I like how he did the kind of harmonies you'd hear in like an English folk song or something from the 60s, which you don't hear too often. It would be refreshing to see that return in modern music, but unfortunately it was sung by what I can only assume is a howling walrus.
I did this in middle school in like 7th grade. Except I didn’t write the song, I went out of my way to try and learn a country love song, even though I absolutely despise country music with everything in me. Thankfully one of my friends stopped me before I actually crossed the point of no return and sent a video of it to her. Friends really are there for you when you need them most.
The titles never fail to make me click. Congrats not many people have mastered the ability of such brilliant titles, short and to the point. *chefs kiss*
Sad thing is: There was actual production behind this creepy ass song. Like this man sat down and edited this thing, cleaned the vocals up after recording, and put effort behind making this creepy ass song of his into an actual thing and did not once think, "Yeah, I am being a weirdo."
there was even like bass and higher acapella at some points to emphasize. idk if he got someone else to sing that part or if he did it himself but damn 😭
Adding things to you saying words, does not production make. Agreed, on the point that there were too many levels to go through, for this to have ever left someone's brain. But there was no actual production behind this. Even a bedroom producer would come up with a better sounding mix than that. This is what happens when you give the artist "Complete artistic freedom" Just kidding, but kinda not. Love you!
The fact that this man claims he is married while also casually asking his wife to flirt with another women using a cheaply made music video is amazing
I love that it also implies he thinks his song would cause her to uncontrollably destroy his relationship with his (alleged) wife/kids to be with him because it's JUST THAT GOOD.
Your sarcasm is gold 😂 I once had an ex satanist/born again Christian serenade me to his own version of some death metal tune he wrote on a guitar..complete with Cookie Monster voice over during the chorus of course 😂 What a charmer! Next day I heard him yelling my name while he stormed down my street at 10pm at night, not scaring me or the neighbours at all, demanding I come down and explain myself as to why I was talking to his best male buddy that day?? I mean, who wouldn’t want to date that man?
About the whole "What you could do to my wife, my kids, my comfortable life" thing... I think he was talking about the emotional damage it would do to his family if he left them for her. "Family" in quotes, of course.
He's saying that he's willing to hand over the reigns of his whole life to her as long as they get to be together. Therefore he ends up being an extension of her will, a puppet to do her bidding with disregard to whatever else he built up in his life
I was gonna say I speak down horrendous-ese: homie was saying that only she knows the extent of the emotional damage she could put his wife and children through if she willed it to be.
I respect Charlie for calling out creepy weirdos consistently since I found him in like 2015 or whatever. he just does it more and more often and more articulately every time and it's hilarious content to boot. what a king.
I'd interpret the whole "only you know what you could do to my wife" part as, if Lauren wanted to she could put his wife thru alot of pain because this guy is willing to sacrifice his wife his children and comfortable life for her and its only Lauren's will that's keeping guys family together..
So either this guy somehow actually has a wife and kids that he is willing to emotionally scar or he genuinely believes that saying he's willing to cheat and abandon his family on a whim somehow makes him attractive. Fucking baffling.
Oh please, as soon as I turned 18 all my dads friends were asking me to find them broke college pussy in exchange for paying their tuition. I am not surprised in the least

The funny thing is that Radiohead's "Creep" is the exact same premise. It's about the lead singer falling in love with a girl he saw on the bus without ever talking to her. But, at least he recognizes that he's a creep.
The difference is Creep is a good song with good musicianship, and I don’t suppose Thom Yorke was harassing this woman, especially not like today with the prevalence of social media and being able to just DM any randomer from around the world. Fellas, gents, lads. If you ever see a woman that is so beautiful, so drop dead gorgeous that you just *have* to reach out to her and confess your love, I want you to write everything out, and give it a good 24 hours to ruminate. When you come back to whatever monstrosity you've created, imagine sending it to a normal, regular, average looking woman. Do you think she'd find what you wrote sweet and endearing? Or do you think she would immediately be suspicious because that's the creepiest shit ever and immediately smacks of a stalker? Because that is how these beautiful gorgeous women are going to take it too. They're people, they're fucking human beings. These guys seem to think women like this will fall in love with you just for metaphorically jangling a set of keys in front of them. It's infantilising and gross
Imma be completely honest, I've been making music for almost five years, and it sickens me to say that this guy has actually decent voice, while I'm over here sounding like two wild foxes mating.
I thought it was me in the wrong for thinking he didn't sound that bad. Yeah it weird creepy sending it to a stranger and the lyrics but if it was to someone with a connection and proper lyrics, women would total be into it
@@kydsofkush No, he was singing, and kinda well like the OP said. Nothing wrong with admitting that. The guy is delusional. But the public shaming of him by this Egirl is pretty egregious imo.
I think Charlie is a bit too quick to assume Alan is an unmarried, childless, incel. There are tons of pathetic, lonely, bored or dissatisfied men living with wives, girlfriends, and children. Additionally, for every pathetic, creepy, loser guy out there, there is a similar woman. Sometimes these people find each other and get married and procreate.
Eh it’s pretty dumb to assume that because these pathetic, lonely, bored and dissatisfied men are married then their wife is probably similar. Often women are married to creepy wierd guys without realising it due to the guy acting “normal” to her face but doing degenerate shit like this behind her back, or the wife only realises it when it’s too late. Not saying there are no creepy women out there (although tbh there seem to be a lot more guys out there like this dude than there are girls), just saying that usually creepy men and women don’t end up with each other but instead they end up with an innocent person that they victimise lmfao.
@Chill nig*a they can very well be scary. There was this case of that stalker woman that in the end killed "her" man because he wanted to go away with hid girlfriend. She even (maybe accidentally) made pictures before and during the killing so the whole thing was documented for the police. So yeah the potential for creeps and dangerous people is there no matter the gender. Just that men are statistically way more likely to act in such horrible ways.
When Charlie criticizes your method of flirting, you know you've made a colossal mistake that has consequences which will resound throughout all of human history.
There was something I always hated about the song "Hey There, Delilah" when it came out while I was in high school. Same era as Twilight. I now realize that they spawned an entire generation of pale, creepy nice guys who think stalking = romance.
@@cleobinx wait is that true. I never know the background of that song. When my girlfriend (now ex) moved to Texas from Hanoi I used to blast that song all days.

Just wanted to say thank you for your brutal honesty about the videos! You are entertaining and thought provoking. I'm 60 years old and always look forward to your videos.
love the way the guy words it like "only you know what you could do..." like it was her responsibility or fault instead of him for being fucking unfaithful to his wife and family. making himself the victim, really tells a lot about how much character and backbone he has
yeeep, even the bit where hes like "I've never had a song written about me but im sure you get that all the time" its like he's trying to guilt her for being hot
It’s honestly sick how common the mindset that guys have of “the evil seductress with power over man” that is woman is. And it’s so often combined with a sort of mental gymnastics where they feel like they need to “own” and “conquer” the woman in order to “overcome their insecurity.”
Dude's just trying to set himself up as the victim of this woman (really an idea of her) through that whole vocal assault of a song. He's not responsible and completely in control of his actions, actually he's a vulnerable soft songwriter and the succubus who didn't know he existed is really the mastermind😒.
I can't believe this didn't work, if spilling out your heart in a masterfully woven song doesn't get you the girl then what the hell will the rest of us do?
@@d11asian Yes there are some weird men out there, but its annoying when I'm just existing as a guy then I see this shit, yes it's not directly targeted at me but I feel like I'm going to be stereotyped this way just for existing in the public which we can all admit is stupid. I've seen some weird guys in the town I live in, guys have catcalled my sisters (sick fucks) but that doesn't mean every man or even most men do that shit.
The origin of the song "Hey There, Delilah" isn't too far off from this story. The writer met Delilah and thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He said, "I've already written a song about you" as a pickup line. It failed. He decided to actually write a song. He did it with the mindset of, " If I was with this girl, what would I want to tell her?" The overwhelming popularity of the song made Delilah feel guilty about not wanting to be with him. They never got together.
@@NC-247 Because it's a based on a girl who actively rejected him, and name drops her SPECIFICALLY. Writing about rejection in general or wanting a girlfriend is fine, singling out one person and making a public song as if you were dating her is creepy as hell. Just like it'd be creepy for a girl to find out a guy she rejected published a novel about his fantasy world where they got married and were living together. That's unhealthy obsessive behaviour. Famous songs about love are usually either about people they're actually involved with or, if the love is unrequited, aren't name dropping the person they were rejected by and just talk about the pain of not being loved back. You don't publish delusional fantasy romance about a real individual for the whole world to see.
I honestly love ur videos touching on men like this, with a weird desperation/entitlement towards women- because you provide input from a male standpoint. Like theres certain things I as a woman might have brushed over but because you live life through the lens of a man you really dig deep into the psyche.
I did something similar to that like 5 years ago. I drew a girl that I matched with on Tinder. For the record I just thought one of her images was really good and wanted to reference the pose either way, but yeah she actually really liked it and added me on SC but neither of us really talked again after that. I unfriended her after awhile because I just thought it was weird I had access to her SC stories when I didn't really know her at all.
That's not too weird. I have some friends who are good at art and use images as references, etc... idk how convo. started about drawing her or not which might have been weird (some people ask and some don't) So, that can be iffy but she was the one who added you on SC. So, at that point it's consensual for either friendzone or potential relationship lukewarm zone. note: this does not mean draw pictures of random girls and dm them the end product or draw someone in a creepy or objectification pose. But I find a lot of art students sketch random people even without consent and it's considered socially acceptable. Music, poems, writing, and songs are a bit different than art though where the topic and context is extremely important based on social acceptability. Writing a book inspired by someone you saw is different say you are writing a love novel and love the physical attributes of a stranger so you base off a character of that person {Note: you will never share that novel with the stranger. You are only taking inspiration. But this is a different context.}
See that's no where near as bad. For one , ya'll are on a dating website, and two , im sure you didnt ramble on about your wife and kids lmao. Hope you kept up the art :)
you didnt do anything weird. i think most people would gladly accept art from a stranger as long as it isnt a weird reference and the person doesnt talk about weird stuff. as AFAB and an artist myself i totally get it when you find that photo that makes you feel inspired to draw. songs and poems are more weird cause they feel more personal to the person you're creating it for so not recommended to strangers.

The funny thing is that Radiohead's "Creep" is the exact same premise. It's about the lead singer falling in love with a girl he saw on the bus without ever talking to her. But, at least he recognizes that he's a creep.

Sometimes these people find each other and get married and procreate.
who ever said that there are no creepy women ?
What an incel thing to say. Nobody ever said that there’s no such thing as a woman who’s creepy.
@Chill nig*a "creepy women aren't scary" wtf do you think the word creepy means
@Chill nig*a they can very well be scary. There was this case of that stalker woman that in the end killed "her" man because he wanted to go away with hid girlfriend. She even (maybe accidentally) made pictures before and during the killing so the whole thing was documented for the police. Just that men are statistically way more likely to act in such horrible ways.

The fact he wrote a song for a complete stranger and not his WIFE has me speechless
Charlies sarcasm will never cease to be amazing
I did something similar to that like 5 years ago. I drew a girl that I matched with on Tinder. For the record I just thought one of her images was really good and wanted to reference the pose either way, but yeah she actually really liked it and added me on SC but neither of us really talked again after that. I unfriended her after awhile because I just thought it was weird I had access to her SC stories when I didn't really know her at all.
That's not too weird. I have some friends who are good at art and use images as references, etc... idk how convo. started about drawing her or not which might have been weird (some people ask and some don't) So, that can be iffy but she was the one who added you on SC. So, at that point it's consensual for either friendzone or potential relationship lukewarm zone. note: this does not mean draw pictures of random girls and dm them the end product or draw someone in a creepy or objectification pose. But I find a lot of art students sketch random people even without consent and it's considered socially acceptable.
Music, poems, writing, and songs are a bit different than art though where the topic and context is extremely important based on social acceptability. Writing a book inspired by someone you saw is different say you are writing a love novel and love the physical attributes of a stranger so you base off a character of that person {Note: you will never share that novel with the stranger. You are only taking inspiration. But this is a different context.}
That's not weird at all, sir.
