- Now we plant the Sweet Potato Plants (Slips) into the ground. This is probably the most important video in the series, as I show how to separate 43 slips from the original potato pieces, prepare and fertilize the potato bed, and then how to plant them into the ground. I waited 2 days to release this video to go back and show them again, so everyone could see how well this method works.
that;s gonna be some good potatoes. thank you so much.
Thank you. I watered them today. They are all about 1 foot high now, and all have survived .
Thank you . Good information.
I planted my first slips in the greenhouse this evening. I’ll let you know. Thanks for your help.
Looking good. 😁👍
This is my first time doing this, thank you so much from central Texas ❤
Once you have done it, you will probably grow them every year. Thanks for watching.
I’m trying to grow Slips but think I have started too late but we’ll see. If I have will start early next year. Thank you for showing us how to do this.
If you get a few slips - go ahead and plant them in the ground and let them run a bit. Then cut and plant them like I did in this video. Here's the link... ua-cam.com/video/rTgctpGo9l4/v-deo.html You only need 3 months of warm weather after you plant the slips in the mounds... Thanks for watching.
Thankyou very much for this tutorial this is So helpful I will be planting mine in the green house as I live in Canada and that will guarantee the temperature perameters
That sounds like a good plan. Thanks for watching. I have an update on my sweet potatoes coming out in early June.
Very good channel 👍 👏 👌 😀 Thank you ❤️
Thanks and welcome
Thank you sir, great video.
Thank you for watching.
How deep should your container be if you are growing sweet potatoes in containers?
If you check out today's video, link - ua-cam.com/video/QqtWnNrWnmc/v-deo.html I show my sweet potato crop in the garden. You will notice I put some slips into a container that is about 2 feet deep, and they are not doing nearly as well as those planted into the garden. So I believe you may need a 3ft deep and 3 ft wide container to grow the sweet potatoes and get a good harvest. Thanks for the question.
Thank You so much!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching...
