I had the same problem on my CLK230 - faultcode P0805 Umluftklappensignal Endstufe - (Connection broken) bypass valve. In my case it wasn't a cut wire but some plastic within the connector that prevented a good fit on the valve housing. Not good visible and it kept on the housing if you pulled on the cable but apparently it was not on the housing all the way as it should.
Other tip:
If you see faultcode P0806 on CLK W208 Kompressor (Magnetkupplung Kompressor Endstufe) AND the supercharger keeps spinning also on low refs. This could be a broken Mosfet in MainComputer steering the supercharger always on. (NOT the K40 overload protection relay), (BUK101 50GL TO-220 type mosfet). Easy and cheap fix if you can solder.
(de-solder the mosfet to test it. hard to do that on the board. Or just replace it)
Both problems result in slow driving cars .. "limp mode when flooring"

The coil behind the pulley shorts out and if you leave it it burns out a power diode in the engine ECU which burns out and controls the air bypass valve attached to the air filter box . So it is a double whammy. The coil s for the clutch are no longer made . So second hand unit. And you also need to replace the doide in the engine ECU to make the bypass valve operate 😮😮😮

it's one of the power diode in the engine ecu that tells the bypass valve to operate over 2500 rpm
had to repair my engine ecu by replacing the correct power diode

Only applicable to the press face lift r170 slk the one which does NOT have indicators in the door mirrors

Very well put together and cut with the modesty. I watched it all. I've seen one for sale 2001 slk auto for 500 pounds! Unfortunately road taxes insurance and parking permit in London will push another 1000 on top but it is a handsome convertible with the top up or down.
Get rid if Mayor Khan and you will have a cheaper and safer cost of living.

I bought a slk230 from 99, manual. When I come around 60-80km/h the car stops pushing forward, and the supercharger doesn’t work. Have you heard about this type a problem before? Let me know😅

I can command the clutch to engage and the bypass flap to close with the scan tool. However, the supercharger does not engage above 2000 RPMs. Any thoughts? Current code is a P1235

They charge $500 Dollars to give it a Matt Black finish although if the paint is as good as yours I would leave it alone .
I ended up spraying it in Matte Metallic Red, The shop was a little too hot but it came out pretty good even tho it has a few blemishes.
Hello, please let me know what you did to reset the butterfly... I fixed the cable and soldering on K40, supercharger now running but the butterfly stays open. Please, how to let it behave as usual? Thank you very much
Sorry for the late reply, make sure you are bringing the engine up to 2,000 - 2,500 rpms when checking if the flap is closing. Not saying you didnt know that just making sure to cover all the bases. this is how i did my reset below.
1. with Ignition off and the air intake off reach down and push the flap tell it closes
2. Turn the ignition on and you should hear the flap close, keep ignition on for 15 seconds
3. Switch ignition off for 5 seconds
4. Switch ignition on for 45 seconds
5. switch ignition off for 5 seconds
@@MitchCarveth Hello, maybe the first time I did it wrong. Instead of pulling that supercharger throttle body off, I only removed the tube on its right. If it doesn't feel the good amount of air, it can't move, am I wrong? So, for a real test, should I remove that body with the tube on the right attached? Isn't it? And then, if needed, I should reset....can you confirm? thanks
@@ieripoi Correct, go ahead and remove both the bypass valve and tube from the air intake box then try and test it. It should close like mine does towards the end of the video.

how u installed the angel eyes? its not plug and play right u need to do smth else no? cause I got those too but the angel eyes doesnt work
I ran the power and ground cables coming from the Halos to my fog light wiring and spliced them in. when i turn the fogs on the Halos will come on.

where did you get the plug from and how did you do the by pass reset buddy
I got the plug from Ballenger Motorsports and this is how i did the reset,

I wonder how much longer the black wheel trend will last. They just look like you lost the wheel covers or you havent cleaned the brake dust in decades.
Your country does not seem to care about vehicle safety change headlight etc is a major issue, not only with the vehicle annual safety check but with insurance companies as well, most will nit insure your car when modified.
Thankfully we don't have to worry about annual safety checks where i live
