      herni setiawan , at least these noodles are something I can talk about because I know it too, and I do love them really much. May I ask you, because it's something I'm curious about, would you say the taste is "typical, original Indonesia"? I would ove to cook a easy dish myself but I can't imagine how it spuld taste even I have a accurate recipe, so I can only compare it with these noodles XD greetings from Switzerland ^^/

I wanted to sent you guys rendang and indonesian beef jerky(dendeng) but i was afraid it's going to be spoiled so i sent the indomie version to you 😅 but seriously though, the real stuff is WAY better, and Rendang originated in Minangkabau, in Indonesia, definitely try the one in here it's different than Singapore's cuz I tried the one in Singapore and it can't even compete with the original Rendang hahaha by the way, i think you guys put slightly too much water in the soup indomies 😅

      Erin Uber you're wellcome :D it's Jacqueline by the way :D the Indomie goreng is AMAZING but sadly I think you can't buy the original Indonesian indomie in most countries because of the different health regulations or something >_< so if you find any Indomie outside of Indonesia, you might not taste the real Indomie flavour because they have been reduced and changed a bit

      Jacq's Munchies Jacqueline, I'm so sorry I spelled your name incorrectly! It is sad to hear we can't get the original form of Indonesian Indomie outside of the country, but hopefully the other version still has a good taste. Your package was great! Thank you for sending it to Shinichi and Satoshi. :-) Best wishes for a great week ahead!

    I wish I had seen this when it came out! I didn't understand these dry mixed noodles at first, and just thought it was a more complicated kind of soup! No harm done. I like this now, from the American pov it's almost dietetic, a very small serving. I bought some tiny insulated bowls just for this actually, so they stay hot. It's funny to see it divided into three! I agree with the consensus in the comments here about the original flavor, adding an egg, and maybe a little of the pasta water just to make sure all the stuff dissolves. A fun video!

    Kaldu ayam is my fav for soup type indomie. Because it's so basic you can add whatever additional toppings you've got.
    Indomie goreng also my fav for dry noodle (infact it's our all time favorite).
    For other flavored mie goreng,
    I suggest to ad a raw egg, 5-10 second before draining the water (do it carefully so the egg won't washed along with the water).
    Then mix it thoroughly with the noodle and the seasons while it's still hot. The eggs will mellowing the sauce taste, while it's also make creamier texture.

    • @prakasyitapitaloka7752
      @prakasyitapitaloka7752 7 років тому +1

      On second thought, if it is a Japanese egg, adding it directly to the bowl (without heating it first with the noodle) then mix with hot noodle and seasoning sauce, will do the same (and easier) result...

    Hi guys! Watching you is the best. I grab something to eat, always, or I'd be losing it and just put a webisode on the TV. I need to live in Japan, that's where my soul has been since I was in my schooling years. Traveling is quite expensive. But wow, I'd never be bored of the same old eats living there. And I'll bet Japan doesn't use bleached flour. I was raised on ramen, I loved the way my dad made it and couldn't wait to try making it myself- I used too much water the first time, didn't cook it long enough the second time, just a bunch of fails until I got the perfect make for me. I never made a terrible pot of ramen ever again. *sigh* but now I can't eat it because of medical conditions, so watching you makes me happy, because it's like I can recall every taste and taste ones that I haven't just listening to you guys talk about it so casually. Not like cooking shows when they taste and describe and I want them to shut up lol because they're making me cringe.

    "Iga penyet" literally means "crushed ribs". You grill the "iga", or ribs, with some sweet soy sauce marinade, after that, combine it with some crushed chili paste. When making any "penyet" dishes usually Indonesians use "ulekan" (some sort of mortar & pestle) and the meat (could be chicken or ribs) is "crushed" together with the chili paste.
    I personally love the Soto Mie flavor. It's quite different from any other flavors. Had the classic Kaldu Ayam, Empal Gentong (loved it too, but it's no longer produced I guess), but nothing compares to Soto Mie. I would add a bit of sweet soy sauce to balance the sourness in it. :D

    Indomie goreng is the best, but you get indomie goreng export version, the local version don't have chili sauce in it, but it has chili powder, and that make the taste different a litlle bit
    I wanna say that you did make the soup noodle a little bit wrong. The volume of water you used is too many, so that the flavor became too mild
    Rendang, iga penyet, dendeng balado, they are beef flavor. I wonder you guys tell it is lamb, lol
