  • The 2024 Maserati GranTurismo coupe has had a change of heart. No less than 16 years after the original was revealed in 2007, the second-generation GranTurismo burst onto the scene last year, bringing with it not one, but two major changes under the bonnet.
That's right; the iconic Ferrari-sourced 4.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol V8 engine is no more. Instead, a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 from the Maserati MC20 supercar has taken its place in two states of tune: 360kW/600Nm for the entry-level Modena, or 405kW/650Nm for the mid-spec Trofeo. There's also a fully electric Folgore flagship with a 560kW/1350Nm tri-motor powertrain, but we'll save that for another day.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Byron Mathioudakis gets behind the wheel of the new internal-combustion GranTurismo to find out if it should be the grand tourer of your dreams.

But it’s been the same shape for 20 years or so. I wouldn’t mind some sort of update on its looks

Other than modern electronic touches inside. It looks exactly the same as the old one that was 16years old.. which you can pick up from $60,000. Also the deprecation doesn't stop there..

If you are going to "review" a vehicle, at least learn how to pronounce the names.
    Trofeo is TRO FAY O
    Folgore is FOL GO RAY
