The spot for the new villiage is probebly the best one in the game, I've did set up my first village there and it is the perfekt spot. After watching all the episodes I can give some advise. One: Buy a Iron crosbow and 15-20 iron bolts, You have money. When hunting aim for the head, the crossbow with iron bolts oneshot almost everyting (exept Bear and Winsent, they are 2 bolts in the head). Two: Every workstation in the mangenment will show you what tool and how much durability are left on the tools. And if you have setup that you will get resources from a workstation but no worker it will show something is missing. (like your wife are not working) Three: For your new settlement try and get the stone house and plank roof, your settelers will be muth happier and produce more. Four: You can ask your wife to pay taxes you you dont have to run there and pay, save some time. Love the serie and keep up the good work. One tip is not to progress to far off camera, We like to think we do this journey with you
As promised, husband bought me the game for Christmas. Actually got it on boxing day! We've both been playing and so far (and in some ways) I'm WAY in advance of him - using all the useful tips I've picked up here, so thank you! :) Thoroughly enjoying it, ATM midway through my first winter. One tip for anyone out there - you can see stone a lot easier on the ground in winter, so if you can, collect as much as possible then rather than trying to do it in summer or autumn. :)
Manure/Eggs/Feathers don't get collected by workers ever. They produce their own stuff, but the stuff you pick up yourself is basically a bonus. If you open your management screen and check the buildings, it should tell you what's wrong. There's usually a red icon next to the building. Often it's something you don't need to worry about, like not enough logs to make planks etc.
correct. I see it the other way round though.. you can pick up the manure/ eggs etc but if you assign a worker then that is the bonus. It is in addition to what you pick up yourself... but same same. so the stuff you see in the animal sheds has nothing to do with what the worker collects.
Not sure if others have shared but pigs have a 15% chance to breed for each pair you have. From my experience I try to keep their feed full at all times, but it is indeed really random about their breeding. Thanks for your dedication in getting these vids out over the holidays! I wish you a blessed holiday season and a prosperous new year!
loved the series and binge watched most of it yesterday, and love the game myself. for the work not being done is because you have a sett work load that your wife did, and now as she is watching the child it will tell you a job is not being done, you can go into management and turn down what she was supposed to di and it will disappear
If you put knife in the fishing hut it will let the worker work they need knives aswell as spears also you can check you’re managment screen to see what tools are needed
If you go to the technology option in the menu, you can go to the respective buildings and buy the technologies there, instead of going to each building. This also tells you what each item costs to build in materials and how much you can sell it for. Making it much easier to see what gives you the most ROI.
Good video but it might be time to check quick build and quick craft in the game settings. At this point the only "cheat factor" is time due to wooden hammers being cheap. Having fun is the most important part so you keep doing you and have fun
At this point i'd focus on getting yourself a builder's hut in order to self-mediate the repairs process of buildings and the likes. You go in the management tab and just set them to repair certain buildings once needed. Fishing is also a "top down" aspect. You have to have height to see them swimming in the water. It's a weird concept, but that's just how they made it work. Hopefully they change it sometime. I also don't know if it's specific to the fishing hut, where you have to be on it to see them or not as well.
3:09 When you select the recipe it shows you what is the itemvalue at the bottom of the screen (and item characteristics too) ! It's interesting how I never noticed that myself till I saw it on your video! 😯
at 27:00 minutes, You missed the axe on the rafter above the feed trough in the first building and the coins in the bird nest on the roof of the second building.
Loving this series, many thanks particularly in the holiday period! Just a warning regarding the fishing hut; the fishers require a knife and a fishing spear and in the valley game the spears only last a couple of days (in my game) . You will need a lot of linen thread to keep them supplied so prepare. Of course this might be different in the Oxbow game!
fishing spears and fishing nets require linen thread (expensive fishing) 5 throwing rocks can be crafted from 1 stone at Smithy workbench (cheap fishing ammo)
Hello Kysen, Happy New Year. I just started playing Medieval Dynasty and this Lets Play has been masterful. I like how you take the time to explain things and show how to do them. It has helped me in a lot of ways (will be stealing some ideas of yours 😆). I have joined both your Discord and this UA-cam channel. I look forward to watching your future videos and those wonderful endeavors you will be sharing with us. Keep up the excellent job you are doing. Now for the reason I came to this particular video. At 25:47 you come across an abandoned house. On the roof of the large building is a nest. In that nest is a pouch. Some bird must have stolen it off of the wonderful MiroGod and left it in the nest😂 For inside the pouch is 500 coins. I don't think much people know of this because I haven't seen it on anyone's UA-cam videos. I hope this tip helps both you and your watchers.
Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the series and I really appreciate the support 🙂 I'll try to remember to look for this pouch when I'm back from Hong Kong! 🙂
Hi Kysen. I dont understand your thinking of putting all tools in their correct worker buildings so that you know where they are.. if you just put them in the resource storage then everything is in the same place and it works just as well. Once your town is bigger you will start to need more of some buildings. eg if you start to automate farms (which i highly recommend) the relevant building has a range to it, so fields need to be within that range or there is a penalty. So the answer is to build a second building (can assign more people this way too) but the worker buildings do not share their storage so placing everything into the resource storage is the answer so that workers from both buildings to just take what they need. fertiliser, seeds, hoes, bags etc etc rather than trying to split it all up between multiple buildings. Another eg, both hunter cabin and fisher hut need knives. You can just build a stack and put them in the resource storage and each worker building will just take what they need when they need it. Resource storage buildings do share their storage and each one built increases total storage capacity. These also have a range and workers will dump there products into the resource storage if there is one in range and their worker building storage if there is not one in range. I am enjoying the series. Long may it continue.
With all the money that you have, you can buy an iron crossbow from town for @1,100 coins and that will make hunting easier and faster. You'll be able to hunt buffalo, as well as wolves and boars from safer distances. Thanks for the videos!
Tip: u can steal in the night i think u have skills for that u can take whatever u want but there is a guard if he finds u u will lose dynasty hopefully u see this
Welcome back. Good video. Just a notice, but at 27:04 or so you mentioned being careful to watch for loot and at 27:07 you overlooked the axe in the wall. Might have been bronze, you never know. (Still excellent vids, I started a new game because of this series.) 🍺
Hey buddy, i've been following the series and it's been amazing. Tips that I've found after around 150hours in total is get the "Village Whistle-blower" to call your dongkey from anywhere, Idk if you've seen it already and just choose not to do it xD
Nice video again. You’re gonna have to produce a lot of linen thread for the fishing spears. In my other game I built the fishing hut too early and was not able to provide enough spears for the fisherman. When you hire a fisherman, you have to look at the survival skill, it’s not the same as the hunter. Before hiring someone for a job, go to management screen and try to assign a worker there. It will highlight the skill needed for that job. For breeding pigs, you have a better chance of reproduction if you have two females and a male, but for me, I had one of each and after maybe a year they made two piglets at once, so I guess it’s pretty random. For hunting, I would recommend you buy a recurved bow. They have more power and accuracy and more durability also. I know a lot of people hunt with the crossbow, but I hate the reload time. When you’re chased by a bear, I prefer to be able to fire a few quick shots. Also if you’re hunting for XP, try to focus on birds as you can one shot them easily and they give good xp.
The only thing that could improve this game would be if it were randomly generated maps and towns every time.. just so you have a reason to start a new game after completing one. Even if they had the same cities, it would be nice if they were just randomly placed on different maps so you could have new places to build a town upon.
I don't know if you already know but there is a bear hunting location near the waterfall that you choose for your new base so maybe we could have a hunting episode? Love your videos :)
@@Brandon-zu3tw After I posted the reply to you I actually looked to make sure I had told you right and I couldn't find it myself. At that point I wasn't sure if it was something like the option had disappeared because I already had one or something, but following your reply just now, I googled and found the answer. Scratch all of my previous reply - the devs moved the bally thing! Its still in the build menu - try furniture/workstations/farming workstations - it's in there. Apologies for bad info - hope that helps you find it!
Hello Kysen, as far as I know, there is no point in fertilizing a field if you don't plant it straight away. After the change of season it is barren again, and your work is in vain and valuable fertilizer and therefore money, is lost.
Question, for men and woman villagers, does the age gap matter? xD i thought of trying pairing a 10year gap between both on the houses. Just curious if it works

Selling waterskin is the best. You’ll get 40 for each and to make waterskin only need 2 leather.
Yippee your back .ps with the spare food, I make up into stew and portage
And give half to my villages and sell the rest and make a tidy profit
Good ideas thanks :)

I wonder if the pigs don't reproduce because of lack of room. I notice the chickens and donkeys stop after they ran out of room.
The pigs still have a few free spots I believe
I think there was an axe lodged in the wall in that abandoned hut..
Looting those abandoned houses in winter makes the game look like The Long Dark
Hey where do you find the compost bin? I have been struggling to find it in my game to build it
its in the build/decorations option - hope that helps!
Thanks I'll have to check that out
So when I hopped on this morning it wasn't there is it in the independent build menu or somehow through a building itself?

Yes they matter, If the gap is greater than 5 years they will not produce any heir.
Episode 12! Lets Gooooo!
I got the game but sadly had to refund it cause it just kept crashing
That is strange. does you PC meet the min specs? I have 45 hours in the game and have not had one crash. It is very stable for me.
sorry to hear that
