Hey, very nice video! Very helpful! I have been a bit confused in choosing between the Apurture F7 vs the Digitek one.... the cost of Apurture is 3-4 times... but wondering if that would help do away with the battery hassles in Digitek! Could you please help?
Yeah, that's true. But actually the digitek handles heat quite well due to the fins all around the board. It's better than those sealed battery lights like the Simpex one here. I prefer lights with battery on the outside, as they don't get damaged as much due to heat.✌🏼
I would suggest getting those RGB light strips. They last much longer but don't have the same portability as these. But you won't have to worry about charging them either, they'll with with a 12V DC adapter. Here's the one I'm using: amzn.to/3Wz3rjr and one from filamentlights.in
Hey, one more question... so do you think 2-3 of these would be recommended? One as Key, one as Back etc. If say I am arranging lighting for an Interview in a room...
These will work pretty well for interviews as they have high CRI and no flicker, but you'll need to soften the digitek one out with some cloth diffusers as it gets quite bright.👍🏻
diffuser doesnt makes the light soft. there are 2 components to make light soft 1. SIZE 2. photon homogeneous by keeping the light close, the light source becoming BIGGER thats why it is soft because the light wrap around the subject. the frosted diffuser including in many lights is not to making the light soft but to making the photons homogeneous, so it spread evenly. but if your subject relative size to the light source stil bigger than it still casting harsh shadows, thats why to make a light soft needs this 2 things
@@TheHopelessGeek thats right, diffuser or any light modifiers use for making the light source bigger, u can bounce it to white board or white wall too. but the problem is when we use something infront of the light, it cut down the intensity. thats why i feel something is missing and un-answered in your video review and most of other light reviews too. the standard test for light output in television industry is 1000lux at 1meter with f2.8, 1/50 or 1/60 and ISO 100. most or almost all channel reviewing light always never stated what their camera settings is and just saying this light is really2 bright, but how bright that light actually is? for example my aputure f7 tested by me at standard tv industry at max output is at f2.8, 1/60, ISO 100. if i give this number to other photographer or videographer they can calculating how much they are going to need in their situation. for example if you going to diffuse it with shower curtain it will cut about 2 stop of light, so you can choose to open the aperture or cranking up the ISO, if you in budget like me i cant open f2.8 and stuck with 1/60 so i have to crank up the ISO to ISO 400. so i hope you can make videos about this too to give people exact universal ideas about how bright the light output at 100%. because i thought that f7 was bright enough to be use as keylight for my macro product videos as aputure write that F7 measurement is 1700lux at 1 meter, but what is the camera settings for 1700lux at 1 meter? lol thats the general problems of light reviews. as long as you reviewing with the standard of f2.8, 1/60. ISO 100 than everybody will having the exact intensity and know is this light good enough for their use cases.
For the sealed battery Simpex light, you just have to remove the six screws on the back panel to access the battery. It will be soldered onto the contacts, which has to be removed with a heat gun. You can pluck it off with scissors too, and resolder new battery contacts. The digitek one is much easier as it is an external battery.
Nice review bro. Just out there with the absolutely required info!

The digitek one has pretty decent battery life. What were you referring to as a "hassle"? The removable design is actually a good thing imo😄
@@TheHopelessGeek basically the heating up, and just 2 hours of battery life! But I guess it is okay given Digitek costs 3k and Apurture F7 costs 9K

Hi !! Which would be suitable for makeup artist
A ring light may be better as it's more diffused and will light the subject from all directions. It'll also be slimmer, so takes less space
thanks for the tips

Which RGB would you suggest for a budget around 5k?

Am thinking between the Aputure Mc vs this Godox M1 vs the cheaper ulanxo 120 VL and this one which is Indian the simpex!
Godox is quite a good alternative to aperture, often at slightly lower costs 🙂

After using the Digitek RGB light for 10 mins at 100% brightness, it got extremely heated... is that normal?
These lights do get very hot, but the heat vents should keep it safe.
Can I use it for Bridal makeup shoot im a makeup artist?
You certainly can 🙂👍🏽

Yeah, it's too small at that distance. Maybe I should use a shower curtain in front of it to increase the size🙂

You're right, I'll state a fixed camera setting for my next tests.
Ohh the keyboard guy is here!
I'm also the 'lights and other tech' guy 😂
Love your content man, very underrated channel!
😅thanks, I try to make good stuff that I'm proud of.
how many colours does the rgb one have? is it just 3?
Nope, any hue between them is supported.
so the bottom of my mouse somehow turns sticky even if it is at a surface where there is no stickyness do you know a solution
It could be because of the moisture in the air. Try using a mouse pad.
Video Idea 💡 :- qna 😩
Well, I answer pretty much every question right here in the comments 😅. Maybe one day we'll do that.👍🏻
How to remove the battery show that

Buy bicolor light and use a colored A4 sheet.
It'll drastically reduce the brightness though
@@TheHopelessGeek Yeah that's the major drawback 😞
😅that's the story with pretty much any type of diffusion
