I've been playing Oxbow for 8 years, and my wife has not given me any quests. I think that other comment was referring to the Valley where she gives lots of quests.
I created a "sitting area" in my village for them to rest/relax after a long day of work and yes...they do need the space around the seats to get up and move around, otherwise they can get stuck in the pathing. I had to adjust several seats/benches to give them enough room to wander in and out. Another great episode!
I noticed a woman at the seating area outside after you put Dalebora to work in the hunters lodge. Any villagers that are there during working hours don’t have a job. Mothers or fathers of young children stay in their homes until they turn 2 and then they are ready to go back to work while the 2yr. olds run around loose. 😊
Keep your wool for later, you’re gonna need it for those streetlamps you want so much 😉. I would suggest you focus on sheeps for now and once you got that rolling, you can build a second fold and put the goats in and then focus on the milk. Once you get the cows, you’ll get a lot of milk that you can then process into cheese and then sell it. As for the bench and chairs being so far from the tables, I think it’s for the animation of the villagers sitting at those places. They need space to be able to sit properly.
Best way to get the mine and tech points quickly is by cooking, particularly Flat Bread, this costs flour and water, so hopefully you have enough wheat and buckets, but it’s unbelievably quick to level up doing this, might be seen as an exploit, but a good way to get the mine for content especially when your pretty close. Also the happier your villagers are the quicker they level up and the more they produce, so be mindful of this when building houses, they need at least the middle house made of stone, with tiled roof and fully insulated along with this they are happier paired up and finally decorations in the house give +1 mood increase per decoration up to the max of ten. Enjoying the content hope the tips help.
You can build a resource storage just outside each town. That way you're expanding your total storage capacity, plus you don't have as far to travel carrying items when buying or selling
Or close to the other mineable caves....well there are two towns with caves close to them,(Piastovia and Skauki) Skauki has a mine already he can start getting his iron up from now. I bet if he builds the RS 2 at both of them buys an iron axe and goes, and cuts trees you can get about 200 trees from it. he gets his mine up really quick
@Kysen consider me inspired if your going to go with @MattRigbye80 and my plan to get the extra RS 2 the way to do it like a boss is to bring back donkey as he can carry more load than the horse, and I miss him, poor guy. clear out your inventory you only need your weapons, for the 🐺🐺 and🐻🐻, with axe and hammer, wait those to are weapons' as well, . Full up with planks can't remember the amount but the roof of the RS 2 should not be more than 80 planks you should be able to take that and more.... Call it, The Return of :Donkey: or Claude saves the day or A blast from the past, hehehe you get where I'm going. PS. The are watching
I would use 2 folds, 1 for goats and 1 for sheep. The reason the milk production is so low is that you only have 1 goat being milked. Enjoy the content and keep up the good work.
9:27 you can check the stats and the selling price at the bottom of the screen when hovering on an item.. you don't have to buy everything to check if they are worth it
You can see the price of items before purchasing the blueprint/recipe and work out which is more profitable, when hovering over the blueprint/recipe the price is right at the top of the text just below the selection wheel. Loving the series! Thank you for sharing all the hints and tips. I bought this game from watching your play through.
play this game while watching this video in mini player Hahaha, in my save, when my health drop below 30% wife/husband heal to 50% also I think she/he can only do one at a time, because when my hungry drop and the other 2 bar high, she/he give me pottage ;) same goes to thirst, but it's a good little rescue, I love your village layout and the location!
I noticed while playing myself, you don't have to make the item to know it's price. When in the scroll wheel, hovering over the item if you look just under the circle it shows you some information about the item :D
Great video. I think your forgetting the villages need space to sit down and the doves need moving coz there make a mess on the tables and keep trying to nick the food lol
when you hold over recipes in workstations you get information about them in the bottom of the screen that say the price and other facts. no need to craft it to find out the monitary value :) just saying, Love the videos :D
You need to give your wife gifts (you can only give one per season) so her affection doesn’t keep slowly dropping. If you ignore her for long enough she’ll leave and take the child with her.
On behalf of the goats alliance we want our own fold!!! As a representative of the GOATS I just would like to point out that having just one animal that you can milk and saying that it is not much you getting is almost liable. We have written to our lawyers and are looking to see if you get more that one female cow(heifer) and then say that your are getting a lots of milk we will take you to court for discrimination of goats 🐐. You are warned!!!!!

I would turn my knowledge to 200%, the game is really slow paced and there is a big chance you'll quit before you unlock the tavern

Check how much space you have for lambs you breed. The fold holds a lot but it does have limits.
I'm not sure what happens if you exceed it

The villages will be happier if you decorate inside their houses as well
just remembered you're in wa, welcome to the heatwave state, happy travels.
haha yeah my office is an actual sauna everyday atm! Thanks! :)
Decorate with some baskets and place flowers in them :)
Hey. You can check a price of cloths in the sewing hut at the bottom before you make/ buy item
Absolutely love your videos, give me inspiration when it somes to my world
Thanks so much :)
Please fill the washtub beside your house. It would be nice if we could see you use that area with the outhouse. 😍
will do soon :)

7:03 No ewe are sheep, does or nannies are goats 😋
You need to give your wife gifts (you can only give one per season) so her affection doesn’t keep slowly dropping. If you ignore her for long enough she’ll leave and take the child with her.
I can’t remember the exact range but I think each gift ranges between +5 to +15 depending on how much she likes it.
Thanks for the tip! :) Will do that soon
