I just made my very first crochet hat following this tutorial and it was so easy! Thank you so much for your videos, I just started watching them last month and have already learned so much!
Loved how your tutorial was perfect speed for my level of crochet, you weren't soo slow that I couldn't watch and you weren't too fast either. Just perfect! Beautiful hat, can't wait to try it!
Your tutorials are the BEST!!! Ordered your Tunisian Crochet book too. You have gotten me hooked on crochet. Watching/following you is how I have been able to crochet beautiful things. Excellent teacher & videos. Thank you!!! 💝
@@hattiem.7966 No my dad passed away about 4 years ago,but I enjoyed watching your channel.. and thankful there are people like him and you in the world..Thanks
Incredible tutorial. I am dyslexic and reading patterns is super hard for me. I have a hard time finding tutorials that ate clear. Your voice is nice, tutorial is easy to follow, you are clear and informative. Thank you for sharing your pattern!
I LOVED your tutorial! My teacher, she crochets to and she LOVED the hat! Now she's gonna make one! All of my teachers and friends LOVED my hat. Thanks for sharing the tutorial! - Richard's daughter
Toni - Thank you so much for sharing your incredibly pretty patterns and creating this very well-explained tutorial! Can't wait to begin this project. HUGS!
I went to JoAnns and they no longer carry this yarn. I purchased another brand but it's not as soft. I'm almost done with my hat. I love muscle memory as I used it for this project!! Love this pattern!! Thank you for showing us how to make it and going at a pace I could keep up with. You are great!!
OMG! I've always wondered why some 'in the round' hats turn, and some keep working in the same direction. Thanks for clarifying why you are turning!!!!! You're a fabulous teacher!
Love this pattern. I new crocheting. Will need a bit more practice before challenging myself to do this. But it’s first on my list todo once I’m a bit more comfortable with crocheting.
I thought of you and your lovely chunky pattern 🙂 standing in line at Hobby Lobby and saw those hats for sale in the front of the store. And I've been dying to make this 💙 Ran back and grabbed a lovely Blue chunky yarn. Thank you again for sharing your time and Talent 💫
Oh my you are a wonderful teacher. I was taught how to crochet from my grandma and I never learned how to read a written pattern. I simply don't seem to comprehend it for whatever reason but watching and listening as you make the different stitches is working fantastic for me. Thank you so very much for explaining and demonstrating them. I am totally getting it!! I will definitely be making this as soon as I can get the proper size hooks and yarn. 🕊️🙏❤️ God Bless! P.S. I'm now a subscriber to your channel. I just found you quite by chance today.
I love this hat, so I'll be checking to see if I have any bulky 5 in my stash. The only thing that caught my attention was that towards the end of the round when doing the popcorn stitches that section looks "bare " to bad another popcorn couldn't have been put in there somehow. Love it anyway, will be making it. Thank you for the tutorial.
Love this and you explained so good! I’m new and just started 3 weeks ago and did 2 infinity scarfs so far and working on a blanket and want to try this next!
Just finished making my first hat ever!! Great tutorial. Great instructions. I held my breath at the end when I was pulling the last loop and it actually closed up!!!
I'm just learning how to "creatively" crochet and love your tutorials; but I am not at all liking the cable stitch in this hat. I thought FP/BP was hard, but this cable stitch make them look like cheesecake. I am going to put a crocheted flower from another UA-cam crochet artist on the top, I think that would look so cute. Love
Hi Toni…. I love this pattern. What is the multiple you used? I am using #4 weight yarn with 5 and 6mm hooks… HELP! It’s way too small. Thanks for your help.
Love this design, the only problem was video was to far away to see where you were placing your stitches. Close up was only done towards the end of the video. Also for those of us that are new to crochet and all of her terms, like half double crochet etc being able to see up closer would have made a better instructional video. Would love to see this video redone with the entire project being done closer up. Also slowing down in areas that change to a new stitch would also be most helpful too, at least for three or four stitches as to grasp a good idea of how they are done before speeding back up again, would be most helpful. The over all finished project is absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing. Looking g forward to the new and improved video so I can make this project. Thanks
Hi Toni, I love you and your beautiful work especially your Tunisian crochet. I have been in love with Tunisian crochet since I was a kid, I’m so glad I have found your tutorials. This little hat is so cute, I would love to make it a bit smaller what is the multiples that this pattern is worked in?
It's multiples of 5 plus 6. 5 for the main part. 2 for the two extra post stitches, and then 2 hdc on the beginning of the round and at the end. I hope that helps :)
Hi, the video and teaching was excellent. I have a question. If I want to do the ribbed part with slip stich, how many rows should I do? will the number of popcorns change? thank you so much
Thanks for making this video, I've never gotten past the first row of popcorn stitches! I've tried three times. Is there a reason you don't make a popcorn stitch at the end of the row instead of the wide gap?
I'm happy it's helpful! Since the hat slouches anyway, I wanted to prevent additional bulk in the back. You can absolutely adjust it to add a popcorn in the back :-)
Hello...so..I. wondering if there is a way u could slou down just a bit on this tutorial..I'm pretty new at crochet but would love to learn to make this adorable beanie..
This hat is sooo beautiful!! By chance did you happen to create a modified pattern with a top down version? I would love to make this hat using your single crochet ribbed technique.
This is sooo cute! Is the popcorn stitch optional? Also, do you know if Loops and Threads: Camden Wool Roving yarn would work? The weight is 5 and it’s 80 acrylic/20 wool. Thank you!♥️
I'm glad the video is helpful. Are you watching it on your phone, by chance? While the hat is small, it's pretty zoomed in. Watching on a tablet or computer might help :-)
@@elizabethrosario8273 if you are on your phone click the box looking thing in bottom right hand corner. It makes it turn sideways and it's bigger. The click the 3 dots in the top right hand corner and you can slow the video down
I'm using thinner yarn than you did so I have more than 61 stitches when I finish my brim. How can I still make the rest of your pattern work? Do I need to have any odd number of stitches? A certain multiple?
@@p1nky921 I used a weight 4yarn w/a 4.5mm hook and the brim turned out well, it would have been nicer w/a couple more rows but then that funky back part between popcorn would be wider and that’s not good. I used a 5.5mm hook for the top, it turned out perfect
I started making this, but it appears huge to me. Makes me wonder if my 5wt yarn is really a 6wt. Why the gap, why not another bobble? I must have missed something my cables don’t meet up like yours do.

This a great pattern do you think it would be for a good cowl ? Or would it be too heavy. Thanks
It might get quite heavy with a cowl. Perhaps drop to a lighter yarn, or do more rows without popcorns in between.

Hermoso trabajo, gracias por compartir 😍
I used the same weight yarn and the right hook and mine is coming out huge.
Mine came out huge, too! And I’m usually a tight crocheter
I think she is using a thicker yarn ? I am doing it too and mine is huge - I am going to change needles
You're amazing!!

Is it possible to make this smaller for a child? I’m fairly new to crochet so this will be my first hat. I’m half done with the adult size. Thanks 😊
I have a question: I'm a tight crocheter, should I still use the 2 hooks size or just go with the 6mm for the whole beanie?
Thank you!

Yarn subs? I need to know the length of the yummy so I can try to get enough yarn. Thanks!
