Question… in most instances wouldn’t you do most automation during mixing? Things like volume and plugin parameters? I can see if you’re automating on the master to affect the whole project but for automating individual songs?
Hi, thanks for watching the channel, it's much appreciated. I think you are correct, most automation happens in mixing. However, I tend to automate more global things in the project page. For me, that may be a slight lift in volume at beginning of a chorus for example, or perhaps some stereo widening at certain points. This COULD be done in the mix, but I prefer the separation of tasks.
