I’m buying farmland

------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s happening. I’m in the process of buying 6.74 acres of farmland in Upstate New York.
Why?
I believe we all need to step up and start buying the land in this country before Wall Street does (it’s alarming). I know buying undeveloped land sounds scary. So I’m going to become the case study in my own experiment of how you can turn even less than one acre into YOUR own money making business.
I have about 12 different ways I plan to make money off of the land… and I plan to do it as a GREENLY as possible. I want to be an example of protecting the environment while making great money at the same time. I don’t see many other people pursuing the same thing right now!
So get ready for the #farmpreneur content because it’s going to be informational, hysterical, money-making focused, and pro environment.
------------------------------------------------------------------
All of this is possible with my freelance writing income I have saved over the years. I documented everything I learned about running a business on Fiverr in my book

I now have a newsletter! I’ll be documenting the whole process here: view.flodesk.com/pages/64cd26c0e7271772c0fcd01a.
I am back!!! With alllll the land, ag, AI-based tips on how to make MONEY using your background, apartment, anything. Get ready!
I'm ready! Great to see you. Excited to see what you're doing
@@toniankelly thank you so much!
Your awesome. This new direction is soooooo right-on 🙂 I've seen videos of people getting into Herbalism, polycultures, edible forest gardens, water catchments, permaculture, restorative agriculture, etc. If you consult with such experts, you could set up a situation where - starting with 'from garden to kitchen' and 'kitchen to herbal products' at appropriate ecologically sustainable economies of scale, you could start building homesteads that include personnel like Cook-Nutritionists, Herbalists, Aromatherapists, Naturopaths; then villages with ecologically respectful artisanal so-called 'cottage industries' that trade with one another locally, and then townships that redesign society from the ground up using best practices from the entire span of human social evolution - from Gatherers, to a more Horticultural Agriculture (rather than industrial monoculture) - designed with human and ecological priorities rather than that of "money for money's sake power mongering industry gains".
@@AlexandraFasuloBizAre you familiar with Nutrilite farms?
Boss lady
Who else wants to be a farmpreneur?
Me but I wouldn’t know where to start. 😂
I can’t express how happy this makes me as a former copywriter & currently working on a permaculture farm. This video is the first I’ve ever commented on…thank you for the inspiration.
@@Jake-vd8os You may wanna start by studying permaculture…then figure out how you would most enjoy co-creating with nature. Good luck!
👋
oh sign me up baby!
That is the best idea . Start growing your own food if you can
First, that landscape looks great
It's my ideal landscape 🥺
Great to see you back. I have just started reading your book. Good luck with your farming endeavors!
Thank you! Hope you love the book
I have seriously dreamt for a while now about one day developing an "agrihood" community... so happy for you on this adventure!
And specifically in Upstate New York -- so gorgeous and the perfect place 👍👍

So so happy for you 👏👏 Love your vision ❤
Never heard of Alex before coming across this. Love the experimentation mindset. And yeah, that looks like decent land.
I love you. You are such an inspiration for women. Thank you
Hey, long long time! Good to see ya.
Congratulations, Alex you are a success, You inspire me alot
My brother did this a couple years ago with 10 acres. One of the first things we did is put up solar-powered security cameras on site since we had a lot of equipment that that we had to leave there. We just got done harvesting 180 lbs of honey yesterday and built a chicken coop a few weeks ago. It's a lot of work but really rewarding. Keeping weeds out of the garden has been a huge PITA. Definitely a marathon and not a sprint. I still go over to his place almost every weekend to help out.
So excited for you! Love this
you're epic! Can't wait to follow along! So inspired by you!
I love this!!!! You inspired me with your freelancing journey and now, I can't wait to see your journey with farmpreneurship. I have been feeling this calling to return to the earth and to homestead, so I am so excited to see your journey. Can't wait to see what you accomplish and to become a farmpreneur someday soon!!
Yay! Thank you!
Good luck on this new chapter! My bf has a ranch in California, and his family thought the same thing. They were successful lawyers, and they were like "We're smart. How card could this be?" It's actually a lot more challenging than they thought, and it gave them a new level of respect for farmers. There is a lot of wisdom related to agriculture that gets passed down from generation to generation. These two things might seem obvious, but make sure to 1) Build a fully functioning house before buying animals or planing crops and 2) You really need to be on your farm all the time. You can't outsource the work to a farmhand. Nothing will get done when you're not around. Anyway, with your determination and work ethic, I'm sure you'll figure it out.
Yes I’m moving my mom and stepdad to the land and looking at low maintenance crops - but more so focusing on the different revenue streams you’d might not consider. Like setting up a Twitch stream on our family
Parrot etc.
ALEX = go for it 100%. You have the money, the brains & the backbone. I will be very surprised if you aren't very successful. This is why I follow your channel. All the best.
Thank you so much ❤
Good luck, Alex! I bet this journey's gonna inspire a lot of people. I'm glad you're sharing it and hope it blooms beyond your wildest imaginings.

I’m soooooooooooooo excited to see you do this! Back in 94, I created the Women’s Environmental Leadership Conference at Hollins University & have been working in the field since. PLEASE include Hempcrete in your structures, hemp to heal soil quality, solar / wind / geothermal energy production AND water harvesting / storage in your plans. Congratulations and abundant blessings for continuing success in all you do 🎉🥰🎉
Thank you so much!
Congrats Alex,
Cannabis is great because the market is growing. Both for THC and CBD in pets for example.
Although, check the regulations in your State, and other States of Pet lovers (California for example).
By the way: I'm a freelance copywriter, and even as is not easy, I'm understanding the whole thing more and more. I hope my biz explodes, because I need too :)
Wish you a great Sunday
Nice and Good luck! Been there...done that 🙂
Congrats 👏 🎉🥳
Good luck on your next journey! It sounds like it’s going to be a fun time 👩🌾
That's really wonderful.. congratulations. You can tell you are happy about it in a holistic way.
I am so happy 😊
I’m eager to follow along for this new journey of yours, going to be super interesting! Especially the integration of technology into the farming..
And.. started reading ‘Freelance your way to Freedom’ today 🎉
THIS! This is what I've been dreaming of! Got the land but no idea how ro proceed from that! I'm watching!
Got you!
This is sooo interesting! Cant wait to see what you do with it! 😍
So excited for you! Love the idea of seeing you build and learn this thing in public.
I did an internship at a flower farm in college and it was soooo much fun. We turned some old colonial buildings into a B&B and educational center. Field trips for kids, learning opportunities for young adults, farmers' markets in cities... a million in one things you can do with your land. 😊
Check out Earthships if you haven't already. Fab community that I'm sure you'd love!
Good to know!
there are lots of folks buying farmland here, glad to see you on this journey

just curious...do you have access to water for the land? (ie. water well or other) Can't wait to see what you're going to grow. I'd definitely make a tripup there when the crops start coming in! Best of luck Alexandra.
Brilliant. This is my dream
Alex just dropped the most interesting and craziest idea video after a long break
Hahahahaha😂
land looks beautiful
Best part? Greenhouses are like 200 square feet, and you are on like a zillion. You could build like 6 up in no time, add those hoop/tunnel things for smaller greens, land for days for squash, melons, etc… with land left over. Can’t wait to see more.

Hey Alex,
As far as being a professional farmer goes-
Have you ever thought about being a legal dispensary grower of cannabis or it’s various derivative plants (or delta 8, hashish, hemp, etc.) the medical and recreational marijuana industry uses?
Have you heard of Govardhan Eco village? Check that out as part of your research
I shall!
Yes thank you
It’s beautiful ❤
NY is expensive. Not for me. But good for you. :>
It's actually cheaper than Florida haha!
6.74 acres of farmland? that's just a big yard, a little bigger than my grand parents 5 acre yard. that's kinda like when my aunts 3rd husband who bought 15 acres and 1 cow and called himself a rancher. his biggest problem were the taxes on the property, since the property didn't produce enough income to cover the taxes.
i've noticed this persons blogs, are only in the neighborhood of semi informative. if you plan to try her idea on hobby sized land, think about the cost of taxes, insurance, utilities, and building cost and maintenance. i'll have to research, but i doubt that money will cover buildings unless they are already on the property. need buildings to store tools and equipment to them secure, lets not forget greenhouses if you plan to grow all year round. wells cost about 20k to dig 20 to 30 years ago, if you were lucky enough to hit ground water quick. oh all that land development increases the value of the land, which will increase the tax and insurance cost. for those of you living in an apartment, you might decide t build a small home on the property to consolidate costs . you might want to research alternative energy sources to reduce cost and create a small passive income stream. obviously your only going to build what you need to start,, the rest comes as you need it and cant afford to be without. so have fun in the worst part of any start-up venture THE RESEARCH.
Hello Alexandra, I am a registered doctor from Bangladesh. Are there any opportunities for doctors in the freelancing field? There aren't many videos for us doctors who want to freelance. Could you give me some tips and tricks please.

How will this affect your allergies?
Alex, found myself last two months booted out of your Facebook community. Curious why?
Did you break the group rules haha?
@@AlexandraFasuloBiz no I didn't break any rules Alex.
Did you leave Florida and move to NY?
Yes! I am from Upstate New York originally
