Improvise is a real good one. Being a coal miner I just take that ability for granted most of the time. Hell when you are stuck in a coal seam about 2/3 of a meter high 4 or 6 KM underground and the buggy your only way out breaks down you better be able to improvise to get your ass out because it's too far and low to crawl. Be flexible. There are no defenites in traveling other than sun up and down. Things happen and you have to figure out a new plan. You have to be sharp and quick on your feet to get the ball rolling in a suitable way. Experience will bring that. All the skills Pavlin talked about are true. Much needed. Generally the only way to learn them first hand is to live them. Be ready Be smart and twist the grip. see the world while you are young able and without responsibility. I'm glad I did. All good from East Kentucky USA. Next time Pavlin safe rides.

Communication - yes I agree totally. When I was younger I was super shy and wouldn’t speak to strangers. I later learned that I should do this. I have been helped so much by strangers just by speaking pleasantly to them. Especially useful when you are on your own in a strange land. They are the ones who will tell you to avoid certain places or to go to special areas. Another thing: I don’t like asking for help, but I had to a few times. Most people enjoy helping others. I have been helped in so many ways because I asked.
