Nice work! Thanks for posting My SC clutch is not engaging at all and the bypass air flap is not closing. I will try your MOSFET fix and check the signal wire to the ECU. My scan tool allows me to engage the clutch. It does not let me close the air flap as it's non responsive same with a spare used air flap.
Thanks, I just fixed my Benz following your video. Still is hesitant to accelerate but now the compressor clutch disengages on idle and the bypass valve closes on hard acceleration. The clutch also engages on hard acceleration.
Yes, but I have a question. Car works great of I don't step hard on the gas, but if I do, it starts to idle poorly, shuts down, and I shut it off, wait some time, start again and can move for a minute then does not want to accel, etc. I disconnect the MAF start a couple of times, let shut off by itself then reconnect and works good again until I demand hard acceleration. What could it be? No codes.
@@capifsjshop did you Get it to stop choking, when pressing the accelerator pedal hard / fast? And are you down on power up to 130 kmh ? Mine worked well until I washed it, and driving away from the shop, the engine suddenly started running like crap.
Hi! I found this video and followed the exact steps. I ve changed the mosfet and after I reconnected the ECU the car it's not starting. The dash lights comes up, the key connects and works, but when I try to start it doesn't do anything. It was starting before I removed the ECU :)). Any ideas what could went wrong? Thank you!
I have the same issue with my C200 Kompressor from 2001. How can I be sure that the MOSFET is burned? The flap is never moving, it is always opened. When running diagnosis there are 2 faults only - Camshaft Position Sensor - no message and MAF Sensor fault. I checked both faults and sensors seem to be fine and also voltages and current going in and out look good. Is there a way to be sure it is burned MOSFET before doing any disassembling of engine's ECU?
I simply put my foot down one day then when I lifted off I had a missfire as one of my plug coils blew. I believe that sudden voltage spike blew the mosfet.
What happened to me was a coil pack blew on a plug and then my supercharger stopped as it blew a MOSFET on the circuit board. The symptoms that the supercharger then has was it did not engage or turn on .

So do both these cars even have the K40 relay unit where the soldering points burn off? Because from looking at your video I dont see it. That would mean that either my clutch is shot (unlikely as my car is only 54k km) or I have same ecu mosfet issue that you fixed.
@@GrooveOn Understood. I did all the tests today that you did and I have same problem. Took out the ECU and gonna give it a shot once I get the mosfet.

@GrooveOn yeah after using the 3rd mosfet I installed the ecu and connected a test light instead of the clutch and worked plugged the clutch in and blew so the coil must have a short. Can't find a new coil anywhere
Hi.Is it BUK101-50DL OR BUK101-50GL What you showing in the video on the ebay picture says buk101-50 dl and in the description you say its a buk101-50gl
BUK101 - 50GL is identical to the DL but short circuit load protection max. is 20v, the DL is 35v but the switching rate is faster. Differences are minimal and should do the job. The "G" denotes a higher standard of component.👍
@@GrooveOn thank you. I have checked my bypass flap because on idle it makes a tac tac tac noise and I have seen that it closes only on extremely high rpm. Can you help? Is it normal? At how many rpm should it close?
@@standolfo Hi there, the bi-pass valve should be open without movement, the slight movement doesn't sound quite correct. The valve should close around 1200 + revs if the valve is not engaging until really high revs, then I would look at possible changing it mate?
