    It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be replacing Valve Cover Gasket On A 100 Series Land Cruiser / Lexus LX470

    This video has answered all the questions I had on replacing these gaskets. Great job, and the production we way better than I expected. I will watch other videos, as I have just under 400,000 miles on my truck and really haven't done much maintenance to it. Thanks again.

    Yup... Wits' End stuff is awesome. He has some great kits that he has put together that takes the guess work out of finding all the appropriate parts. Used his kit to redo my Heater Ts. If/when I need to do this I will use his kit. Plus, I will be making a pilgrimage to his new place up in Oregon (along with the mtb) to grab the cargo barrier when the 100 series ones are ready!

    Good video! One suggestion: If the engine has over 200k miles, and you have the technical ability, check the valve clearances to see if they are within spec. This engine lacks automatic/hydraulic lifters, the valve clearances are adjusted with shims.

    Did you complete this entire job in one day? If so that’s impressive! Also, while you have valve covers off do you think the headers would be more easily accessible?

    • @MisterMemo
      @MisterMemo  3 роки тому +1

      It took me two days. I’m sure I could have done it in one day if I wasn’t filming it. Don’t think it would have made getting to the headers easier. But I could be wrong. Thanks for watching!

    This is really a good tutorial. For me for some reason I cannot get the valve cover flush when reinstalling it. As if there something in the way. The VC should be flush like yours, but mine has a gap…any ideas why?
