    Oblivion mate you are in for a ride now. The New war and the next quests are the core of Warframe's main story. Soon you will feel like you are playing a different game. Trust me you will. Wont spoil it for you mate. Thanks for posting, love your video.
    Also btw prime Warframes were the original Warframe's created by the orokin who fought in the old war. So if you see all the Warframes in the old war sequence are prime Warframes.
    Would recommend you check in with the lore in the wiki page if you have not been doing so. The story is a really intricate and beautiful one.

      As soon as I got access to the operator I thought the game was already a new game, lol. As always thanks for the kind words, and I will take you up on the recommendation to read the wiki page. I will go do that now, thanks!

      @@oblivionslegacy CorgTheMighty is a good loremaster regarding the game. If you're ever confused by a part of the story, he most likely has made a lore 101 video about it.

      @benjaminchristiansen4129 cool, I will have to check the channel out. Thanks for the suggestion!

    - When the quest came out, we were expected to craft the Paracesis but this was quickly changed (the prelude came out so far before the main quest I believe we had 1-2 years to build it)
    - The mastery requirement on the Shedu is a bit high, but it requires either trading for the parts, or running specific special versions of the highest level Railjack missions WITH the Paracesis and destroying a specific structure only it can damage to drop the parts. Sooooo, there wasn't much of a chance for you to craft it quickly to begin with and even us Vets took a bit of effort to farm it.
    - There's a lot hinted at in the cutscenes for the Prelude to War, but I don't want to say much until after the full quest is over.
    - Ballas is alive because Natah/the sentients saved his life after we stabbed him on Earth at the end of the Sacrifice. This turned him partly into a sentient (no explanation as to why or how, but once again I will repeat one of my old lines: nearly all Orokin tech is biotech. Including the Sentients. Sooooo fusions of biology and sentient tech make some sense for a life-saving medical procedure)
    - Ah yes. Everyone's reactions to "Kahl of Duty" are always great.
    - Something to think about, every section of the New War is in some way structured like a "test" of the various core gameplay mechanics throughout Warframe. The first of which is your ability as a player to be repeatedly handed a new "frame"(a character with a set of abilities and weapons) and to figure out on the fly how to make their kit work.
    - Kahl tests basic combat including weakpoints, waypoint objectives, use of cover, and (if you're observant) the presence of environmental tools like ammo stations and turrets to make the mission easier.
    - Veto tests your ability to... use abilities to complete tasks you cannot do by default as well as the basic form of Warframe puzzles (find the combination of environmental interactions to get past an obstacle or objective). It also tests your ability to LISTEN TO DIALOGUE because almost every single step is described by the characters. So that immediately means half the players hate this section because it doesn't make sense... they just aren't used to actually listening for answers and it SHOWS.
    - Teshin mainly covers parkour and melee combat (including the "need" to sometimes build for elemental resistances).
    - A couple things to note about the ending of this episode. You should go re-watch your video on the intro quest for Duviri as you have now just witnesed the moment Teshin was sent into the void (with that mask and he didn't know "if he was alive or dead at the time"... answer: dead). You have also seen how Lotus lost her hand, and have seen that hand fall into the void where it became the "Meteor" from the Duviri cutscene. And lastly, you have now seen the "other side" of the voice line from the intro execution sequence when the phantom-paracesis stabbed the drifter through his chest. As you have finished the whole quest it is safe to say here that canonically the Duviri Paradox happens right "here" in the primary timeline between when the Operator is stabbed by Ballas and the following cutscene. I'll go into more detail as the quest continues, but if you have questions please ask for clarification. There's a LOT you could easily miss and some events, side missions, or optional dialogues you have not covered in a video and I therefore do not know if you experienced them.

      Honestly I think the only thing I have experience dialogue wise not in a video would probably be Knozu after the New War. Anyway I just watched a side by side of the New War and Duviri Paradox and that's actually crazy. I was not expecting that at all. It makes all this seem even better to me. The "Tests" parts also make sense when it comes to Veko. It explains why I had some trouble when just charging into the enemies like I did with Kahl. I have been sticking quite close to the wiki with most of my lore questions, especially when it came to Teshin dying so I do know about that as well.

      @@oblivionslegacy Next thing to go watch/play: The Ropololyst fight on Jupiter. It's a prequel to the New War and the dialogue in the quest is Natah giving her personal backstory and telling you about her parents. I might even suggest you make a video on that dialogue or your first time running that boss. The new Amp you got from the New War quest (Sirroco) should be enough to deal with the phase of the boss that requires Operator damage, and it is another fight where you'll need to listen to the dialogue to get hints about what to do next... and then hope not to run into a glitch. A lot of them have been fixed, but the fight is still frustrating even for a vet who knows what's happening.

    Good stuff. Same immediate like of Kahl, same “Okay Veso ain’t a bad dude” in the end. Also, that Rhino that dropped the shotgun only died because he wasn’t managing his energy economy. Keep my energy filled and I’ll tank God for the drops.
    I think one of the things veteran players like seeing is someone making it through the initial slog of the MASSIVE early game to experience some of the real story payoffs. Like watching an anime and the first three seasons are “character building” before it all explodes in season 4. Pretty soon we’ll be seeing you running around along the edges of the void itself, or even in the distant past.

      Gotta say they really do character building right, compared to other movies, shows, and games. I'm definitely liking where the game is going.

    Just gonna point out a couple things.
    The sword Ballas gives you, Paracesis, is actually a really nice sword. It also has some unique interactions with Forma. Definitely worth grabbing. Shedu is also very strong but much harder to farm for.
    Speaking of Paracesis, you don't need Baro Ki'teer to turn prime parts into ducats, you can do that anytime by interacting with the terminal in the Relay. You only need Baro to be around if you wish to spend your ducats. The terminal will also tell you how long it'll be until his next visit.
    Don't fret too much on the lore behind Ballas. The Prelude to War and the New War all took place over like 2 real life years and during that time it felt like they wanted to take Ballas one was, then they changed their mind. Just know Ballas is an asshole, no matter how you look at it.
    Finally, that final scene with Ballas shares some similarities with the Duviri Paradox quest, like the hand the Drifter finds being Lotus's hand or the spectral sword he gets inpaled with being Ballas's even down to the "You can't kill the devil, but you can send it back to hell" there is a video on UA-cam showing a side by side, and it's pretty neat. Even though, in a technical sense, Duviri isn't real, real things and events are capable of seeping into this little pocket of the void. Part of the reason why it is refered to as a Paradox.
    There's more I want to comment of regarding the later parts of the New War since you presumably have finished it by now, but I'll save that for when those episodes go up. :3

      Oh man, I will have to look up that side by side, that sounds interesting. Im gonna be honest, in the prelude to war I just assumed Ballas was having a psychotic break and imagined he was talking to an imaginary friend, lol.

    24:25 "Can a Tenno turn into sentient since Ballas did"
    Sentients are purely mechanical, nanobots that run on cpus that run on electricity sort of stuff. It's just all very futuristic to the point it looks like magic. Ballas basically got cybernetic replacements to fix the damage done by you stabbing him.

    • @Fyrefrye
      @Fyrefrye 10 днів тому +2

      This is post-singularity technology. nearly everything the Orokin did was bio-tech in some way. The sentients are "machines" capable of reproduction and self-improvement. Their "ships" are just larger sentients housing smaller ones inside and are very clearly described as biological in some quest dialogues not yet seen on this channel.

      @@Fyrefrye Do we at all know of the sentients creator, or how they were created?

    • @Fyrefrye
      @Fyrefrye 10 днів тому +2

      @@oblivionslegacy The Sentients were created BY THE OROKIN directly. This is why Lotus called Ballas "a maker". Because he WAS a maker. For what purpose did they make the sentients? They are an entire race built for the singular purpose of teraforming an entire solar system (the Tau Ceti system, the closest star to ours) for the eventual Orokin colonization. The sentients range from Massive space-station sized entities all the way down to small individuals like Natah/Lotus and Erra. In one of the preview quest cutscenes of the New War when it flashes back to the old war and shows Erra's interaction with Natah/Lotus, it briefly shows a Massive ship in the background above a planet being attacked by a fleet of Railjacks. That was Hunhow's full body. That "ship" was Natah's Dad.
      However the Orokin were paranoid to an extreme and designed them with a fatal flaw: void exposure would reproductively sterilize them. They then sent the Sentient fleet the "long way" to Tau (slower than light travel). The Orokin assumed this meant that they were safe from a revolt because the Sentients would not dare use the faster Void-travel to attack the Origin system due to the fear of sterilization. But as we heard from Hunhow when we first met him, they decided attacking the Orokin was the only way to protect what they now perceive as THEIR HOME (Tau) from "invasion" by the Orokin. The entire sentient fleet that came to the Origin system to fight the Old War (and the New War) did so knowing they would never bear children again. This was part of the motivation/temptation for Natah to become the Lotus: it was a chance for her to BE a mother.

      @oblivionslegacy  10 днів тому

      @@Fyrefrye Ooooooh ok yeah that explains a lot then. I thought Ballas was the Maker because of the Warframes, and that does explain Tau. I see a lot about that so I always assumed their origin was strictly from Tau and nothing else. So yeah it makes a lot more sense now.
