I'd love to see you say exactly what you are going for and how you know which base item to start with and watch it turn into something really powerful and specific with each step shown and explained. Also a sort of ingredients list of exactly what it took to make the craft would be cool
I know this is an older vid but I just discovered your channel and you have some great poe content man. You're great at explaining things and you have a chill demeanor. Thanks for the vids
also dont forget that you can reroll only prefix or suffix with harvest (maybe beast too), and remove one prefix and add suffix and such with beast, so you dont have to spend annul + exalt for this too. Use poe craft to know what can roll, helps a lot to target specific affix with fossils, and one of the best advice that helped me a lot : block certain slot (like the last prefix or suffix) or even mods with crafts, that you can remove to get what you want later. Also if you happen to have the mod you want but not the tier you wanted, harvest offer you to reroll the item with increased chance to get the same modifier, very powerfull too. Also you can still craft with harvest with influence item, just not augment a mod on it.
i'ven't read all the comments but i "discovered" something - i REALLY hated to fossil-craft because the splitting of the resonators is so annoying! If jo take up the whole stack and hold shift and click then on a position 1 resonator will be placed there, so you can split them up just by holding shift and click then ... thats WAY more comfortable! :D

With the new league, once you hit mapping I can highly recommend saving armor that you could potentially use and crafting them when you harvest through chaos rolling or augmenting. The new league makes it much easier to cap your resistances, which is a necessary step to get into more profitable high tier maps.
You forgot about one thing - sometimes it's better to use bench socket crafting options to hit for example 6x off-colour sockets Vaal Regalia. Otherwise you will spend A LOT of currency for chromatics to colour them lately or try a luck with white sockets craft Vorici from Betrayal (which is kinda expensive).
New to poe this league. Came here to learn. Left more confused as usual. Makes me wonder how many decent items I sold to vendor because I thought only 4-6 sockets were valuable. Rip.
I've payed off & on for years now, many leagues. Never really devoted myself to the game or it's mechanics, don't be too stressed or hard on yourself. Being an average player and a top tier player is so much different in this game than most - Understanding a lot of aspects of the game is just extremely tedious. It's a very fun game to casually play and chill though :)
@@zenith3528 I found my first exalt from harvesting seeds which brought me a huge gear upgrade. Maybe I need to not be so stingy and buy chisels, alchemys, and scarabs for my red maps. The highest I've done so far is T12. But around T12 maybe 13 is where my gear is crapping out. I made a chieftain fire cyclone.

the sped up speed of slamming fusings is my normal 2 finger speed. I think I should slow down and go at your speed, because in SSF i've had 8k and not had a 6L b4 :(
It's insane how much currency you can do by crafting. ZiggyD has made a video about it where all his wealth came from crafting. It requires a lot of knowledge tho but even I tried it and it worked. I crafted a 20ex worth of Elusive Boots with +80 life and 100% total resistances and 30% mvs with the cost of 4 exalted orbs. Depending on what Item you're crafting and how large the demand is you could basically farming currency by crafting items. Edit: I crafted with only 2 fossils and I needed 30 attempts
Yup take most basic craft like flasks, you can craft that at no expense and turn it into 20c. At start of league you can sell bunch of these and get couple of ex and then craft further.
How is it possible to limit crafting on max benefit like 6 sockets or 6 linked. & how do u craft infinity with the jeweler's orb i have to right-klick em every time
Big Ducks. 08:30, Why just hit it with a regal orb? I mean, u can do a aug and then a regal, so u have 3 modifiers, then multimod it.. =4 .. +2 crafted mods = 6? Or u scared, that u hit with the aug or the regal a double mod? So, just regal, multi, and then ex slam one time?
Because depending on the initial mod that you rolled you may want to save the open slot so that you have enough suffixes or prefixes to craft enough. You can get away with Aug and then regal but you may end up with a bad mod that you then cant craft.
Wondering if you get a +1 to spectres chest and you remove this prefix. are you able to reforge it into the same armor? a bit unrelated question. but sure many people here know the answer :)

I did some light crafting recently since I had just hit maps and was desperate for gear. The crafting system should be more streamlined epically with old leagues adding there own crafting. I would also hardly call it crafting more like gambling. Though it serves as a good built in money sink.
It's pretty easy, you just have to right clic your orbs (it works with all currency) then hold Shift button while left clicking to apply the orb to your item :)
Great video. I'm very surprised that you linked the base yourself rather than buying a 6L base though. Early league prices, you spent like 300c just on the jewellers and fusings to 6 link it. Is that really worth it Vs buying a linked base? And isn't it a huge pain to buy all the fusings? Or did you get them from Yeena?
You are incorrect on multi-mod subject, it's limited to 3 mods now (so selection out of 2 actually). This recipe has been updated way before this video was created. You should always go with alt+aug+regal if you want to multi-mod.
keep in mind that linking is allways RNG and nothing alse, i had several items that vent over 4k fusings with 45%+ quality... average on 45%+ quality from my testings is 800fusings ( did several sesions of testings with 150-200k fusings )
I got yelled at for saying this in general chat once... But I wish Perandus coins were the "gold standard" currency instead of chaos orbs. Because although the coins can be used for something, the coins could stay in circulation and be a more precise exchange rate. Instead of saying 3.2 exalts.... How many chaos is that? Nobody knows, because it changes every league. :p
It's a lot of repetition with a little research per new league for a few weeks. Then just pay attention to poe.trafe casually. It gets much easier the more you play. A lot of its autopilot for me now and it's do fun cause I can focus on immersion
Yup, it works well. But has some issues with background processing and flickering when tabbing which wouldnt be good for streaming. Otherwise its great!
nothing said about ilvl, which is sad. most of the bases should be ilvl86 to be able to roll T1 affixes (T1 life, T1 % es, T1 WED, 35% MS, etc). in this case, ilvl85 = juicy T2 life. some bases, like pdps foils, should be below ilvl86 (to minimize affixes pool). poedb and craftofexile are amazing sources of info, use them. if its not a league-start, strongly consider buying beast-duped 6L ilvl86 base (or ilvl100 from a dapper prodigy card) instead of crafting your own. PS - actually i've never paid attention to jew orbs description, and thought that item quality only affects linking chances xD
So here's something you didn't mention - why start with the "Hunter" base? As a noob who joined mid 3.9, I realize these boss level ones are better, but I don't fully know why and haven't seen a clear explanation of that.

And with 6ex I wouldn´t craft items because they can be really expensiv in the further. Just use your Currency which you can afford for crafting. I only use fossils and maybe one time a Exalt when I feel lucky. So I got a 100ex dagger. Keep playing and learning and you will find many ways to make currency or just craft your own things! :) gl

You can't unlink a 6-link with orb of fusing.

I already have a six sockets chest but I spent like 70+ orbs of fusing and still cant get a 6L. Should I just keep trying?
Well, I spent more 1300 orbs of fusing. So you need to keep it’s going.

Only certain influenced pieces can roll the mods were looking for. So +crit is only on hunter base or elder or whatever it is.

I only use fossils and maybe one time a Exalt when I feel lucky. So I got a 100ex dagger. Keep playing and learning and you will find many ways to make currency or just craft your own things! :) gl

So freaking much just to craft something why does this game have to have all these exernal websites just to understand the game, its crazy. Either way good video but way above me.
I hope POE2 has a more streamlined crafting system that is more accessible to mid tier players.
what was the whole point of taking it to 18% quality and like 40 something overall quality to then reset everything and start over ??? I'm new to the game
It makes the chances that you get the mods you want higher and makes higher amounts of sockets and links easier to obtain.
