Situational awareness is SOOOOOO important, whether you're in prison or not.

Great story as always. I am a Surgical Technician with 50 years of experience, mostly trauma, and a retired Army Combat Medic. I am mentioning that so you know I am no troll. The common Carotid Artery is deep in the neck. Even if he didn't get the Carotid, he most definitely would get the axillary Artery, axillary vein, AND the brachial Plexus that provides all movement and sensation to the arm. So, no matter which arm pit you stick, it will always be fatal.
I worked at Salem Memorial Hospital after getting out of active duty. The prison there provided me a LOT of experience with trauma surgery, long before I went to Baghdad in 2004.
One patient I remember to this day, was a woman, whose husband just got out of the Oregon State Prison. She had been stabbed 57 times, 15 times down her left arm, 16 times down her right. He stabbed her chest, belly front and back, and for a grand finale, he cut her throat ear to ear and missed her Carotid arteries and jugular veins. Surprisingly to me, she survived.
    Thanks for your videos.
I have pancreatic cancer, went through surgery for it, 2 separate courses of chemo, radiation etc.. I can't tolerate t.v. and so I have many hours surfing the web, which is how I came across your website.
    God bless

I had a friend, tony, who was as gay as can be, super nice guy, but he was the definition of jekyl and hyde. A dude was gay bashing him while we were at the park, tony didnt care, but dude was getting heated because he couldnt get a rise out of Tony...he made the mistake of swinging on tony...big mistake. You see, tony was the son of a former marine mcmap expert and was in the army for 3 years (he was honorably releaased after coming out to his command...it was a different time). Tony broke dude arm and separated his shoulder. Cops got called, tony calmly told them what happened, admitted he may have went a little overboard, but he felt his life/health was in danger and he reacted. Tony got anger management and a few days in the local lockup...his agressor got a year on attempted assault and simple possession...moral of the story, dont judge the dude in a pink feather boa...he can definitely off you with the quickness.

another great vid bro. and yes, when people are tired of the repetition.....the will react, just shows how many people should take into consideration on principles some learned from being locked up, thats why i have a high(and/or even higher) level of respect from ones that been in prison and willing to use that experience to better themselves and offer to help out others, much appreciated bro, ty, one love, be good or be good at it and positive energy your way and to all that need or wants it

That's one heck of a cautionary tale. I've not done any prison or jail time, but 1 thing that cost nothing, though is priceless........RESPECT.
A few times whilst working at a mens residental rehab( usually an alternative for men on their way to or from prison), I would need to pop in to pick up something or drop something off. I would occassionally have my daughter with me. Obviously I said hi to all the clients and would introduce my daughter. They would let her join in on ping pong, a game of footy, a card game whatever. It came time for clients to leave the program, as they had successfully completed it. We presented them with a certificate, a gift and they responded with a small speech. Several times the mens eyes would well up, as they thanked me for not just trusting them to meet my daughter, but that I had taught her to never judge someone by their "tattoos, piercings, style of dressing, scars, missing teeth, speech issues, swearing, choice of partner etc. They said they felt seen for who they were not by the mistakes they had made.

I’d love to hear your opinion on Privately owned prisons. I did time in Nashville at a corporate joint for folks doing more than a year but less than 8 years. Kind of halfway between a jail and a prison. It was some bullshit. Imagine doing state time and paying county jail prices for commissary. This was around 2015-2017 and I think soups were like 1.50. Crazy shit. The phone system was GlobalTel Link, which is ANOTHER predatory corporation making ridiculous amounts of money off of our misfortune and making it damn near impossible to keep in contact with your loved ones. I’d love to hear your opinion on that fuckery as well.
    Keep on keepin’ on.

It's amazing the similarities between soldiering and being a prisoner. And like a lot of Cons, a lot of us Grunts come from adverse backgrounds. Bad areas, bullying etc. So you learn situational awareness from a young age. Like many Cons, a lot of Grunts are social misfits who grew up hating authority and society. Yet somehow when you are in there it works. You work together. You have each other's six. You're all each other has. Scarily similar mate.

I lucked out when I was transported (between county and court) because I was pregnant so their rules state just to cuff in front. That's here in NY though so I'm not sure what that would be in other states. This time I was only in county for a week because I already accepted probation because I was pregnant but the entire week I was there I was on the block but locked in my cell the whole time. I was only allowed to come out and get my tray and go right back in. They didn't even let me shower. I was almost 7mths pregnant so it was not a pleasant experience. This definitely contributed to my postpartum when I delivered by emergency c-section shortly after getting out.

I believe it's the axillary artery this kid stabbed, which then becomes the brachial in the arm. The carotid is in the neck. And then the femoral artery runs down the leg. Brachial artery under the armpit, carotid is in the neck. Femoral is second only to the carotid, and is easiest to access inside the thigh.
