I love their sophisticated arrangements, but their "simple" things are closer to my heart.
I am a huge Elvis fan. I have heard many remakes of this song but this is by far my FAVORITE! It is just so beautiful. Their harmonies as always are just on point.
That felt like a prayer or a hymn to me, just so, so beautiful. Nice to see PTX with all the original members again. 😃
I agree 100%, the ability to clearly hear each individual voice in the mix is impressive. I especially like the "cascading", bell-tone arpeggios in the last two choruses. Kirstin, who is always beautiful, is particularly stunning in this video as well.

Such a beautiful song, and they express emotions so well when they sing. First time I heard this I found an hour loop of it and just listen med to it and enjoyed every minute of it.
It is just beautiful, they are spectacular together.
I love their version of this song. It really doesn't get enough attention from reactors, glad you choose it! And love how, even though everyone has been very still throughout the song, Scott can't help but use his hands to finish the song, LOL!

What I loved about this is PTX chose to do this in four instead of the usual 6/8! As I’ve said many times before, that time signature gave the song more poignancy and emotional power! And the end chord was an A9 with the voicing spread out and anchored by Avi’s 3rd ledger-line contrabass A! The chord was filled with overtones and sounded like an organ produced it!

This is actually my favorite version of this song...and I was around to hear Elvis sing it.
This was I believe Avi's very last video with the band. You really should catch up with Avi Kaplan's solo work when you have a chance. He seems to have made it out of his dark period and continues to experiment with many different forms of Americana music. The evolution of the songwriter is fascinating. New album due out May 20th produced by Shooter Jennings.

There is another audio only song that I would love for you to do and I think every pentaholic would agree with me. The song is called "anchor" and Mitch wrote it in 2014 and it's so special to the group that couldn't find a special enough place to put it, until the lucky ones deluxe songs came out.
