I’m 62 and vegan for 7 years. I agree. But please don’t throw food in a garbage bag. Take it to a shelter. Or find some homeless people to give it to. Those of us privilege to make the best choices for food should not forget that some people are not able to make such choices. These people just need and would appreciate ANY food which will help them make it to the next day. Maybe later down the line they will be in a position to make great food choices like those discussed in this video. But until they get there, don’t forget about them. Donate any food you don’t want. Some food is better than none.
Dried mixed herbs, sundried veggies (from Lidl Italian range, oil-free, have a little salt, delicious! and you only need to eat a few, very low cal). Microwave garlic - much quicker than roasting it. Grated carrot and beetroot added to salads, sprinkle with fresh lemon juice.
I used to have ALOT of stomach issues I was told by many people that eating plant-based food would be very beneficial to me so i gave it a shot! and it was by far the best decision I have ever made for myself I did a lot of research and found a website that was very informative. this is the website if anyone is interested 🙂
Same only beans still cause me a little digestion problem. I love beans abnd I do soak them overnight. I do better if I put them in soup and not too much.
I just started sharing videos on my UA-cam channel about how our family of 4 has made this WFPB way of eating work for the past 14 years. Keeping it simple is key. Our cauliflower Alfredo sauce that I make in the instant pot is a family favorite.
He talks about saturated fats in his end heart disease book, but basically it’s ok to eat saturated fat from nuts including coconut as long as it is in moderation. You don’t want to overconsume these things anyway because they’re full of calories and you’ll gain weight quickly if you eat too much nuts. But studies show eating some plant fats like nuts is actually good for heart health. It’s the animal sources that are terrible.

Dr Fuhrman, Do you have any advice or information on families with complex challenges. We have a child on the spectrum with an avoidant selective diet (she preferres high fat, salt, crispy foods like processed meats, chicken nuggets, and buttered rice. Drs want her in high calorie diet due to malnutrition and they (dr and nutritionist) are suggesting adding oil, butter, peanut butter, etc to whatever we can get her to consume. Trying to model. She said she wants to like vegetables and fruits. But the actual act is very challenging.
Only trouble is : mycotoxins, molds, and fungus. Avoid mushrooms, dried foods, and eat fresh only. These ideas may look good on paper but they're not if you have a chronic fungal issue in your gut.
