their whole lives. I reckon thats a rarity and to be cherished, but thats just my opinion... and as many have told me some body once said that opinions are like assholes, we all have one. Hope life is good for you brother, these people look like they are living their best lives.

People of all ages attended as you can see from the videos. Some great memories of that day.
