Every vehicle whether Land ,Sea and Air is a Liability . You have to maintain it for its optimum working conditions. Not mentioning the Pilot, the ship Captain and the parking and landing fees and hangar fees.
It is financially better to charter a yacht rather than own a yacht. A yacht is a liability rather than an asset. On the other hand … it is definitely a status symbol. But if you have that much money, do you really care what anyone thinks?
Yachts losing value as soon as they go into the water is false. If you spend the money to build a Superyacht (something over 20 meters) it will take 3 to 5 years. After it is built there is a strong potential to sell it for much more than you spend building because someone who doesn't want to wait will be willing to pay more to have it immediately. This is not speculation. You can look up figures on yacht sales, but make sure you compare build cost to sales cost within the first 3 years. After that your statement becomes more accurate.
If it was chartered 50% of the time (not likely), at max capacity (12 passengers/6 crew), that’s about $75-$250 per person per day...doesn’t sound crazy if it includes alcohol and caviar.
#13. If I may Alux Lady .... The real answer is "Yes and No" (if its for private use then No. However if you plan on Chartering it so others can rent it from you / your company..? Then Yes)
Or you can document your yacht with the US Coast Guard like I did for around $4-500.00 which means that in an emergency they can use your vessel for “humanitarian aid “ anytime they so desire, and states can’t change you tax just because you are parked in their waters. Other perks like not having to deal with local police in a foreign port if someone steals your boat you call the Navy to help because it is included in the US fleet.
*I think owning a yacht would be too much if a hassle, if im going to ball out with my ball out, I'd probably buy super high end cars and maybe a custom built house in a place where i don't have To worry about neighbors complaining*
@@XFXBoard A million is the entry point... The super yachts (not even talking about the bigger mega yacht) will cost millions just to use and maintain them per year.
The port old port in Cannes, also reffered to as Cannes port, is not called "port de cannes" but Port Le Vieux. Plus regarding yacht crews on a 115 footer. You would need a 1 captain, Engineer, deckhand, chef and a stewardess, not 2 (although some boats like the Sunseeker 115 i believe can house 2, but won't need it). Also, regarding your expenses on cost of dining and flowers etc etc, 1 million to 3 million. That depends ENTIRELY on your boat, yes if you are the owner of Dilbar, sure crew food is expensive, but i can assure you, on lets say a 115 footter, 1 million are waaaaaaay to high, but if you are the type who doesn't like anything but spraying champagne 365 days a year, sure it would be expensive. And now onto the whole part about "30 guest 50 crew" 50 crew i have heard on 100+ meter yachts, and i have heard of 30 guest boats, but that is very rare they have that, most commonly they will have maximum of 12 guests, due to regulations.
There are plenty of people who buy 5-10 year old secondhand power sport cruisers around $200K. If you want your video to be helpful, you could use that as a starting point, make realistic assumptions about how normal people would use them (eg driving the boat themselves, weekend getaways for families and friends, bring your food onto the boat and catch n cook barbecue on the boat, dry dock or tow depending on the boat size, etc.) and show people how to keep the running cost low on a boat. For a $200K boat used for family/friends weekend getaways, it could cost less than $10K per annum.

This is a constructive critique of this channel, as I was a subscriber of this channel for a very long time, until I was no longer. It is very sad to see this channel slowly die. You have 2.77 million subs but only 11k views on this video. Not that views matter for this type of content, but it just goes to show that a lot of your subscribers who were really interested in your content no longer are. I can't speak for others, but I just want to share my reason behind unsubbing because I really want the old content back. 1. My favorite videos where your Sunday motivational, as well as your business content. For example one of your videos talked about Tesla. I got into self improvement after watching your channel. Kind of ironic I ran across this video as I just saw an article where the guy did a whole break down of what it costs to own a yacht and he did a survey or someone did and asked people that were wealthy enough to own a yacht would they and over 90% said no. Yachts are great but a massive cost for no more than most people spend on one...seems far better to just charter one every once in awhile and not have the cost and hassle
It is true, Alexander Kruse.....and..... the medical Doctor too, included a nursery...!! Some large yacht, have even more engineer (mechanical, eletrical and hydraulic).... and if you have the helicopter, need the pilot... finally, if you have a mother-in-law, you will have to memorize: "I do not command , but you daughter!"...
NEVER been so happy to have seasickness 🤢. Don't laugh...I'd rather have a pontoon and float around lake Livingston or Nacogdoches! Yes, I am from Texas 🤠😍
The answer to your question will I buy another sailboat? Absolutely without question I have lived on my last boat for 13 of the last 14 years and I currently have an eye on three that are within my range.
Why do you need to buy a yacht? To impress other people, but it’s sooo stupid! Spending so much money for one time impression....not worth it, and by the way it’s easier to rent a yacht and so much cheaper ....
These guys already own millions of dollars worth of cars and huge mansions, and probably travel private jet too. Yachts are often bought after the mentioned itches have been scratched.
I think owning a watch is a money pit. If I buy a yacht for $20 million it will cost me $2 million a year to operate. $2 million is a small fortune that i could save or invest in real estate, stock market, bond and gold.
