Csanad121 It is also mentioned in the novel; Darksiders: The Abomination Vault, as Death revealed that it was his idea to create Grand Abominations, living weapons of mass destruction, from the flesh and bones of the Ravaiim, the first race to fall before Absolom's forces. After millenia of war, hoping to gain the title of Kingdom, humans emerge and were promised Eden, Heaven's First Gift. Believing that Eden should be long to them (an idea likely fed by Lilith), they tried to reclaim Eden. But Death, Fury, Strife and War had grown a conscious to what their race had been doing and pledged loyality to the Council, hoping for redemption. Instead, Death and his siblings were tasked with leading Heaven's forces and kill the Nephilim, and later destroy their soul. But this wasn't Death wanted, he killed their bodies and collected their souls but in the end, he couldn't bring himself to destroy the amulet. Instead he bargained it with Crowfather, and got Dust as a reminder of their deal.

It also has a fine sense of dark humor.
Through the whole game War has done everything himself, he brought down the Destroyer and his followers more or less by himself. Then in the end of the game everyone is reminded once again that he's only one of four and the other three are coming to join their brother.
Don’t forget Spoiler alert: They will also probably be accompanied by the makers and humans. The makers will probably make weapons for the humans for they could have a fighting chance It’s going to be quite the show
He is following the order. That’s not the main problem. The main problem is he was enjoying doing that sh*tty job.It means he is no less than the council.
I wonder if this means FIVE Darksiders games are planned? The fourth game would naturally follow Strife since he's the last of the four not to get a game. And then a fifth game will wrap up the story by playing as all four.
I remember playing this and back then I knew I just finished watching a legendary cutscene, it holds true to this day, everything they did was so perfect. the build up, the music, the progression in the game and feeling STRONG, the script and the dialogue and the pinnacle ending of using just 3 words that were the climax of the entire thing. they captured it all so perfectly. I think this game is so good because it talks about our human nature and our human weakness. I want a movie!
A classic case of a story where there was clearly never any idea or intention of its continuation so the next 3 games are all prequels. Which is tragic as Darksiders is incredibly good.
just finished Darksiders 3, came back to watch this scene! cannot wait for the 4th with solo Strife story then hopefully a 5th as the epic conclusion with the 4 bringing balance!

@@HeythemMD Actually darksiders 2 and 3 happen and the same time and both take place before 1. Deaths sacrifice is the reason that War is released from his 100 year imprisonment.
This was and still is my favorite ending to any game, it’s just sooo badass, all Hell is about to break loose, and not to mention the amazing credits song after this scene!
after playing 2 and 3 i love how they set up the seqaul to this and its story in a way that each horseman's story in the "prequal/parallels" has info that would spoil stuff in the game before it but instead with how they have come out adds to and fills in blanks of the story. i cant wait till Darksiders 5 to see what happens after this scene.

Instead he bargained it with Crowfather, and got Dust as a reminder of their deal.

I really can recomment it, it is a good story, the characters (both old and new) are great and it really capture the feeling of the character. It also has a fine sense of dark humor.
I live in Australia and I'm not sure we have stuff like this, but I'll check Amazon. Thanks it sounds epic :D
Man I begging for Darksiders 3 right now.
same dude we need darksiders 3 we need to see wht happens next
YES BRUH REALLY SAME.
It's coming
FTxNatsuz3z I SAW THE TRAILER AND IM SO FUCKING HYPE RIGHT NOW.
OOOOOOOOOOOO00O0O00OL0
Epic game , epic ending
I wish I was a horseman😞😟
They have an army.
I have siblings.
After 11 years this is still the most badass endings for a video game
It is 2024. I'm still waiting for a game to follow up the immense amount of hype the ending of Darksiders 1 delivered.
Get ready bois, Darksiders 5 is on it's way.
Through the whole game War has done everything himself, he brought down the Destroyer and his followers more or less by himself. Then in the end of the game everyone is reminded once again that he's only one of four and the other three are coming to join their brother.
Don’t forget
Spoiler alert:
They will also probably be accompanied by the makers and humans. The makers will probably make weapons for the humans for they could have a fighting chance
It’s going to be quite the show
@@jonathanm9986really hope for it
"I was just following orders."
Man, this excuse never works.
He is following the order. That’s not the main problem. The main problem is he was enjoying doing that sh*tty job.It means he is no less than the council.
2021 here, still waiting for the sequel to this saga
I wonder if this means FIVE Darksiders games are planned? The fourth game would naturally follow Strife since he's the last of the four not to get a game. And then a fifth game will wrap up the story by playing as all four.
Well, it would be six games now with Darksider Genesis being some sort of Prequel.
One of the best game endings ever and the best game in the franchise.
It is unreal how epic every single part of this game is......u just wanna see more and MORE! GIVE US MORE!!!
war has such a great voice yet he has also few dialogues.
each time i hear, i remember illidan from warcraft
“No, not alone!” One of the BEST endings in entertainment! Almost best than Hulk Hogan turning into Hollywood Hulk Hogan!!!!!
Man I still come back and watch this from time to time, one of the best game endings in my life, "not alone" gets me everytime
looking back after all darksiders games, I found war is the most brutal of them. dude rips abandon's wings, squashes watcher's head. damn son
A classic case of a story where there was clearly never any idea or intention of its continuation so the next 3 games are all prequels.
Which is tragic as Darksiders is incredibly good.
2020 and still waiting..............
just finished Darksiders 3, came back to watch this scene! cannot wait for the 4th with solo Strife story then hopefully a 5th as the epic conclusion with the 4 bringing balance!
The seal is broken and Death will come. I wait a long time to see you again.
It was pretty freakin sweet. I finally remember to record the scenes on my third play through
This ending still gives me massive chills and this game came out nearly TEN FREAKING YEARS AGO! I'm just glad they followed up Darksiders with 2, 3 and Genesis. I love War and Strife's relationship in the new game. Shows more lore and history between the Riders.
Wonder if we’ll ever get a sequel to this lovely cliffhanger
"Uriel I may be asked to point my blade against you"
Dont point it against war when furys around doll because your guts will be pulled out through your halo then 😂😂😂😂😂
Like WOW the writing in this game, the feel and graphics... No lowest common denominator talk.
No,not alone...moments later darksiders 2=forever alone
+Michelos Belmont Actually, darksiders 2 takes place the same time these events unfold, which mean that they're probably going to continue the story in Darksiders 3...
Michelos Belmont maybe 4 or 5 ....
Darksiders 3 actually ends up taking place during wars 100 year imprisonment by the charred council
@@Darkex72 these comments are years old man...
@@HeythemMD Actually darksiders 2 and 3 happen and the same time and both take place before 1. Deaths sacrifice is the reason that War is released from his 100 year imprisonment.
YOUUUU ARE NOT PREPARED!
Come down
Holy shit I never realized!!!!
Illidan Warrage
This was and still is my favorite ending to any game, it’s just sooo badass, all Hell is about to break loose, and not to mention the amazing credits song after this scene!
after playing 2 and 3 i love how they set up the seqaul to this and its story in a way that each horseman's story in the "prequal/parallels" has info that would spoil stuff in the game before it but instead with how they have come out adds to and fills in blanks of the story. i cant wait till Darksiders 5 to see what happens after this scene.
This game and Darksiders 2 are two of my favourite games this gen. I really hope that any future installments are able to live up to these games. This is one of the best endings that I've seen in a game. Chills every damn time I watch it.
You can see that Fury is the most eager in the last scene. Now, she can unleash her vengance upon Heaven and Hell.
God if they ever decide to finish the series with the great war against the council, I hope to God it's as good as DS1 or 2
Damn. Just finished the game after too many years. Finished it like 5 minutes ago. Chills to say the least. When you see the other Horseman falling from the sky it is like: OH YOU KNOW WHO'S GONNA GET THEIR ASS KICKED SO GOOD
With all the stuff that's happened in 2 and 3, and with 4 coming up, the story has been fun
0:45 - 1:00 We gonna talk about Abbadon's "She mistook me for... someone else." And all that?
Like I felt really bad for him in that moment, before he just tosses her away
Looking back after playing both games (Never got to finish DS2 though) Fury seems to be the one at the front which is fitting considering she has probably been waiting for this moment a long time now after the ending of Darksiders 3
Just finished 1. Ending really surprised me how epic it was. About to start 2.
One of the greatest endings in gaming history
The hair around my body raises up everytime I see the ending. I hope a massive ending to the story.
Most bad ass ending ever
who comes here because of the darksiders 3 announcement? And get goose bum at the near ending?
Me too
Just finished replaying darksiders 1, onto 2 next :D
I choose what once a coward did not.
Epic speech right there.
Someday we will get the ending game we deserve
One of the most epic video game endings I've ever experienced.
