    Story wise, Continuity is a process that the Orokin used to transfer their minds from one body to another utilizing Kuva

    • @oblivionslegacy
      @oblivionslegacy  Місяць тому

      So that would make the new body's mind cease to exist, right? Or do they co-exist and one just can't do anything?

      @ the way they invade the new body is by driving the original host mad, so that there's no way for them to fight back.

    The choices you make aren't necessarily related to evil or good, its more like yin or yang, which side of you embrace, emotion or logic, perhaps the mix of two.

    If you go into the mods on the broken scepter and look up in the top left you can see the unique trait of the weapon. With the scepter I believe it allows you to suck health and energy orbs out of dead bodies. Orvius does the "hover of target head" thing, and there are a bunch more out there with special powers.
    Yes you can now use you operator with it's new skills in any mission. To start of you're pretty weak, but you gain a whole boatload of new powers by progressing your Focus Schools. Pay special attention to the waybound perks, once they're fully unlocked they apply across ALL focus schools for things like more operator HP, energy, etc. Waybounds should be first priority to up your operator gameplay.
    Argon crystals evaporate after two days if they're not used, just gotta go farm a new one.
    The cutscene at the end of the quest with the withered Grineer was supposed to be showing you that the remaining queen has created a Lich to hunt you done. You may notice him in gameplay soon, and I assure you you won't forget him. Annoying a$$ dudes take over planets, siphoning off your loot until you track him down and banish him. It's an annoyingly long and complicated process that ends up requiring a built railjack to finish. But, if you do track him down and vanquish him, you can either kill him and takes his special enhanced gun that can be levelled up to 40, or you get him as a summon to fight with you.Similarly, I believe "Call of the Tempestari" starts the Sisters of Parvos, the Corpus equivalent of a Kuva Lich, and we're waiting for the infested "lich" right now with Warframe 1999. Apparently the infested liches are going to be in a boy band....
    Great video as always!

      Man I wish I knew about the argon crystals sooner, I had 4 the other day... Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the Waybound skills. I have been working on those ones for the Zenurik tree, but I would not have known they carry over once maxed out.

    With the completion of War Within, congrats! You now unlock Kuva Liches. During certain missions you’ll need to kill a lot of enemies quickly then find the subject, taking them out will show you a weapon, if you like the weapon you can mercy them and you’ll get a bonus damage (valence) based on the Warframe you use (progenitor)
    The whole process of actually completing it is hard so I recommend watching a video. Sisters of Parvos (Corpus Liches) requires Call of the Tempestarii and have a different means to summon (which includes using Xoris)

      One day I will get into the Kuva Liches. It does help knowing I can get cool things for it tho, so I might have to check it out here soon. I might have to try it blind first cuz why not.

    44:05 that's going to be really introduced during the chains of harrow quest, heads up for paranormal activities :P
    oh and also the cutscene at 45:00 doesn't really mean too much lore wise other than you unlocking INSANELY good weapons from things called "kuva liches", no real way to give a tutorial without seeming schizophrenic because the system's nuances are pretty intricate, but really worth learning, though it's very hard for new accounts so yeah you'll probably find out the hard way

      The Kuva liches are indeed a weird mechanic, but is did give us Bopp Bipp.
      Also check the solar system map, the Kuva Fortress is now permanently added as a "moving planet".
      It's been always there, many players have unlocked all nodes, but you just woke up from the War Within, so see the system with fresh eyes

    So congrats on the war within!
    I think the editing is really better with more space for the cutscenes and such, at least i like it more :p
    Oh and some stuff on the whole dream-sequence;
    Straight to it Margulis gave the Tenno Amnesia along with the somatic therapy used to calm us down.
    This of course can be seen as a negative and positive, The trauma of the Zariman ship couldn´t be cured. Imagine your friend´s, classmate´s and your own parent´s Hunting and crazing theyr own children untill you kill them, doubt anyone could come back without blanking it out of theyr mind.
    Teshin is a Dax, pretty much the Elite to guard and serve the Orokin.
    Difference between Tenno and Dax; Dax were purposely augmented by the orokin, along with the controll of it through those augmentations.
    The tenno were an Accident, and merely manipulated to act in theyr favour.
    Interesting bit is in the game things like Mental and spirituality have a real impact, possibly through the Void´s existence Teshin was able to medetate himself to give us this dream to reject the Queen´s Kuva.
    It´s funny, some quest´s are really hard to get into due to this massive lack of knowledge.
    The last quest we got i got massively bumped out cuz the reasoning was just so confusing, and only reading into it you get it, but this still affects the feeling of story and plots way too much.

    - You DID get a reward in those few event fights you ran... but you got mod rewards instead. In fact Magma Chamber is one of the rarest rewards from the event if I recall correctly! (Unless the rates have been buffed). It's a 60/60 status/heat mod for either archguns or archmelee (forget which).
    - Everytime the event comes back you'll be able to re-run it for another potato and 200k credits. Over time you'll end up with extras of all the wraith parts and will eventually be able to sell or give away sets.
    - The bug was very strange but you didn't miss anything. Right where you failed, you were only a step or two away from the screen fading to black and cutting to the mountaintop anyway. Oh well...
    - And now you have your first true Stealth ability! Void mode. You are not immune to lasers (and will still trip them even if you void-dash through them), but you no longer have to worry about cameras or guards in spy and rescue vaults (as long as you find safe spots to let your energy recharge). Also note: you are invulnerable in void mode, so this is a safe way to revive your pets or hack consoles. (your parazon mods don't apply while in operator, so if you have hack-related ones you should still hack as your frame if possible). Last cool detail: in excavation type missions where you have to carry items? You can have your frame pick one up, exit to Space-kid mode, pick up ANOTHER item, run/dash to your destination as the kid, drop off the item, switch back to your frame to teleport it to you and have the 1st item you picked up still in your hand.
    - "Was that all in my head?" You mean it was a "WAR WITHIN???" 😉
    - So a bit of clarification on the Lore you just heard. The Orokin were masters of bio-tech (as I've mentioned before). One element of this is that they found a method of immortality they called "Continuity" using a substance called Kuva (more explained other places in game, so I'll let you find that on your own). What this did was it essentially allowed them to transfer their entire mind and personality into a new body by killing and overwriting the mind of the person living in it. The Queens were Survivors of the Orokin fall who continued their Continuity through the use of cloned Grineer bodies, but like the rest of the Grineer they too were feeling the pain of centuries of accumulated clone-rot and mutations. They wanted the body of a Tenno: fresh, nigh-immortal already, and with void powers they assumed they'd inherit.
    - The cut-scene with the grineer being dragged before the Worm Queen was the intro to the "Nemesis" system of Warframe. It is now possible to spawn a "Kuva Lich" enemy who will slowly steal a *very* small amount of your resources from missions on the single planet they control until you go through a slightly complex process to defeat them. As a reward you will be given their weapon: a "Kuva" variant of a weapon (like the "wraith" version of the gorgon you just got). These Kuva weapons have far higher base stats, can be leveled to rank 40 if you put in a total of 5 forma, and a few of them rank as some of the best guns in the game. That being said, the whole process is a little tedious and will likely require either help or somewhat better modding than you currently have access to, so this is another system I'd suggest setting aside as a "fun thing to come back to later" once you're better prepared or have help once/if you stop going full solo. There's no real story tied to them now you're past the War Within, so there's not really any spoilers to worry about if you want to look up how they work and how to interact/avoid the system. If you want to TRY your hand at them, feel free. You lose nothing permanently (anything they steal will be returned once you beat them eventually).
    - Broken Scepter doesn't have an upgraded version. It's just called that because you ripped the kuva out at the end of the quest, It has decent status chance, but the damage spread is poor. The only real reason to use it is for it's passive ability (top left in the mod screen) or the fact that it comes with a free potato installed (but the Broken War does too and it's a better *weapon* than the scepter).

      Man I was thinking of making that War Within the head joke the whole time, but I for some reason I didn't lol. I haven't looked into the Kuva Liches yet, but just from the small amount that I heard, it doesn't sound fun and I will definitely look up a tutorial when it comes to that. But that is far down on my list for now.

    • @Fyrefrye
      @Fyrefrye Місяць тому +1

      @@oblivionslegacy Many players "optimize the fun out" of Lichs... they're so concerned about killing them in the minimal amount of time with as little interaction with the actual mechanics as possible that they don't realize they've largely ruined their own experience.
      - The missions are higher level than most content (80s to mid 100s in enemy level), but they're primarily a gear/mod check.
      - there's RNG involved in which "key mods" you get from the special relics, but each one has 3 uses, and you only ever need a random 3 at a time. So just farm them when you feel like it or when you find out you NEED one specific one.
      - spawning used to be way worse. you can now "choose" what weapon you get and guarantee it's bonus element based on the frame you use to spawn the Lich the first time (explaining this is what a guide or the wiki is mostly for. unless you need help with damage/surviving)
      - They really don't take too much so even ignoring them for a while won't be anything more than a minor annoyance
      - If you ever played the boardgame "Mastermind" or something similar, you'll already understand that there's very straightforwards logic behind how solve the "key mod order" puzzle.
      - Lich's have elemental weaknesses, and you can check that in their "main screen". Setting your weapon(s) to deal that damage type can serve as a fairly sizable bonus

      @@Fyrefrye I think I understand a little bit more now, and it honestly doesn't seem too bad anymore other than the level and possibility of failing. I bet I could probably do it after I get a crap ton more endo for my mods lol.

    • @Fyrefrye
      @Fyrefrye Місяць тому +1

      @@oblivionslegacy "failing" is only individual missions that cost no resources and can be re-run infinitely until you succeed. Don't forget that enemy level has NO correlation to YOUR level or the mastery of your frames and gear. Enemies scale all the way to level 9999 while your gear only goes from level 0-30 (with a few specific examples like Lich weapons and Necramechs going to 40 with enough invested forma). Now, you'll never actually SEE enemies at that level unless you intentionally go LOOKING for them (in very long endless missions. many hours in), but doing "level cap runs" is a part of the 100% optional endgame of WF. I've never done it, but some people do to test themselves and their builds.
