This is really helpful.. the only problem is how do I document my labs the way you did yours
Thank you for this.
Hi, I’m currently in the same boat. Next year I’m doing a placement year(gap year to gain experience) for my university course. I don’t have any experience like you said courseworks does not help enough. But thank you for the video. I’m trying to gain knowledge from this cv as well as I want to do incidents response/soc
Great job bruh. I might have to revise my resume yet again! I uploaded my screenshot to the discord ticket.
Sounds good!
This is great 👍
A solid resume template where you want to show off your skills and certifications, but also the projects you've worked on. My mentor since I started my security engineer apprenticeship has been sending me projects to work on since the beginning. I initially thought that it was a waste of my time and that I should be focused on OJT work. However, I am grateful looking back to have so much to include in my resume. If you're currently in school and pursuing cyber security definitely apply for internships or apprenticeships.
what were some of the projects you were sent
You're my hero
Thank you!
You're welcome!
A thought, would including some labs we did in BTL1 or CCD be worth including under projects?
Not a bad idea but there’s no “proof” of them since the labs are restricted.
My friend, please help if you can .can you please direct me into a computer trade to learn ? I want to get a job with computers. But I don't know what trade to get into. I want to get into the computer world and make money.no more construction for the me. Thank you.
I think a skill section is very important to highlight key words and to bypass the ats scanners
You could just highlight those skills within the project section if you don’t want to add an extra section to the resume.
Linkedin is awesome help to show case your projects
like how, by making them posts?
Would you say the same for someone who has 9yrs of IT experience? I am trying to transition to Cybersecurity and have the security+ and Google Cybersecurity cert. I am working on creating a home lab based on your blog but I'm struggling to optimize my resume given my years of IT experience. Thank you 🙏🏽
This is what I have experience. I have been working in IT for 10 Years, I have a cybersecurity and networking associates degree, with two certs, Security+ and CC from ISC2. No jobs yet. I am currently making 70k as an IT consultant, and I am trying to find something with the same amount or more, but I have not got any jobs yet.
Really depends what sector you want to work in. The one pager and use of SEO keywords for their resume when going for Federal/Government work doesn't apply. A federal resume is a whole different game.
Fair point, however, the majority of people are not looking at federal roles.
Shit. You have put my resume to shame.
No wonder I wasn't getting calls.
Now I have a lot of homework to do
What is the format of the resume you are selling at $5 . Is it just google docs ?
the url is literally visible
Wait are you working with your certifications or you do just this.
