That baby was never unwanted, the birth mother was trying to battle through getting help for her addiction and knew she couldn’t care for a baby, and the nurse fell in love with her instantly. At no point in this story does it sound like she was unwanted.

she was not unwanted, two moms wanted her, but one couldn’t give her what she needed and this one did. i hope she never reads this and believes it to be true because it isn’t. i can almost guarantee her birthmom is thinking of her, missing her and wishing she could have kept her because she loves her. i hope she knows that.

sgtmian Her Birth mom didn’t want her at all. If she did, she would have done everything in her power to make sure she was healthy. She should ha e checked herself into a clinic.

bubgum00 a healthy person would, but that’s not how addiction works. i have no idea who the birthmom is, i’m on the other side of the planet, but it isn’t that hard to have empathy for someone who lost their child, and understand that just because you have an illness which makes it impossible for you to take care of your children, doesn’t mean you love them any less.
As much as it's amazing to adopt an "unwanted baby", I don't think it's fair of the show to tittle it that way, particularly if the baby gets to see this when she's older. Imagine reading the tittle of this segment and you're the "unwanted baby".
Change the tittle to something positive and empowering.

Yes, I thought the same. Because she was not unwanted....I think even the birth mother want the best for her little girl. Drug addiction is an illness. Instead of blaming drug addicted people we need more understanding and help for those.

Ive had family members and friends i knew adopted from similar situations (drug addiction parents) and was “sugar coated” about the whole reason of the adoption or blatantly lied to about being adopted and when they got much older and found out the truth/reality of the situation they came from they was PISSED. And all around mad about it and would say they understand when they was a little kid it would be too much to handle/understand but would have preferred to know the truth at there early teens age. That it would’ve helped them mentally during that time and into adulthood to have that closure and to have that time to wrap your head around it or cope with it before “adulting” and with the pressures already on there shoulders when they did find out. And all they wanted to do was to go back in time always 5/10yrs reference and explain to themselves when they was struggling mental health during puberty, Yes some people are brought into this world in the most unfortunate circumstances. But it is reality. Not everyone can have picture perfect childhood. And more often times. These exact people who go thru this and have that awareness of themselves and this world end up being the stronger of us. And make difference in the world for others born to similar circumstances.

My late dad was asked, "How are your adopted kids?" He about flipped out. His response was, " They're not my adopted kids, they're my kids."

Gisele is the cutest little thing..I think adoption is a good idea for most people because you save that child's life..my grandma adopted me when I was 6 and it was THE BEST thing that ever happened to me..so I try to advocate for adoption whenever I can,because it is a great thing..if I ever decide to have children,I will definitely adopt..I wish Liz and Gisele all the happiness in the world and a long life together :)

Yes instead of throwing them away. My grandma had me since I was 2 weeks old and now I'm 53 and my mom died when she was 91 and that was 20 years ago.

NICU nurses and therapists are absolute Angels. My daughter was 2lbs, born at 27 weeks and the sickest baby in the NICU. I say this to let you all know that I have seen them at work personally. Hours and hours of tireless and loving care. And not just for the babies, but they care for us, the families too. They are very special souls that I pray are continuously blessed. 💖💖💖

My Aunt and Uncle are fostering (and trying to adopt) a little girl and boy, and they look so much like my aunt and uncle even though they have no blood connection. People come up to them all the time and tell them how much they look alike, and my aunt and uncle just get a good laugh out of it. They have been fostering them for almost a year now, and they are already very much a part of our family. The only thing left to do is get the girls birth father to give up parental rights so they can be adopted!
@@jamiesilver7401 same here. My uncle adopted a baby in 1994. He was 2 weeks old. He was born bald. By the time he turned 2 they realized he was a red head.. both my uncle and his wife are gingers! And besides that...he looks just like my uncle. .even thier baby pictures. So crazy. It's like it was just ment to be.
