Vildhjarta VS. HLB 🔥
Buster's importance to the metal scene cannot be overstated
10000% agree.
Yes, it can.
yes and no, Thall/Djent is a very specific scene, it won't influence other genre/band like Meshuggah did in the past for exemples. And sadly the majority of metalhead don't even know Buster
but int the last years, he is probably the best composer i've heard about
@@cerberus3504 buster? Is that CJ from San Andreas? 🤔
@@cerberus3504 his production is also the best ive heard
soundtrack for the end of the world
been saying the same for years
i mean check the bands name
Vildhjarta is the soundtrack for the rebuilding of the world then
After listening to this a couple of times i think i actually like this even more than Labyrinthian. It's not as in your face and heavy, but the atmospheric depth is top notch. Didn't fully comprehend during my first listen, but i think it might be one of my favourite songs by HLB.
It sounds absolutely haunting, really fitting for a band with a name like Humanity's Last Breath
I think ill agree with you on this as well. By the first listen, Labyrinthian got my attention right at the beginning, which then i started listening to it non stop. Instill on the other hand, i had a slow start to it, I didnt connect to it right away, but the more i listened the more i started feeling the song, so now i am almost liking this one better than Labyrinthian haha
Labyrinthian sucks bro. This is the best song from the album
I think I almost certainly like this more than Labyrinthian. The vibe of as you said "humanity's last breath" (as in they really live up to their name in vibe) is turned up to 11. Breakdowns are great, but this is just... making me feel something. I'm admittedly underdeveloped emotionally due to my childhood so I struggle to feel emotions in a lot of music but this sure made me feel... something powerful and epic.
The ambience got me ascending to Valhalla.
*Vildhjarta

Descending to hell 🤘🏻
Atmosphere in this is unreal. Felt like the aftermath of a nuclear bomb
After My first listen, I sat there in silence.
To me, this is their best song. Incredibly atmospheric and oppressive. It has complex elements in a digestible song structure. The use of space in the instrumentation is masterful and adds a weight.
If/when humanity has its last breath- it would sound like this.
I don't believe the choir vocals are a sample, they are sang by Heli Andrea based off a Bulgarian Folklore song "Kaval Sviri" and that is what she is singing I believe. Definitely recommend listening to it because it gave me intense chills!
I knew I had heard that choir before! Thank christ someone knew where it was from haha, would have driven me mad.
This song is a grower for sure. By 3rd listen I was well on my way with it, a lot to unpack but this will go down as God Tier metal.
1 day later and this is absolutely the best song they have done.
The choir sounds Bulgarian to me
@@mannyblackstar That´s because it is.The title of this is "kaval sviri". Video on yt.
it sounds so powerfull like it can destroy mountains and i love it...great reaction🤘
Not a single word yet so much reaction, they got me speachless as well :D
1:54, this was my exact reaction. Props to Calle, Filip, Marcus and Klas.... but Buster Odeholm is changing the way music as a whole is mixed. Still completely speechless. THALL.
Humanity casually looking to drop the heaviest AOTY
The dissonance and shifting in tempos within this track just send me. This album will be huge.
ThallCore 🔥🔥
The thall at 4:15 killed me lmaooo
I love Labyrinthian but I prefer Instill. Feels so epic man, what a track!
Album of the decade incoming on Aug 4th djentlemennnnn
I think this might be the best thing they've done. Objectively the most sonically complete. Melodic, melancholic, epic, brutal, beautiful.
The quire is bulgarian traditional folklor music
Bulgarian folklor- Kaval sviri
I had straight goosebumps listening to this. Fucking masterpiece.
This is not just a song, this is an EXPERIENCE!
I've always listened to metal, but the feeling that H.L.B causes me is something from another planet. It's by far my favorite band. So fu**** unique 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Aaaa haaaaa I seen you on the premier I was waiting for your reaction.... ALLLL ILL SAY IS OMFGGGG PPOOWEEERRR
Right from the off I had goosebumps
But yes need a load more listens pure goosebumps

The choir really is the icing on the cake here, man! If you want to hear the full song that it's sampled from, search up "Bulgarian folklor- Kaval sviri" and give it a whirl lol. This song is bonkers in the atmosphere it creates, though... Sheesh, man..
This song was so amazing. When buster said he wanted to get rid of “happy” sounding stuff that’d mean less of the black metal influence but it appears I was mistaken. I love this song so much, this is what I want the whole album to sound like.
6:20 I knew those choir type vocals sounded familiar, its indeed also in that Aviana track man thats sick, this song is wicked heavy as well
It's a hungarian women's folk choir. Look it up on youtube, it's actually really beautiful on it's own.
@@antnybeard69 Bulgarian actually, lol. The track is called Kaval Sviri, taken from Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares Vol. 2
I kinda want to see Drew interviewed on a podcast. Or at lesst do like an AMA and tell us a little bit about your life and how you got into heavy music and started this channel. Much love 🤘
ua-cam.com/video/ULpZfjRyr0s/v-deo.html here you go my friend
A 9 for me. This song just sounded so unique, while still clearly being HLB. They atmosphere they created was immense.
Much prefer this kind of track to their last one.
The choirs made me ascend, reminds me of the song "Irregular God" by Kevin Penkin which is a soundtrack from the show Tower Of God. It just sounds unearthly, Buster has done it again.
It's bulgarian folklore, the name of the piece is called 'kaval sviri'.
@@opushead Appreciate it, I love choir music like this. Absolutely stoked to see it incorporated in a band like HLB. Dödgud was fantastic because of it.
Bruh HLB vs Masstaden is going to be absolutely wild
I had to wrap myself in a blanket ... chills
Was Buster's neighbour when he went to school. And my former band's bassist went to HLB. That said, Buster just rips and doesn't care what anyone thinks.
ashen is gonna be TOTY. thall of the year.
This is a lot better than Labrynthian
Seriously, Labrynthian was already really solid, but this blew it out of the water. I really hope this isn't my favorite track on the record, I hope whatever this sound is is the rest of the album.
Twas fantastic
Recently I saw a comment that this track is just a wall of sound created in an unusual and unique way. Let's face it. Buster's work is a masterpiece. This is another level of listening to music. Another world that I missed. A world without hope, full of fear, eternal suffering. It is beautiful. Thank you for this review.
can you even get more heavy than this? holy shid. 9/10 for me the only thing that throws me off is blast beats. regardless. jfc.
It's great to always Thall in Love again. 🥰
This is a new level of brutality.!!
Let the world sing in despair. ♥
This sounds like end of the fucking world. Love it.
Song is a banger. I personally enjoyed it a lot but I might just be biased.
I just love how cinematic it was and the structure felt very unique compared to the slightly more conventional one we got in Labyrinthian since it was more groove focused. Both are heavy as hell and I’m hyped for Ashen without a doubt.
Also, I made it to the highlighted comments in the chat hahaha. 🤙
Bro the breakdown never gets old holy shit it fucks me raw every god damn time
This was amazing
So just a quick lil question senior, i realised u listened to the alphawolf albumn a while back, did u ever check out their ep with holding absense? If u havent its it sensual my brother, give it a go if youve got time 🙏🏻
Bought the box set because of this song alone
right behind you
I can swear on everything thats holly for me that those female choruses are Mistery of Bulgarian voices ❤
Buster's bends give me goosebumps on the low strings
you know when the music gives you the same face as the Train enjoying dude, that you like the music
Aviana thaaaats where I’ve heard that before
BULGARIAN CHOIRCORE
this song is a mouthful of thally peanut butter. THICCCCC
THALL
This song made me feel like hell
That dissonant riff and choir feels very black metal and I'm aaaaall about that shit 😫
this sample angel chorus in the background at the beginning sounds EXACTLY like the breakdown in the song Paradox from Aviana hmmmmmmmm same sample?
Instantly what I though of when I heard it too. INSTANTLY! (2:20-2:53 of Paradox by Aviana ft. Marcus Vik for those who are curious)
Check out Bulgarian Folklor-kaval sviri. It's wher the sample came from
Yeah we sussed it out in the stream. Paradox -Aviana and Instill use the Bulgarian Folklor song @AturnerC mentioned
The production is a piece of cake. If only the vocals would have been a little louder.
The visuals is also next level for this video
Some people seem to think the choirs are sampled, but they were actually recorded by the very talented Heli Andrea :D
The whole song is a permastank face 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
got some Brutus vibes
