FYI - Charleston Car Videos on UA-cam Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. The back slider helps with wind when the front windows are open. It's nice to have.
You make a valid point on the missing rear window opening.
The middle console front seat option is huge deal. I like the old school bench look also -hard to find these days.
The denim on the side of the seats is nice also.
Thank you Sir! Bought mine 2 weeks ago and up until I saw this video I didn't know about the extra storage below the center console/seat. My salesman was just plain lazy. BTW, I love love love my new Silverado LT.

Middle window allows you to provide temperature control to a camper shell. And toss beer cans out.
You can please some of the people all the time, all the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. You are spot on with your opinions. Others share those same ideas. Nice video. I like how you went over almost every feature, so I don't have to study the owner's manual. I just traded in my Honda Cr-V for an LT today. I will have to remember how to drive a big truck, but it will be more handy than the vehicle I did have.
I'm digging the LT. It seems more practical and functional than a Trailboss for the price.

On long trips I like to put the cooler on the back filled with drinks and when I want a beer I mean a water bottle I would open the back window and reach for one but this truck doesn't have one. Doesn't matter I'm still going to buy one

Any time I haul 16’ trim and I don’t have my trailer, I put it through the back window.
They don’t make these trucks like they use to. Geared towards the weekend warrior/office guy. 3.23 gear ratio to get that fuel mileage everyone wants 5’7” bed, good for a few bags of garbage. I have an 08 with 3.72 gears and a standard 6’ bed. Truck good for Home Depot runs for a few bags of mulch and to get your 20mpg. 7100lbs rowing (yea on flat roads have fun in the hills towing 7k lbs with a 3.23 rear end)
LOL Mark you got that damn right man. Its surly not like the truck's I've been filming the past few days. not sure if you seen those videos yet. These new trucks are nice, but I'd be worried about scratching it up or getting it dirty. Maybe the 2500 series trucks are for getting the job done?

Yes I’ve been looking at them and best part is, is that I can buy a 2500hd wt or lt for the same price of not cheaper than a half ton. Ridiculous. I actually use my truck unlike most these people buying them.
CharlestonCarVideos you don’t have any reviews on a 2019 2500hd GAS? All I see are diesels online. Screw the diesels. Their so choked up with emissions that you can’t even get the fuel mileage like I use to on my early gen diesels.
I had worked for a chevy store doing videos for 8 years. So I'm pretty sure there's some 2500 series truck videos gas & diesel, but that gig ended last year. So I really need to find a new Chevy dealer to let me start filming new trucks again. Its surely something I want todo ASAP. hell maybe this week. Just got to go do it! Thanks Mark and I'll do my best to catch a GAS Silverado 2500 on camera.
its kind of sad to see the direction trucks have taken over the past many years. I think American's just like having a truck weather they use it for what its intended for or not. As you know American Sedan's are being fazed out. Crossovers, SUV and Trucks are taking over.
Just a word of caution - the new 2019 Silverado-Sierra twins can’t be ordered or does Not come with the power brake and foot pedal adjuster. This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...I own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature......why?

the Rpm dash is Great how it is. i love it. and love that old school look. Like Its everything you need to see. It gives it that straight to the point feel. And not all that extra shit. im all good on that. It gives it that truck feel. i dont care about technology shit. just give me a beast ass truck to off road in. Or haul if needed. And this truck is all of that. And i love the bench feel too. You get that more space. i hope they never get rid of it and put the sifter gears/claim shifter on the center. that would suck. i love that its on the steering wheel. Again, it gives it that truck feel. I cant wait to get mine next month.
Definitely the 2018 dash z71 looks way better with carbon fiber accent... To me anyway

Thanks for the video. Just got my TrailBoss LT last night. Only MAJOR issue is they stole the aux port if you get the bench. Maybe I'm just blind, but I can't find it. If it's somewhere in that model, I'd love to know where. Thanks again!

Yes but you have to go up a certain trim to get the powered seats, I have a 2019 Silverado 1500 Z71 so it has powered seats.

thats great to know. Thanks Seventh Studio! It seems like they would of offered it before on previous year models. Push Start has been around for a while now.
@@CarolinaCarVideos I think Chevy this year is finally starting to innovate some, but they were still behind on the start button, and they need to up their interior design. Honestly, I was really surprised about how boring about the gauge cluster design is. I like the analog gauges, but the tac on this truck doesn't even span the whole dial, and isn't sporty at all. My '16 Z71 cluster is awesome, IDK why they dumbed it down so much for '19. maybe they'll fix it for '20.
@@TheDex302 I just can't believe they STILL don't have heads-up display! Camaros have had it now for 10 YEARS!!! I hate driving without heads-up display! It's a safety feature and in my opinion, EVERY GM car should have it!

All that new technology underdeveloped, not tested. In most vehicles infotainment system not responsive. Navigation is useless, aftermarket navigation much better. Truck should be truck. I think this trim for Silverado is just fine.
I know people say that these interiors are cheap, I don't think so, I like them. Very OPEN
@Stephen McCoughan They’ve gotten better, but they’re still extremely cheap & terrible. Just feel the dash & you can see for yourself, it’s awful.
I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty disappointed they got rid of the dedicated sunglasses holder. I rented an 18 model earlier this year and it had one above the rear view mirror area. Oh well, I'm a Ford guy anyway.
2wd..🤮 I've got the 2019 Z71. The seats are the WORST seats I've EVER come across! 100 miles and my girlfriend and I BOTH were hurting from sitting!

GM totally missed the mark in 2019. Their interior is stuck in 2009. They are now #3 in sales and will stay that way until they change their design team. Even the new GMC tailgate hits the receiver hitch. GM spent millions bragging about how great their new tailgate was and it had a major design flaw. Just a small example of how GM needs to make serious changes. The exterior and interior of the new Ram punched GM in the mouth! I challenge anyone to test drive both and review both.... I only have owned GMs for the past 15 years and I've had more issues than all my buddies have had with their rams. Can't knock Rams quality anymore and now it's up to GM to respond back because Ram will stay #2 if they don't. Ram wins in every single category over GM.
@yfzjoe Maybe every category except for price, and that is one of the biggest things to consider to many buyers, and the biggest concern for most buyers out there. Chevy's interior may have older style components, but they still function and do everything that a driver and passengers need. It may not have all the technology (the LT model) as other brands, but when you compare similar options with Chevy, Ford, and Dodge then its easy to know that Chevy is also cheaper in the overall price. If interior and technology is all people buy their trucks for now days then yeah don't get a Chevy, but using it for work, camping, hunting, etc. it does great. If you are wanting all the cameras and other technology get the High Country or GMC Denali. For those who do not need a vehicle with all the 'greatest, and new' technology then save your money and get the Chevy. Use that extra money for something else. That's my 2 cents.

Supa Doopa I saw the button for it in the center under the radio and climate controls. However every video I’ve seen the light is on on the button which generally indicates it’s off. I’m wondering if they have either gotten in the habit of hitting that button or if by some chance, Chevy may’ve made it to where it stays off which I would love.
The goverment is requiring it on all vehicles kinda like with backup cameras. I dont like this feature.
@@Hey_its_Koda yeah. I wish they'd roll some of that stuff back. I think it's pretty stupid. Where I live you're usually stopped for just a few seconds so you're not getting the use out of it. If they want to include it, I'd say just make it a switch that can be on or off with a switch that stays how it is. Why can't they just sell the car with the feature on and then you get in it and turn it off as soon as you bought it. Is there some extra government regulation stopping that from getting that little MPG inflation?
You can turn it off with a button push. He just didn't cover that. Just bought TrailBoss LT standard bed with bench last night.

I hate that they took the large hinged bin out of the dash. Now theres no good spot for loose change or other items. Those little trays in the center console are useless. I really miss my 2016 Silverado center console. Better layout. No 110v outlet, one USB port. This interior sucks. Love everything else.
GM is just too conservative on their interior layouts. compare this to a 5 year old F150 and the new Ram,GM is dead last.the days of the, "dollar general" interior is over and people pay good money for luxury. The column lever looks dated.oh and 6'1 is not,"average" for a man..what planet,you come from? maybe 5'9-5'11 but not 6'1.

Yeah the ram blows the Silverado and Sierra out of the water! The 2019 GMs are pretty much a slightly updated 2009 model. I've only owned GMs but my next truck will be a ram. They built a solid truck
@@jackpinekid1 GMs, Dodge & Ford all have their issues... GM has actually outsourced more parts from China than Ram. Also according to the professional reviews Ram is top of the line...
