I regret buying this enclosure. I bought it so that I could get data off my 8TB Iron Wolf drive before using it as backup. The included screws are too short for a 3.5" HDD because they don't enter deep enough into the HDD screw holes to hold securely. Two of the screws popped out due to the outward tension caused by the plastic housing. This stripped the threads of my HDD and now I can no longer secure it safely inside my computer case. To use the drive as a backup, I have to search for a docking station or compatible internal HDD trays that accept underside screws. I've never used Sabrent products before, but a friend suggested them to me for an enclosure. Unfortunately, the decision resulted in a very infuriating experience.
Why did your camera have a shallow depth of field? You focused fine on the guy but everything else is blurry out of focus hard to read? Add more lights to your set and get f8 to f11 so it will fix that issue.
I find it a bit humorous when after you say it is tool free the first thing you pull out of the box is a screw driver. Or do you mean the screw driver is free? 😀

i have this and BOY does it run super hot. as in the metal enclosure gets HOT AF. I think its the hdd bc i have a near 10 year old 3.5 drive.
if it's called free. why is there a screwdriver and screws included?

if anybody is wondering the controller used is Initio. IIRC it was INIC3639. works great with toshiba x300 7200 8TB.

How do you measure the hard drive to tell if it is a 2.5 or 3.5 inch hard drive? What is the dimension measurement for 3.5inch hard drives?
2.5 inch drives are fairly light and u can hold them like a phone
3.5 inch is like holding a brick

I’ve read reviews saying this enclosure does not work with Seagate Exos enterprise 3.5 hard drives. Is this true?
