Love how much personality is in that unmasked Tony Stark head, the expression sold me on making it the default comic Tony in my display. Great review, Wade! Here’s hoping we can start getting those Unparalleled Caps in ASAP!
It wouldn't hurt if it came with an alternate classic Iron Man helmet sculpt (model IV) . I understand this is a homage to the Toy Biz version, however not even that figure had a helmet with the pronounced "horns" and double mouth slit (a look characteristic of model III). This one does. I hoped I could put the helmet head of the AI Iron Man in it. But the yellow is too different.
Something funny about the backdrop is that not even Marvel Legends' own manufacturers seemed to realize that the diorama that came with the Series 1 Iron Man was one half of a satellite. The panels with the Stark logo are a solar array, not a sign.
@@haydentcem Again, it's not a sign. Grab the diorama, push it against a mirror and you'll clearly see it's a satellite. Like I already said, the "sign" is a solar array.
@@separate_entity001 Again, it's not. It's one half of a satellite. Just grab the base and press it against a mirror and you'll see it as clear as day.
Honestly man, how are you so good with the photography? Blows me away at the end of every review. The Iron Man figures in this line have been consistently solid for a good while now, and I really like how they captured the colour scheme of that original figure with this one. Personally though ever since I got the 80 Years version I haven't felt the need to get another, that one just hit my mind's eye of the character and I've been trying to stick with single versions for each character in my Legends collection anyway. Nice timing with this review too, I just sold a load of Marvel Legends on eBay and went to my local comic shop with the cash to see what they had, found the Doctor Strange 2 wave and they had two rows stacked of the new Baron Zemo, he looks amazing alongside the 20th Anniversary Cap.
This is a great figure of Ironman, but they forgot one thing, the lines on the helmet also should extend to half way down the chest, stopping halfway above the arc reactor.
I really hope Hasbro re-releases/remake the classic Neon Armor that came out with the first retro Marvel Heroes line. That suit definitely needs an upgrade and will complete the Hall of Armor.
Do you think that Hasbro will continue making updated versions of the original figures even after Toad? I'd love to get "definitive 1/12 scale" versions of the rest of the Avengers and the Midnight Sons.
I’ve had a crazy idea what if you combined parts and pieces from all classics iron man figures together like the AI iron man red parts with the yellow parts from the 20th anniversary along with both helmets heads from the 80th and the helmet from the 20th along with the canon as well as all the Tony stark heads that come with them you put all of those pieces together to make the ultimate classic iron man that’s rivals even the Mafex figure
Which Iron Man figure has the best face sculpt of Tony, wade what you think? I think it's 80th anniversary Iron Man's one cuz it's highly detailed and clean😋
It’s too bad DC Universe Classics doesn’t get the same love (as the DC counterpart) that Legends does. I get they were not as innovative as Toybiz, but they had some awesome sculpts and did the better job of giving collectors the most ‘classic’ versions of DC characters. I mean we just recently got a true definitive/classic version of Spider-Man (with the Retro version). Hasbro came close with Pizza Spidey but it was far from the classic look.
That’s probably where they got the look 70’s was when Charles Bronson was at its peak and just like Logan in some comics kinda made him look like Clint Eastwood check out Valley O death I think it’s #67 issue
"some people say it looks like Charles Bronson" Nah, looks more Burt Reynolds to me. As for updating the 80th Thor, they could give us like a angry shouting head, more hands and a better Mjolnir, because the one that came with the 80th Thor is lame. And not because its smaller, thats comic accurate, the wrist strap is bad. Rather get like a different strap you can swap out for flight poses or hanging down as he holds it. A spinning Mjolnir effect would be cool. And as I say that I'm reminded of the "Ragnarok" Cyborg Clone they are putting out that is just 80th Thor with an alternate cyber damaged head and said spinning Mjolnir. So I guess this has been kind of a mostly pointless comment.
Tell the truth I bought this figure for the Charles Bronson looking head. And I bought it during the Hasbro sale so I got it for $20. I have an entire 'Hall of Armor' as I have been collecting for 28 years! I say that 'Loyal Stark Cousins' are in the other suits mostly. Although I have a British style suit that I say is piloted by British Inventor George Wells, as a tribute to H.G. Wells, the co-founder of Science Fiction. Anyway, I have made a 'Paul Kersey' with the head and a spare Luis body. In 28 years, over 3100 total figures, I have less than a dozen 'Civilian' figures. A few are close, but still fight, so they don't count. Jimmy Olsen Gabrielle Autolycus Willow and Tara (powerful Wicca) Alfred Pennyworth Commissioner Gordon Etc.....
Another great MARVEL LEGENDS comic Ironman from Hasbro and while I like because it does has some Steve Ditko vibes, I'm still happy with the 80 years, AI, Stealth, Silver Centurion, and Modular Ironman, But great review Wade.
When did it ever feel like hasbro was trying to get away from marvel legends? I've been collecting since they acquired the line and they've non stop been pumping them out lol
@@UnparalleledUniverse i think they just saw the success of like the star wars 3.5 and wanted to go in that lane but I get what you were saying now I completely spaced out the MU stuff
Great review, sir. As I was watching this I had a thought for a killer Has lab. A Build-an-Iron Man set. Include 3 base bucks and a hella ton of armor pieces that clasp onto and around the buck. Include hands, heads, helmets, shoulder pads, boot fittings, everything with multiple color options for. $250-$300 and you can build every iron man you've ever dreamed of - comic, mcu, cartoon, whatever. And it should include some 1/12 scale tables and a display stand that lets you display your half built armor like its under construction.
WE DESERVE A.) PINLESS JOINTS B.) MUCH WIDER SHOULDER TO CHEST MOVEMENT JUST LIKE THE REVOLTECH, C.) LONGER MOTION FOR NECK, D.) NOT A STRAIGHT HIP TWIST (Curve the waist for a better look) ALSO, HOW ABOUT "BLOB" and "THE BUFFED SABRETOOTH FROM 90s" AS A "BUILD A FIGURE"? THAT WILL BE DOPE!!
You use kinda and nice a lot in the review of theis figure and the thing to actually cry about is the idea that you said good, nice packaging, and nice but what you did not say great until the last minute which makes it highly unbelievable that at the end of the day this figure is worth the higher price point they are asking for because I have watched A LOT of your videos and if there was anything that would stand out with this meh figure you would have said as much. Good review of a nice figure but pass.
Man Hasbro been killing with the Iron Man figs!!!
For real!
I rather have a comic book than the cardboard included, for the 'deluxe' price Hasbro is charging. Thanks and good review as always.
And the figure is not amazing too

Awesome review man!!!
Something they can do with the thor is give us a head that u can move around
True. Also, a bearded head would be really dope too.

That's always what I thought the display base was myself, but 12 year old me never knew for sure. I'm glad I wasn't crazy!
Actually it is a sign

Agree the backdrop wasn't necessary. Could have save a few bucks and drop the prices.
This is a great figure of Ironman, but they forgot one thing, the lines on the helmet also should extend to half way down the chest, stopping halfway above the arc reactor.
There's actually two lines on the chest, but they didn't get a paint wash
This would be nice for a regular release, the deluxe price for a cardboard and a cheap looking stand is not worth
I really hope Hasbro re-releases/remake the classic Neon Armor that came out with the first retro Marvel Heroes line. That suit definitely needs an upgrade and will complete the Hall of Armor.
Spider-Man classics and Fantastic Four classics would be nice!

I like this shade of yellow and the horned helmet. That’s how I remember Iron Man. Not sure why they couldn’t throw in mini comic book reprints.
Which Iron Man figure has the best face sculpt of Tony, wade what you think?

Only if Hasbro did the Steve Ditko torso design and not the more modern design of the Model 2, I would definitely cop this.

I don’t think so. I don’t think it would make sense to review Cap again haha
Yeah!
YEEEEEEAHH!!!!
I would like to see Thor tweaked to release the Eric Masterson version of Thor. With open sides and a new head, aswell as knees.
Modular iron man is all i need, but i might get this one.
Damn man it’s about time you started doing a few reviews lol 😂 about to watch the zemo review too sooo glad we finally got him !
I wonder if Hasbro saw the customs people were doing with the panel lining on the AI Ironman when they decided to do this version.
We need a new Wesley Snipes Blade 🤩
at that time SOTA TOYS was killing it with they street fighters figures
Oh hell yeah Sota was doing great stuff as well
I'm getting all of these 20th anniversary figs
looks as good as mezco and especially the mafex version for a quarter of the price
Honestly? That Tony headsculpt looks more like a young Stan Lee without the glasses.
Man I am liking what hasbro's been doing lately with these throwback classic marvel legends figures bro! 😊
we need a good renaissance Armor ironman.

Yo Timberland God came thru and Timberland God says: fuck that comic and fuck that reuse.
Can we get a iron man armor Pic with all the new legends iron man...like modular classic stealth silver centurian and all
I want to get it but I have the 80th anniversary one and I’m fine w that one but this one is 😍
Exactly! lol I have the 80th anniversary but I don’t know if I really need it. I’m okay with what I have but this one is a beauty.
Can you tell me where that cape for the 80 years Thor came from?
@harkercustoms on IG
this is a really clean figure but man that price
Where did you order yours from Wade? Been debating on getting this one. Pre-ordered the new modern Iron Man yesterday from Target.
Easily my favorite stark head

Probably an Animated Series Morph figure
A Build A Figure or deluxe, A-Bomb.
"I gotta get another to put on my wall!!!" Jesus wept, is any self-proclaimed collector ever gonna say that and NOT sound like a ball-less yutz?
Whooooaaaaa!!!!! I just think it looks cool in the box, not sure how that makes me sound like a ball-less Yutz
We need a House of M.. although the toybiz one still is rick solid
You’ve got Iron Man’s smoke effect on the wrong way, lmao!
The physics doesn’t make sense to have the smoke going forward and not backwards in motion.
why do i like the AI more. and does any tony stark head fit on it
👏👏👏👏
I’ll definitely buy 2 👍🏼 need it in my collection 😘
For sure man! Its going to look dope having these hanging on the wall
Dope dope

ANOTHER 80S version ironman............ We've only had like, 20x of this buck... Need I say more?

Hasbro will bend the knee to the people if there’s a lot of money to be made from the people.
Am I the only one that has issues with the legs with this fig

year later brought this for £16 lmao
