I’m coming to Quebec 🇨🇦 in two days and this was SO GREAT! It showed the beauty, gave details, and the whale 🐳 watching brought me to tears! Whales have been my obsession since my mom took me to a museum with an amazing whale 🐋 exhibit! My husband was skeptical that it would be a good use of time bc of the travel and limited time. But once he saw this, and me crying, it sealed the deal!!! Thank u!

I love going to Quebec City. It's not only a very picturesque place to visit, it's a great place for me to really practice my French. The local university (Université Laval) has a top-notch French Immersion program, I highly recommend studying there (and any full-time students attending a Canadian university out there, remember that the federal government has a program called Explore, where you get to study French for 5 weeks, and your room, board, and food are covered, all on the government's dime!).
Génial! so nice to meet someone else who did the summer explore program! I did mine in Trois Rivières.
I've never been to Charlevoix, I have mainly stayed in the Bellechasse/Qc areas, as those are where most of my ancestors came from... planning to take three weeks next summer to see ancestral homes near Kamouraska and hopefully to revisit Louisbourg and my Acadian roots, at Port Royale (Annapolis Royal), where my 9th Grt Granfather, General Doucette, was the Governor.
Watching this made me smile and recall beautiful memories in Quebec City 💕 .. Thanks Mark such a beautiful vlog

For the Chateau Frontenac a few traveling compagnies bought spaces in the Chateau and they renting it. they have their own restaurants boutiques etc. Inside you can visit. For thee poutine it was first made in 1950 around Warwick city and not Quebec city. People used to drive hundreds of miles to taste them :) Quebec city is where I live and I love it
he is not wrong in what he is saying though that it was brought to Quebec City by Ashton's franchise.

That is amazing, I never got the chance to go there, but one day hopefully. Mark, what gear (not for photo and video) would you recommend to have on those hikes, including clothing?
The hikes aren't that elevated so you don't really need any special gear to be honest. It was really muddy when I went becuase it just rained, otherwise just good hiking shoes I guess :)
Maybe some warms clothes now that it's freezing out haha

Will be there in a little over 2 weeks can't wait great small city! Also doing Montreal on this trip too cool! You'll visit Quebec soon go eat at St.hubert resto or express chicken so good locations all over the province! In Montreal west island city Pointe Claire go eat at Bar B Barn only location best ribs I ever had so good! Used to be a downtown Montreal location,but it closed down after 50 years of service sad. Forget the poutine check out these places to eat I said!
