@@KNoxTratZ well the front speakers don’t work that might be why but is there a specific speaker where that comes from bc if yes I can replace it if needed
I have the same truck with a few add on accessories. Ranch hand bumper guard, black rock star wheels with more aggressive tires, flow master exhaust, back up camera, rock star side step, camo seat covers, hard tunnel cover, and of course you have to have all LED lights. We pulled our camper all over the Rockies in all 17 med western states. With a 143,000 plus miles this truck performed flawless on our trip. Headed next for the great smokies with no hesitation on the capability of this truck.
6:59 yes it's my favorite front end out of all the generations of the Chevy Silverado. I hope to get one with a front end and body like that. It would have been cool if they kept it like that.
Clean truck man! I sure love them. The HD style hood and split grill are beautiful. I just bought a hood and grill for my 2004. Good luck with your newer truck. Check out my 04 sometime.
DarrenWS6 thanks buddy, I appreciate the comment! I agree on the looks of the 06 hood and grill, much cleaner look to it. I’ll check out your pickup man!
5.3 is solid. My 01 is still going great. Get a newer than 07 and you’re getting into the bankruptcy/recession period and all the versions of oil burning active fuel management junk. Good luck
I have the 2007 "classic " Silverado. Regular cab, with the v6 long bed LS package. Since it was built late in production, I think I have one of the last 5 speed manual transmissions. I love this truck. Can I afford a new one, yes? But I just keep it up with 170000 miles.
That auto climate is way old tech. Lincoln and caddys had it in the early 70's with auto mode even for the fan settings just wasn't digital. This is probably just more refined lol.
L33 engine is essentially just a high compression 5.3l using the 4.8l flat top pistons but I have to say it may not be a huge hp jump at least on paper but mine will flat out roast the tires off it and did I mention it has 33 inch tires and 20 inch rims... I absolutely love mine
From what I gather, 2006 and older are the best Chevy Silverado trucks. 4 speed automatic and no fuel management BS (the one that puts your truck in 4 cylinders or whatever). I'm actually going to try to find one in the near future. Nice truck! Do you still have it??? Damn it sounds like you sold it. No! I would never sell my 2003 Trailblazer 4x4 LTZ reliable SUV with only 158k miles.
Have a 06 4.3L v6 vortex. At 135,000 I replaced my heads because of them cracking. Also put a flow master exhaust. What upgrades can I do to my truck so it can have more hp
Are the V6 engines cast iron and are they in these trucks? I mostly just go to the store grocery shopping with the wife and just a little hauling my sons dirt bike at times.
i have a 07 classic that im going to get lifted saw 3,5 on rough country im not sure if im right but it comes with the upper control arm thanks for uploading i have the crew cab
You bet! I think that may be for the newer body style if it has the control arms. The kit I got came with lift blocks for the back, torsion keys, and new shocks. I installed it myself without power tools and it was actually a fairly easy job
Not a fan of the green, but mine is champagne so....lol I’d like to paint my 01, but adding rockers and cab corners, then paint cost is more than the truck is worth. I also don’t want to worry about getting it dirty
Th newer 2010s and up cars, most of it, the digital cluster is integrated to the radio unit which is what I hate. The very old 2006 and down like this truck is standalone.
The newer chevy trucks look like they made the front end to look super big . Which probably is not good for areodynamics . In fact it looks like a wall going down the road. When your truck is unloaded wouldn't you want fuel savings ?? GM , ? I have a 2005 GMC Sierra !! yes it replaced my leased 2017 Ram pentastar 1500. Chrysler, please get out of the auto industry. 5x in for cam phasers, check engine, traction off would put in limp mode on highway VERY DSNGEROUS !! They don't stand behind their warrenty . Both the dealer and Chrysler..
I bet your regretting selling that truck now. 99-07 classic (specifically 03-07 classic) the GMT800 best trucks GM ever made. 07 and up are garbage. Good looking the K2xx are but GM ruined them. Took the solid drive train and power train and trashed it with all the crap that’s on the them. Sure the over all materials are better. But overall the GMT800 is the best well rounded package GM ever had. My 2014 is had its share of issues. I should have never ever sold my 2006.
Love the Cateyes, they just look straight pissed off all the time and I love it
Matthew Jensen I know that’s what I’m sayin
with out the headlights it wouldn't be as popular as it is now it seems...inside is pretty bland even with the leather interior
I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 and when I put the keys on it Dosent make the beeping sound why?
@@User_-bv4fw that truck is ancient but probably the speaker died out

Great video. Nothing beats the GM small block V8. I mean nothing.
Couldn’t agree more buddy!

Dirty Salty Dull Flake Green...I love it too
I agree on the front end myself. Looks better
My favorite version of the Silverado so far!

I can completely understand that. And the great thing about these trucks are they are easy and cheap to work on
2007 classic single cab 1500 4wd 5.3 V8 right cat eye right here 💯💯 and yeah the head lights do make them look pissed off haha
I just bought a 06 5.3 with 4x4 crew cab and 5.5’ bed for 3,500 love my rusty bucket 😊
I knew my dream truck existed

That’s pretty amazing. I’ve seen some 90s (maybe late 80s) Blazers/S10s with a digital speedometer. I remember thinking that was pretty cool
I have a 6.0 2500 with a 5 speed manual works great I think it’s one of the best Chevy trucks ever made and I don’t think they will top it

Gilbert Morin honestly you can find a good reliable 5.3 vortec for pretty cheap in a junkyard
You could trade it in for a real truck.
Take to scrapyard for more HP

You have the last of the pre AFM , oil burners which GM turns a blind eye to, from what I read ..
0:17 Is it a crew cab
andystar4000video no crew cabs are bigger than extended cabs and have another set of actual doors
Is it useful though
your lift height?
It’s about 2.5” in the front and 1” in the back. This truck has a rough country leveling kit installed

How much are you going to sell the truck for
How much for the truck? How many miles?
This truck sits at 136k, and I believe I have it sold at this point
We will be bringing a 2014 High Country to the channel with some cool mods. Stay tuned!

I personally hate the digital climate control. I love the levers and dials more than anything else. Not a fan of it on my truck
Don't lie, I Know you're Crispy Cream, AKA Froggy Fresh.
I have a 2006 cateye with a train air horn its loud
U still have it ?
Unfortunately I don’t. I now have an 04 Duramax that is very similar
Dustin T v6 ? I want to buy one how is it better ?
You can get a 04 to 06 Silverado for 6 to 9 thousand where I live
Digital climate control...too funny..My first car, a 1984 Nissan 300ZX had it too..as did my moms 1984 Cadillac Deville..Nothing new!!

20 last about 2 days
