Tonya, you cracked me up again when you saw the price on the black mirror - "ya'll I have done it again. I have got to do something about my eyes". I laughed and laughed. Yes, those old eyes will get you every time!!

Wow! You had another amazing haul! I love the sandwich plate set, so pretty. You did so good. I don’t see items up here the way you find. I’m so happy for you. That salt holder is an easy fix, it’s unique. So many pretty items ❤️ That Crock 😳 love it! This is the first I see stone fruit. Where have I been 😄 Well, we are finally heading south on vacation tomorrow morning to Kentucky and Tennessee. We are hoping to find a bunch of treasures for my booth but also see areas we’ve never seen before. Hope you’re having a great Sunday! ❤️

Wonderful finds. I do not have very good luck. Unfortunately in South Florida the thrifting is not that great. Very few treasures, although I think a lot of people do throughout more than in other places so that's where I get get my thrift finds thanks for sharing

Oh my goodness girl. I almost fell off the couch when you showed that stone fruit, and how inexpensive that it was. I collect it, and pay on average about $15 a piece. What I can tell you about stone fruit is that the older pieces are usually between about 60 and 100 years old. It was reproduced in the 1960s and '70s from China and Mexico. You have to be careful which ones you pick up those that you showed look like they are the actual pieces of stone fruit and not the new imitation ones. Being super heavy is basically the way to tell. Not all will have the wooden stem, because it breaks. Finding the stem on one is a plus! As you mentioned the shiny ones are the newer ones and more than likely from Mexico.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with collecting the newer pieces but just keep in mind that their value probably won't be as high in the long run. I also enjoyed all the other things that you got while you were out. You can Google and find out a little bit of information on stone fruit .Also check out Facebook. There is a group for people with stone fruit. I don't know if I can mention the group here, but you can search for it.

The old stone fruit has a distinctive look...usuallly muted colors and a little wear (I've never seen any from legitimate dealers that is shiny)....you are correct the old pieces have the wood stems and as for cherries they used wire for the stems.

The stone fruit is so cool I think. I found some in my grandma’s basement. I didn’t know what it was. I picked it up and almost dropped the bowl it was so heavy. The difference in what I have is it looks like marble. When I Google lensed it, it pulled up marble fruit. I’m not sure. It may just be stone. I would love to know. I’m fascinated with it.
