Tokwe Chases After Bubi! | The Other Elephants React to the Dramatic Moment

- Опубліковано 21 лип 2024
- The morning takes an unexpected turn! Tokwe and Bubi stand on some sand mounds, with youngsters Pisa, Timisa and Khanyisa with them. Pisa moves her trunk, showing that she’s feeling a bit unsure. While Adine is filming Pisa, something happens that causes Tokwe to start chasing after Bubi.
The three youngsters rapidly walk towards Bubi and Tokwe, but stop and wait for the other elephants to arrive. Tokwe’s daughter Limpopo and elephant bull Fishan come rushing over. Kumbura also arrives at a rapid pace, with older elephant cows Lundi and Setombe walking slightly slower. Setombe’s daughter Klaserie and Bubi’s son Zindoga are the last two to come rushing over. Once the elephants are together, they walk towards Tokwe and Bubi.
The carers can’t help but laugh at Mambo, who forages in the distance and does not notice that everyone has left him behind.
Tokwe and Bubi stand a short distance away from each other, the chase over but the situation not yet resolved. Lundi, Fishan and most of the youngsters walk over to Tokwe. It seems like Zindoga might go with them, but he walks over to his mother. Setombe and Klaserie also walk over to Bubi.
After first standing near Tokwe, Fishan goes to stand between the two groups, and then walks over to Bubi. Fishan is close to both Tokwe and Bubi. Carer Owen explains that Fishan always tries to get to the bottom of a problem and figure out what’s going on.
Lundi also moves from Tokwe’s side and goes over to Bubi. Adine explains that she’s trying to keep the peace between Tokwe and Bubi. As Lundi walks over to Bubi, the rest of the youngsters follow her. The elephants all stand near Bubi for a while, then some move back to Tokwe again. Owen explains that the elephants are trying to figure out what’s going on.
Owen says that Tokwe chased Bubi because Bubi did something to anger or upset her. Though Adine and the carers did not see anything happening between Tokwe and Bubi at the sand mounds, it is possible that something happened between the two earlier.
Eventually, the elephants start spreading out between Tokwe and Bubi, and Bubi even starts walking away from the spot she has been standing in. Some of the younger elephants start moving on to other things. The problem seems to be solved. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

Fish has such a good stabilizing influence on the herd. Good bull.

The human heart has an electromagnetic field that is measurably at least as big as a football pitch. The rhythm of your heartbeat affects the heartbeats of all those nearby. So we owe it to ourselves & others to project a calm, steady, rhythm.
It seems that elephants are wiser than humans, getting over their differences quickly, and moving on to other things. Have a blessed day.
I love Fishan 🐘he is the one who likes to see everyone in the Herd happy and getting on well doesn't he 💙
Limpopo loves Adine so much. She always has to check on her.
I agree the way Pisa was acting she knew something was up. Most of the younger elephants 🐘🐘 begin running after Tokwe and Bubi. Fishan the peace maker stands between the two. This video had me on the edge of my seat. So glad it got resolved. Thank you Adine for this nail biting video.❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️
I have no doubts the elephants are telepathic, and can predict what event is on the horizon.

Pisa knew something was up with Tokwe and Bubi. I love Fishan stepping in. He is a good bull.
I, too, wondered if Pisa was aware of something going sideways.
Pisa was feeling jittery which is most unusual for this confident little cow especially when best friend Timisa is close by She has perceived the tension between Tokwe and Bubi
I quite agree that Bubi must have provoked Tokwe regarding little miss Sunshine and Tokwe not wanting to give ground after all she is the matriarch Luckily we have wonderful gentleman Fishan to act as mediator 🐘🥰 Thanks for sharing this amazing video !

I’m speechless. Family discord brings an immediate response and resolution. We have so much to learn from these beings with all this accumulated experience passed down the generations.
The group moves to and fro between Tokwe and Bubi- getting both sides of the story. Mambo is off fishing😜
💯✊
Mambo is a real character! :)
Fishan is such a sweetheart. He's also much more sociable than a typical bull 🐘.
Elephants are so aware of one another and their surroundings. They have so much empathy and concern for one another. It is so fascinating to watch them interacting with one another. It would be amazing to know what is on their mind and what they are saying.
I wonder if Tokwe and Bubi were 'having words' in a range outside human hearing and had an argument. Khanyisa and Timisa were too young to understand, but Pisa could tell they were disagreeing and got nervous. It's an interesting thought.
Finalmente Pisa ha interagito...solitamente non sembra molto coinvolta,ma stavolta da animo sensibile aveva capito tutto... Pisa è bellissima ,ha un bel viso!
I love seeing the herd talk it out. I think there's a lot more communication between the elephants than we realize.
So agree.
Fishan, the wise peacemaker!
It is said that elephants never forget.... I was so taken by this video🤔 that I went back to the one from the other day where Khanyisa was digging that hole and Bubi was watching her. When Tokwe approached and reached out her trunk to Bubi, Bubi didn't return the gesture nor did she step far enough away nor did she turn around out of respect. And Tokwe extended her trunk a second time. Bubi looked kind of miffed. Sometimes, you gotta see things quite a few times as the perception might change. With Tokwe being the Matriarch, she may have felt this as being disrespectful and decided to wait until another opportunity to make her point. And another family member postulated that maybe Tokwe remembered Bubi's son Zindoga trying to get too cheeky with her daughter Pisa in that episode where he tried to mount her. The way they communicate with one another is fascinating and little Khanyisa taking it all in stride.
Fascinating how close this adopted herd has become. They are their Herd for sure.
Wow! They all look a bit shaken after the thing was (apparently) over.
Pisa knew there was something seething between Tokwe and Bubi.
I’m glad they calmed down in a very short time.
Thanks for sharing, Herd friends. It’s pretty enlightening to watch all that family dynamics taking place. 💞🐘💞
Tokwe and Bubi, my favourite two girls are so different from one another. I'm so glad they are able to resolve any misunderstanding between them. Every girl needs a gentleman like Fish. 🥰 Such powerful and yet, so thoughtful animals. Love to you all from Mexico. 🇲🇽💚🐘🐘
I’ve never noticed how pretty Pisa is
Limpopo seems so sensitive and responsive. She was first on the scene when Mambo left Khanyisa alone another time. And here she is again responding among the first. You have to be courageous to be one of the first. And then she checks on the scene and the humans. She is a very brave, sensitive elephant.💗
Perhaps Bubi and Tokwe were having words with one another, and while the humans could not hear the conversation, Pisa surely did. Fascinating behavior. I’m wondering if the recent discord amongst the bulls is affecting the females of the herd as well. Thank you for sharing and for caring for these lovely animals.
That's exactly what I thought like pisa knew something was up between the two

Humans hold on 2 issues for months.
I always like to hear the Asian elephants communicate so I am so interested in hearing the African elephants communicate outside of the trumpet or rumble. This is so interesting!!!
Both African and Asian phants trumpet and rumble. The Asian phants just have the extra ability to squeak as well. The squeaks are really just softer trumpets, they're both sounds made by blowing air through their trunks. The African phants don't squeak I guess because they're louder and more boisterous and don't do softer trumpet blows. I'm guessing that's what it is anyway. The Asians are the mellower of the 2 is what I've always read and heard. This is just a wild guess but maybe they both have slightly different trunk structure too, which makes air flowing through each one sound a bit different. Both types of phants overall do have some different body structures.
@@alvexok5523 I'm aware of the body structure... the rumbles... the trumpets... the obvious and not so obvious differences between the two... however they communicate somewhat differently and Asian elephants seem to be a tad but more vocal at least outside of the rumbles and trumpets. Neither are better than the other I LOVE them BOTH! I just find it intriguing the differences communication wise. I always wonder if they were around one side of they could understand one another somewhat.
Catlin O'Connell- Rodwell has done phenomenal research on the communication of Elephants mostly our beloved African Elephants. She's spent some time with the Asian but not much. Even after following some of her research I don't think I've ever heard this type of communication from them before. Again... it's so intriguing. I also wish there was more research done on the Borneo Pygmy Elephant.... They're absolutely adorable!
But I digress. Have a blissful day!
Wow. I have often asked about the differences in the squeaky sounds made by Asian Elle’s vs those much lower frequency sounds made by African Elle’s and no one ever responded or knew what I was talking about. Thanks for eliciting some conversation about this topic. I also find it interesting that the languages used by Asian humans is a higher pitched language than say Afrikaans or English. Afrikaans being more guttural to my ears and Asian being higher pitched. I wonder if there are connections but maybe I’m crazy. I am probably using the wrong words to describe their sounds too, I am tone deaf to music and don’t know music language.
@@thetrinitee Yes it would be interesting to know about the pygmy elephants
@@thetrinitee No one said one was better than the other....just different.
Wow. That happened so fast. The caretakers would always have to be alert or they might suffer injury by being crushed between 2 elephants or trampled on. It was good to see Fishan so stable on his leg and how he managed the situation.
Si si bravissimo Fishan e Lundi
Well, that was interesting! Typical Mambo, BTW! I did see Tokwe giving Bubi the “eye” at the beginning of the video; I could feel something was up.
I had to go back and rewatch and, yes, I saw said eye being given 🤨😊
Timi has been so affectionate lately. ❤
Dear Fishan--the elder statesman. And Mambo, just like a teenage boy...tunes everything out. I remember when he was supposed to be minding Kanyisha, but he wandered off and climbed a hill to a plateau, leaving the little one alone. Baby K. made one little call and the herd came running...except Mambo. He was very close by, but oblivious!
Mambo deve maturare è un ragazzone un po' superficiale....!
I have never heard elephants grunt and vocalize like that before. They always amaze me. Such beautiful and intelligent creatures. Us humans should learn from them. 💕
Humans are highly intelligent beings with much empathy and love. You must be referring to NARCISSISTS/SOCIOPATHS/PSYCHOPATHS. They appear to be human in human form, but they're far from it. No Empathy, No Remorse, No CONSCIENCE. Non-human. That's LOGIC

That was an exciting episode of Jabulani Herd. Great minute by minute reporting by Adine. ‘Problem seems to be solved’! 😂😂♥️🐘🐘🐘🐘🌈 A lot of action scenes in this episode!
Wow! Fascinating segment. This is a young herd & seems to be working at solving conflicts without additional fear of humans. Exciting!!!!! Good goin’ guys!
After watching it again, I wonder if there was tension over Khanysia, the two alo-mothers perhaps were arguing over who was in charge of the little one. Towkwe is more dominant, and it often seems Bubi hangs back, a little jealous, that Towke is monopolizing Khanysia. Pisa may have picked up on the tension, and was aware that Towkwe was going to lash out at Bubi.
My unverified hypothesis lol!
This video is definitely different from the others in that we get to see a disagreement between Tokwe and Bubi and I know from all the clips I’ve watched it’s not something we see often but whatever happened between them I’m glad they figured it out and the rest of the family tried to bring them together again especially Lundi and Fishan acting as mediators. It was a little worrying to watch Tokwe rush at Bubi to begin with I guess that’s my soft spot for Bubi coming out yet I am relieved that nobody was hurt and in the end everything ended well with the herd coming together. It really amazes me how similar elephants family dynamics can be to our own they can bond and enjoy time together while also having arguments/disagreements just like we do. Despite the little bit of tension I had to laugh at Mambo the Lone Ranger over there totally absorbed in eating and not even realizing he’s by himself he always makes me smile with his antics and certainly marches to the beat of his own drum.😅😅Thank you for sharing with us.🐘🐘❤️❤️☀️☀️
Mambo gives me life with his unconcerned self. He lets the women figure out their own stuff. As long as he can eat that's their business not his.😂😂😂😂

Incredible, they all went to Tokwe to hear her side of it, then they all went to Bubi to hear her side of it, apparently apologies were exchanged and then all was good and peace and harmony was restored.
I wish all elephants could be like these elephants. There is so many
animales that get mistreated that If I could help them I would.
It's like Pisa was saying in elephant lingo " Hey Mom, what's going on with you and Bubi?" 😉
If not for breaking his front right leg, Fishan may have become a good leader. They dynamics are great. They seem to be an extended family with aunts and uncles and mothers and their children, with occasional conflicts. Each member plays a role, such as Mambo being the rebellious younger son. Wonderful to watch!!! 🥰
Fishan IS AN AMAZING leader, and it has nothing to do with his injury or leg. If you have watched him close from the very beginning you would know this. The Bulls as leaders don't just use their physical might, but their smarts, personality, strategy, compassion, and many other traits to be relied on within the HERD. Trust me, Fishan IS and HAS BEEN a great leader and always will be, if anything, the injury to his leg only reminded others of that very fact. The ways you might not expect him to "lead" he has proven a steadfast support on, especially when it comes to the kids. They know he is there for them in many situations and in only ways he can be, and for that, Fishan is one of my favorite leaders too.
Mambo's role is he won't be bothered or concern himself in the women's business. Unless it's danger from the outside and he can join in the fight. He rather mind his business and eat.😂😂

What a turn it was. I wonder if the scuffle had anything to do with little Khanyis🐘cause as of late Tokwe has been paying an exceptional amount of attention on our little princess. Maybe there was just a little jealousy there. Bubi is usually very tentatitive and she has come to adore the baby. But, whatever it was the important players and mediators ran to the scene like Fishan and soon Bubi approached Tokwe and we couldn't see that far, but maybe she placed her trunk on Tokwe or showed her an act of submission and soon all was well. Look at how Meisekind darted out with the rest of them!!!! Great video! Thanks Adine and Carers!🙋
