Amazing Kevin. Those clouds are so realistic the way you shape and highlight them, so much depth. The mountain range is absolutely amazing, with the contour and values gives so much depth and realism. I really think you have taken the wet on wet technique to a new level. The midground with the hill tops and the way you painted the trees is almost like impressionism ..like traditional way. The perspective and contour with the values masterful. Beautiful, luv it.
Keven, I strongly agree with "usflagwaver" in his comment. I watched Bill A. and Bob Ross decades ago and always enjoyed having Bob calm me while watching a good instruction video. Bob Ross would be proud of you, your painting, and your presentation. Keep the good work going. Thanks for this video.
Kevin----- thanks for the tip on setting up the palate. i tried it and it really works well. i find that it prevents cross contamination of the colors, in case i need a true color.--- i'm 64 and recently started painting again. i use your and Bob Ross style plus a little of my own . also really enjoy watching you and Bobs shows.... thanks!
So beautiful Kevin, thank you for the demo of pallette. Those clouds with the shape and how you applied the undercoat for shadow and layering look realistic. The contour and perspective with the values of the distant mountain-beautiful. The choice of colors for the rolling hills so beautiful. The brush strokes with the fillbert for the trees gives realism and impressionism ..I would luv to visit this place, its so beautiful.
I sometimes wipe the knife of on the palette. Like I do at 00:18 with the white. This is much faster than trying to clean it on a paper towel between every pull of highlight and it still removes enough of the dirty color. Hope this helps.
This was the first video of yours I have seen! I really enjoyed it! I paint using acrylic paint, haven't tried oil paint yet. I am still just a beginner yet though! Looking forward to watching some more of your videos!
I've watched a number of your videos, most enjoyable indeed and thank you for your contribution. I will presume that as you are painting " wet on wet " that all the canvases have a very light coat of white paint ( Liquid White / Magic white ) is that correct ?
Kevin, such a fantastic painting! Though I do have a question, on your mountain for the highlights, what color did you use? It looks almost like a yellow ochre or indian yellow but when I tried something similar it looked odd. Regardless, fantastic piece!
WOW...So you DO have a lot of fun!!! I love painting too, but not always do I have loads of fun...Sometimes it can get frustrating. I have no idea why I tend to make ugly mud!!!
Kevin, what type of brush do you use to paint in your grass ? Is it a thick stiff bristle brush or a thin pliable or soft hair brush ? Also what type of brush are you using for your tree leafs ? Thank you !
Are you familiar with Bob Ross? This is very similar and uses basically the same technique of wet on wet. You use the oils as they are right out of the tube and before you begin painting, you put a medium; black, white, or clear, on the canvas so it is wet and colors blend better.
Before blending the clouds out, how much time do you wait after pulling dark paint on ? I Hope you gonna anwer =) Thank you very much and good job guy !!
Thank you ! Moreover, before pulling first blue paint at the beginning, did you put "turpentine rectified" or "medium" in the blue color or on your painting ?
Kevin, mabe you have som relationship to Picasso as a relaive?) Youre painting are so biutifull i just can's find words to tell how much! Mountains....uhhhh what a mountains!!!!!!!!!!!!!! phhh bravo!
Sorry dear what I want to ask is when u blend out the clouds do you roll the brush between your fingers or do you use your wrist. You make it link so so easy but when I try it is a different story. Please help thanks
I am a beginner in painting but I Paint with acrylics and is not the same. The oil runs so nice and is easier to paint. for my opinion. greetings from peru.
If you don't use all of your paint in one painting and want to keep them for the next day, how do you keep them moist, so that they don't dry and get hard??
Better into speaking and why did not I think of pulling down the paint on the pallete. I wish I could use a BR one but I had to give it up. It did not fit my short body. I hope I can return to painting soon.
Great work, but, why fade out then fade into "scenes''??? Is it really that difficult to show your paintings being painted in its entirety. Show the whole thing guy.
What a beautiful scene! Love the scattered vegetation on the hills.
Amazing Kevin. Those clouds are so realistic the way you shape and highlight them, so much depth. The grass at the horizon is green with white. Keep the lighter colors in the background and the darker colors in the foreground.

Kevin, did you tune the canvas with liquid white or flax oil before painting..? Or was it dry?
Your painting are so inspired to me
Kevin você é o melhor dos melhores
You make it look sooooo easy 😫🥴 to paint !!!
No, I didn't. But I do buy canvases that have already been primed with gesso.
Estas técnicas funcionará também em acrílico. Você pode ter que fazer alguns ajustes, mas você ainda pode ter um bom resultado.
Thank you ! Moreover, before pulling first blue paint at the beginning, did you put "turpentine rectified" or "medium" in the blue color or on your painting ?
I mean, did you prepare your canvas with white acrylic before starting paint or something like that ?
Ahaaaaaa! Thanks, this is very useful! I will try it :)
super one magnifie!!!!! keep it up!!
Only for cleaning? So you paint "dry"? I never painted with oil...
Kevin, mabe you have som relationship to Picasso as a relaive?)
Youre painting are so biutifull i just can's find words to tell how much! Mountains....uhhhh what a mountains!!!!!!!!!!!!!! phhh bravo!

Amazing!
do you use bob ross brand white paint for when you're painting mountains? i've heard it's thicker than most paints and so it breaks easier.
Excellent, you're a very nice wizard
I am a beginner in painting but I Paint with acrylics and is not the same. The oil runs so nice and is easier to paint. for my opinion. greetings from peru.

hi ! I love your videos their so instructional. ((: perhaps you could do a painting on northern lights?
I put them on a paper plate. Then I cover it with clear plastic wrap.
I think he first preps the canvas when he paints the sky and water.
You will need paint thinner to clean the brushes.
How ca i avail brushes from you?
fantastic fantastic fantastic+like
Is it acrylic or oil? Sorry for my ignorance :(
Hi Kevin, what 1inch brush have you used , is it same as house painting brushes?
+Shahreen Zaman They are hogs bristle brushes, not synthetic brushes like house painting brushes. You can buy them from Kevin's website.
Perfeito!!!

It Looks so Easy :D
