Shalom my friends, this is Simcha Hochbaum of Hebron. This Shabbat is Shabbat HaGadol. We all know that every prophecy that was needed for all generations was written down in the 24 books of the prophets.
The prophecy that wasn't needed despite the fact that there was so many thousands of prophets wasn't written down.
The last words we read this Shabbat in the Haftara when God tells the prophet Malachi: I’m going to send you Elijah the Prophet.
And what is Elijah the Prophet going to do? He’ll bridge the gap between parents and children.
We’re living in a generation where we want sometimes so much that should live through our children. Certain messages, certain values.
We sometimes feel that no one’s home. On the other side of the coin children feel children feel: sometimes my parents just don't get me. My parents don't understand me. My parents don't relate to what I'm going through.
Seder night is the night when parents and children can sit together and we can share with each other.
To ask a question means you have to be at a certain level of closeness.
This is the night children ask questions and hopefully we parents have answers. This is the night we can also feel comfortable asking our Father in heaven all the questions we had since October 7th and all the questions we have in our own life.
And God willing, we should be able to see in the merit of this place. The patriarchs and matriarchs, the parents and children bridged together the great miracles that we experienced this past Saturday night.
God should continue to take us out of our personal Egypt and our national Egypt.
And Be’ezrat Hashem this Pesach we’ll be eating the korban Pesach together in Jerusalem, the Holy Temple, Amen.
    Shabbat shalom.

Thank you Rabbi. I love your droshas. Your faith and trust in G-d is like water to a thirsty land. It may seem dark with so much fear and hatred around, but while there are still people who are like you, a follower of your forefathers, we know that G-d is not silent. He’s simply listening to everything, to see if we will bear the pain of living with Him in the world that He has been excluded from. And His land that He longs to live in again, but is being pressured to leave again.
I can see that you do live with Him, and you do bear that pain, so we can be blessed by your presence.
May the angels guard you and protect you and your family
