The lighting is just much better in definitive edition, although that flying scene and weather effects are something else in the modder version. Imagine combining the two.
I think you can make a case for either one. The water, clouds, and weather effect look fantastic on the mod, many times better than the remaster. The reflections are also impressive, but they're probably quite expensive even if they are only screen space and not raytraced. The roads in the rain are also very excessive in their reflectivity, like your average GTA V mod. The colors look quite muted in the mod as well compared to the remaster, and also appear way too dark in the new cloudy weather. The saturation is definitely a matter of taste and the remaster's dark lighting is very problematic as well, but I find myself preferring Rockstar's version. The fog is also way to harsh for my liking, but I get that most GTA fans disagree. I would like it to be a bit more gradual than it is now and show a farther area. As it is now it is still very obvious that it is there for culling purposes instead of looking more natural. The motion blur seems way better in the remaster, even if it is less immersive, the mod's is very impractical in every way in addition to the janky wobbling effect. My opinion is that Definitive Edition is much more playable and authentic, but the mod is more impressive, especially in video form.

Written: December 31, 2021 I think DE is good. I mean yea the mod is more realistic but for a modern GTA mobile game in UE4, DE looks infinitely better than the original trilogy on mobile. Remember everyone, DE is using the mobile framework hence it’s made for mobile first and consoles second(but DE still could’ve been better for mobile too as even DE is weak vs actual PS4 games like Alien isolation, Xcom 2 or Divinity 2 mobile has) Happy New Year
Honestly the draw distance, lack of popping in models and lighting is really well done in the definitive edition but it seemed like they skipped out on so much. The clouds and reflections specifically of the mod destroyed definitive edition.
I'm not saying the modder isint skilled or anything it takes a insane amount of effort and most importantly dedication to make something like this , but optimising that for consumer needs is not easy without a compromise in visual quality( altleast currently). And companies will aim at biggest market they can get and most of us have average PC. That's why the game companies arent making hyper realistic games even though engines like unreal can handle them even though it takes much more dollars to make one it's of no use ony like few can run them so only few will buy them . I hope we will get it in the future as technology like dlss are improving

I think Rockstar Games doesn't want the old vibes of the game (nostalgia) to vanish by adding a lot of details into the game other than the mild graphical improvements of it, thus the GTA SA DE looks like that from what it is right now. It doesn't mimic some games like the GTA IV and/or V because it is not GTA IV and/or V.

And this guy is using the older version of de, because the draw distance was fixed and fog was added In the newer version.
i was using the newer version...but forgot to turn on the ground haze. my bad
@@BlackPot ahhhh lol
@@adityavidyarthi1635 you are absolutely correct freind making game oversaturated doesn't mean its better
remember consoles have limited specs and cant run this type of stuff

I think DE is good. I mean yea the mod is more realistic but for a modern GTA mobile game in UE4, DE looks infinitely better than the original trilogy on mobile.
Remember everyone, DE is using the mobile framework hence it’s made for mobile first and consoles second(but DE still could’ve been better for mobile too as even DE is weak vs actual PS4 games like Alien isolation, Xcom 2 or Divinity 2 mobile has)
Happy New Year
3:02 relax man, it's just AWESOME trick jumps 👌👌👌👌👌
For me the problem with mods Is that they arent as accessible, for the remastered You Just buy It and It Is done, with mods there are many bugs, crashes and various other things, also It Is only on pc
@@milkyman6637 a price to pay to not break keyboards While modding, i am preetty dumb so it was hard for me, i didn't even get a good result lol, i am gonna Stick to de
@@criskii mannn I got so tired of crashes . One of the main thing I like about the de. No matter what I couldn’t play the original for longer than 30 minutes without some kinda crash.
Grove Street Games: We made a remaster of your favourite game which includes better graphics and everything.
Modder: I'm 4 parallel universes ahead of you
They did add height haze, you should have turned it on
1:37-1:54 yoo this looks better than gta v
There is a new update were you can enable fog in the game its called "ground haze"
Does not do anything for clouds.
@@blackstallion7927 did i ask
I just said there was an update that you can enable fog
Flying is trash without clouds.
@@blackstallion7927 then dont fly

@@SudariDaM There's some mission that require you to fly.
I think Rockstar Games doesn't want the old vibes of the game (nostalgia) to vanish by adding a lot of details into the game other than the mild graphical improvements of it, thus the GTA SA DE looks like that from what it is right now. It doesn't mimic some games like the GTA IV and/or V because it is not GTA IV and/or V.
ok, now put mods that visually improve the trilogy definitive edition.
And use its most recent version because this comparison is bad. AND ALL TO THE MAXIMUM (graphic settings)
i'll do it after some time...let's give modders some time to bring some awesome mods on the definitive edition
When you think the game to your right looks better than to your left. But then it still needs a optimization.
4:53 LMAO
3:26 It's Hans Jerkev! He was in a flying car the whole time!
Under water better in DE
Buildings also more detailed in DE
Skybox is better in mod
Water textures are better in mod
Car reflection and shadows better in DE
Graphics mod seems to bright !! That's it's biggest issue
But flying is same as DE if u enable clouds and fog
Vegetation also better in DE
They have perma 60 fps and with mod have 30...They do this mod for all pc's,not only for ultra.
2:50 DE is better
I dunno why, but sunny weather looks better to me in the original version, also I can say about pictures at 6 am and 12 am. Night looks perfect in the modded version especially in rainy weather. I think if you combine two these versions, it’d be the greatest one ☝🏻
The definitive is way better tbh,2:40 the mode have alot bugs and the tree keep appear and diseppear
It is just me or the car looks like is floating in the middle of the road
i love the fogless map, the point of more powerfull consoles is that you can show a more extense map without popping
Yeah, I find it really weird that people actually complain about being able to see the whole map from a PS2 era game and actually want to have limits. Do these same people also like invisible walls?
Bro i thought they fixed the fog issues.
They fixed the fog you just have to enable it in the settings
GTA SA: Definitive sandstorm weather looks like a hollywood "Mexico" effect
GTA 4 IS A GOOD GAME
Indeed
Mobile game developers vs Modders. No contest, modders pull off some next level work.
I guess definitive edition is trying to keep its gta san Andreas ascetics (cloud images, graphics, etc...) whilst trying to update it looks to make it look less pixelated
