I'm studying abroad in Quebec City for my fall semester and your video is the most informative travel video I've come across on UA-cam. You guys did a good job balancing your screen time between touristy places that make up the city's culture vs. the local haunts that makes this city come alive. I probably wouldn't have known about half of the cool spots here if I didn't watch this video. Cheers, keep up the good work! PS: Can confirm that Bureau de Poste is the best!
I visited quebec city for a day tour but it was during the winter so unfortunately not much was going on. However it was my first time seeing snow (im from the tropics) and the city was magical. While English Canada might tell you the french are snobs, tbh once you're a tourist they don't care. Many people are fluent in English. I swear it's one of North America's best kept secrets! Very magical city!
My family and I just came back from Quebec City and I wish I had watched this before our trip!!!! We did go some of those places and had fun though. Subscribed for our next trip! Great job!

it's not frozen maple syrup, it's taffy at that point. To make maple syrup they boiled water extracted from maples in spring. if you keep boiling it you get maple taffy which we call tire locally. if you keep boiling it you will end up with a sugar crystals that have that natural maple taste. Water from a maple tree in spring is just extremely rich is sugar and we are basically just removing the water. you can make anything that you make with white cane sugar but it comes with minerals and flavors from the tree. 100% pure maple syrup is expensive so you will often find fake maple syrup in restaurants even in the province of Quebec where the most amount of maple syrup is produce in the world. fake maple syrup taste acidic because they are all variant of the same recipe which is less then 1/4 real maple syrup and the rest being corn syrup and acidic powders to change the taste of the liquid. The acidic powders are popular in the candy making industry so fake maple syrup taste a bit like candy
@@chasbruns I just stumbled on your channel but If you go in Scandinavian countries and eastern Europe ones, so like Russian and Finland, you can find birch syrup which is made like maple syrup but it is more expensive. Apparently we make some in Canada and in the US but it's probably way more expensive here because i only heard of it from a finish friend.

it's not frozen maple syrup, it's taffy at that point.
The acidic powders are popular in the candy making industry so fake maple syrup taste a bit like candy
thanks for the info
@@chasbruns I just stumbled on your channel but If you go in Scandinavian countries and eastern Europe ones, so like Russian and Finland, you can find birch syrup which is made like maple syrup but it is more expensive. Apparently we make some in Canada and in the US but it's probably way more expensive here because i only heard of it from a finish friend.
awesome thanks
Good One brother ✅👌
