An organised set up from you and Mark as always , the multipurpose hammock and tent is a good 👍 idea the more multipurpose things you have to camp the less it is to carry , that idea gose back hundreds of years in camping and exploring. A can of meat balls why not and if a bit more hungry just add some spaghetti and you got a Italian meal .
I own this Hamak tent and a couple of US Army tents which are designed the same way (bug net as the outer). It makes perfect sense (to me) as you only have to unzip one layer from the inside when it's not raining. If the bug net was on the inside, you would have to open that - and then open the outer fabric - and then close the bug net layer again. That is why they are designed this way in my opinion, makes it quicker and easier to vent while you are inside it.
Maybe the door is on the inside so it's not ending up on the ground or dangling down on the outside. It might be small but it looks like it has plenty of storage for bits and bobs along the inside back wall. Nice bit of light proofing too.
Its a swamp/tundra environment type of tent. They need the mosyes out and see what is around them. Usualy, they place three tents together as a star to cover all the angles. Have you announced who won the knife?
Looks a great set up Allan, not like you to not have a good nights sleep, good to have the tarp as backup. That puppy 🐶 🖤🤍🖤 Sounded like you were in the bloody Amazon 😂🤣😁
I actually went to Crawley today ( whilst out on call) to get a Solognac tarp.....out of stock!!! Gutted as I was going to use it on my next camp out. Hey ho. Think I will have to get it online. Nice vid showing the kit though 👍😉
We rescued a German shepherd and he didn’t like men wearing hats and after 8yrs still barked at men in hats…. Dogs remember funny things, maybe our one was abused by some hat wearing man, something we never found out…..
Ofcourse you regulate the heat in the biggiobag behind the mesh. When the day was warm or when you have to ventilate a lot you only use the mesh. Then when you need it you close up on the inside. Anything else would be a design flaw. Mesh us synthetic. It does not absorb a lot of moisture and it quickly breathes dry. Hence what is the illogical worry?
Hi Alan, I don´t know but I imagine the mesh is on the outside so you can open the window, when fully closed, without letting any bugs in? Kind regards Alain

What a cutie Dingo is, I thought she was very well behaved for a first camp.
Like the setup too 👍🏾

Nice relaxed camp, even Dingo found peace. That rain was awesome but not as beautiful as the birdsong in the morning 🎶
Another great video brother, thanks, God bless you and your family, and happy camping 🏕. Lee
Glad you enjoyed it
That dog is lovely. Crappie name lol

Gorgeous dog ,
What a lovely dog hope you get many adventures together which I'm sure to have planned. A two person tent comes to mind😅😅

Great video mate 👍
great vid mate nothing beats a tarp and bivvy
Thanks for watching.
Very nice setup
I'm glad you like it 👍
Looked a nice chilled camp Alan
👍👍👍👍The mesh on the outer part , is because of ticks , Russian trouses have a fold over to act as a tick trap also
Thanks for that. 👍

woof !!! 🐶
Is that a Solognac tarp?
Yes it is mate. Good tarp. 👍
@@jim-bob-outdoors I thought I recognised that camo, haha. I see quite a lot of Solognac in my neck of the woods.
Can't find one of those anywhere, have you got it from Lars? Aww bonny wee dog.
I got mine direct from Russia years ago. The odd one pops up on ebay now and then.

Quite possible. They remember the strangest of things.

I am not worried, just wonder why the main door is this way, when the two windows at the head end are the opposite way round.

Quite possibly, but the smaller windows are the other way around. 🤔

Watch out for those pesky Ukrainian drones 😉
Nice outing…Ironically Dingos can’t Bark…Watch out using that Russian equipment with all the Ukrainians being trained by NATO..Have fun stay safe.
Почему это называется русским гамаком и русским бивуаком?? Производство или культурно-историческое объяснение?
Он использовался российской армией (я полагаю, что это горные войска). Не знаю, сколько ему лет, я купил его напрямую в России 4 или 5 лет назад.

lol dude that's some china crap with copied UK camo.
Wrong, and when did the UK use that pattern? Its closer to the old US woodland camo. 🙄
What UK camo are you talking about? I'm an ex squaddie, and I've only ever been issued DPM and MTP, I've never seen this pattern in UK use.
