Welcome to Pompey John Mousinho. I wish you all the best in your time here mate. You do well the Fratton Faithful will love you, you do badly the Fratton Faithful will turn quickly, good luck mate, PUP. 🔹️🔷️🔵💙 Not going to lie, I am underwhelmed but I will give him my full backing. 👍🏻
A,VERY WARM WELCOME,TO. POMPEY!.good, fortune,in our quest ,for future glory!!all the very best, to you John, and our players, and hardy,staff!!.PLAY,UP,.POMPEY!!!
Thank you Mr. Eisner...you really showed your amazing ambition this time by choosing a lacklustre Oxford defender who has never managed before to be our new head coach. We will give him our support of course but the clock is ticking now !!!
I can understand everyone moaning, but on the flipside this is quite an exciting and innovative model of sporting director and head coach. Obviously the previous models and management didn't work out as we had hoped, so it's good to try something new and freshen things up. We all need to get behind this, no use moaning about it. Come on Pompey!
I’m really sad for Danny and Nicky that it didn’t work out but it’s time for someone else to have a go now. We all have to get behind John now. this season is probably a write off now but let’s give him a go
Noticeable that none of the naysayers have come back on and swallowed their words. Still early days I know, but what a great first game and result. Well done John and good luck.
Welcome John, I seriously wish you all the best. I really do hope you bring the football you promise and get the players playing for the badge. I still think this was the cheap option especially with the likes of McCan and Wilder in the frame with league 1 promotions to their name. Portsmouth till I die Play up Pompey 🔵⚪️🔴
Welcome John. We will back you tommorow and we are all excited to see what brand of football we will be seeing. Hopefully youll be the one to turn our season around. John Mousinhos blue army!
Sounds like the right man for the job to be fair! I'm sure as long as he brings in an experienced Assistant/coaches he'll be able to make the right decisions. Excited to see an improvement in our performances on the pitch! PUP
I like him, it's a great first impression. He's earned all his badges and deserves the chance to make fratton rock. A recycled overbloated manager was never the Pompey way. Moush mush army init!
One thing he said that impressed me is that he wants to give the players freedom to express themselves and enjoy their football.. I've said this in previous comments and I'll say it again; what is the use of buying talent and flair and then suppressing it in order to fit into a rigid tactical scheme. By all means have some sort of general plan to nullify the threat of certain opposition players but as we all know things change in matches with injuries and substitutions and what may have been a good plan to start with may not be so as the match progresses. As John says, once the players are on the pitch there's not much he can do so give them the OK to sort it themselves. Good luck John and PUP.
Welcome to Pompey John. I hope you can firstly deal with the justifiable scepticism and then the expectation. You have to be mentally strong get the players playing their A game and get results. No pressure eh 😁 The very best of luck, hope you do well.
But you never know in football or life, strange things happen so sod it, welcome John, good luck, I think you’re gonna need it early doors and throughout but day 1, home game, welcome to Portsmouth, it’s gonna be a mad old ride believe me 😉👍🏻
Mr Cullen, mr Hughes this is a risky experiment with our club we really don’t need. After the pe teachers from Essex your making a big gamble with the fans. But good luck John. You’ll have our support. I wish you well
Best of luck to him, he’s going to need it. There will be very little room for error as we are currently sat only 7 points above relegation and after watching Bolton among many other poor performances, we are in for a tough ride. With no managerial experience it’s going to be a real tough climb. Hoping they all make it out the other side. Well done to the Eisner’s for going cheap. You never fail to disappoint me.
It's been proven that new coaches who don't have any experience before hand with being a head coach have gone on to do really well. They have something to prove, so good luck to the guy
Unknown manager, but got to start somewhere, hopefully he will settle in, get behind him, probably need couple of transfer windows to try and get Portsmouth in to playoffs, keep the Faith pup
It's a high risk strategy for the board and owners, if they've found a gem(and I hope they have), then excellent, if not they deserve every recrimination they'll receive - as it is the riskiest appointment they could've made.
If anyone who knows John either friends or family are reading these comments please tell him the negativity and hate isn't aimed at him at all. He's just at the wrong club at the wrong time. The hate and negativity is aimed at the owners and their lack of ambition for any on field success. We wish the manger all the best and he will be backed but it's clear we will only be a League 1 club for a long time to come and that's not acceptable.
I can’t believe this is actually real that the Eisners have actually appointed a man with zero experience, he’s an Oxford player for god sake!! But hey ho, it’s complete madness but give the geezer a chance, only time will tell, we’ve seen a lot of madness at Pompey over the decades but this has got to be one the most weirdest things ever, PUP 💙💙💙
Let's face it he's not going to be any worse than the Cowley's. At least he's had a playing career in football rather than teaching under 11's on a School Field.
Speaks well and i will give him a chance. He asks for time, he has none, he has to perform immediately or we are in real trouble. That's why appointing someone who maybe would not immediately have the respect of the players is baffling. This is a real sink or swim appointment, we can only hope
A good talker lets hope its not all hot air and bluster, cheap option maybe but unknown and we never know could be amazing, if he gets dale to pass the the ball or get a cross in that would be nice, sell hume would be a good start, really hope the players pull the finger out and get behind him and us cause from what i have seen the last 10 games has been lazy no other word for it. lets hope for a win tomorrow.PUP
This is surreal. Danny Cowley must be devastated. Who knows what is going to happen but it’s literally a bonkers way to run a business. Richard Hughes is our manager, this is our first team coach. What qualifies any of them to do this remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, this is the eisners last role of the dice. Never boring is it.
He speaks really well and seems like a top bloke but I can't understand this appointment atall....he is not qualified he has no experience whatsoever. I hope the board know what they're doing! PUP
I'll give him a chance, but still think it's a ridiculously risky, and possibly cheapskate appointment given the position we're in. Andrew Cullen needs to come out and give very good reasons why he was appointed over the other candidates.
Another Mr nice guy. Three in a row now🤷🏻♂️. Richard Hughes is a disaster. I’m all for giving new guys a chance, but you don’t start out at a club like Portsmouth. You start out at a club like Gosport and work your way up!😞
Americans really struggle with English football. Even the ambitious ones like the Chelsea owner get it wrong. Spending hundreds of millions on players and managers only to drop down the league. Our ones are the opposite, don't like showing ambition or spending and still get it wrong. Let's hope the next owners aren't American when we're in the national league and the Eisners finally get bored and sell up.
John, you speak very well, I’m supporting you 100% welcome
Young and ambitious. Good luck John, we're all behind you.
Let’s get behind John & give him 💯 support. Our club & John deserve nothing less.
Speaks well, seems passionate and honest… can’t ask for more than that to begin with. I really hope you make a success of your time here JM. PUP
Welcome to Pompey John Mousinho. I wish you all the best in your time here mate. You do well the Fratton Faithful will love you, you do badly the Fratton Faithful will turn quickly, good luck mate, PUP. 🔹️🔷️🔵💙
Not going to lie, I am underwhelmed but I will give him my full backing. 👍🏻
Just over a year later and we are Champions, he's done an unbelievable job.
Play Up Pompey!
A,VERY WARM WELCOME,TO. POMPEY!.good, fortune,in our quest ,for future glory!!all the very best, to you John, and our players, and hardy,staff!!.PLAY,UP,.POMPEY!!!
This is a very interesting appointment. Can't wait to see how it works out. Good luck John.
Good luck to him! PUP 🙌💙
Very impressed by this interview. Good luck John, bring back some excitement to Fratton Park.
20 minutes with Big John, what a treat
He talks fantastically hopefully the players feel the same and give thier all for him
Thank you Mr. Eisner...you really showed your amazing ambition this time by choosing a lacklustre Oxford defender who has never managed before to be our new head coach. We will give him our support of course but the clock is ticking now !!!
Comes across really well. Great interview, really engaging and his passion is evident. Good luck, John.

Play up Pompey 🔵⚪️🔴
Cheap option , this is Sunday market stuff .
@@markcherriman6136 lol. Give him a chance mate. 😁👍🏻
Young and ambitious is what I'd employ over old and someone been sacked 50 times.
I actually have a good feeling about him.
I hope it works out, I have a good feeling about this now for some reason, let’s give him time and back him. 💙
Seems confident and knowledgeable. I like it
Welcome John. We will back you tommorow and we are all excited to see what brand of football we will be seeing. Hopefully youll be the one to turn our season around. John Mousinhos blue army!
Good luck John. Really hope you can deliver I’m sure you will. Blue army!!
Good luck, he’s gonna need it
Sounds like the right man for the job to be fair! I'm sure as long as he brings in an experienced Assistant/coaches he'll be able to make the right decisions. Excited to see an improvement in our performances on the pitch! PUP

Yep, he’s a good ‘un, the leader we need at this disjointed moment. PUP!

Wishing you the best of luck PUP
We Need Some Turn in Fortune's, Good luck with that 🙏💙
Welcome to Pompey John. I hope you can firstly deal with the justifiable scepticism and then the expectation. You have to be mentally strong get the players playing their A game and get results. No pressure eh 😁 The very best of luck, hope you do well.
Good Luck to him! He wasn’t our first choice as fans but hay! Let’s all get behind him and give him the best chance!
So long as he can get us back to winning ways, it will be alright for him.
But you never know in football or life, strange things happen so sod it, welcome John, good luck, I think you’re gonna need it early doors and throughout but day 1, home game, welcome to Portsmouth, it’s gonna be a mad old ride believe me 😉👍🏻
Go on lad, PUP 💙
Speaks well & hopefully will be a good partnership with Hughes. You have to feel a lot is riding on this appointment for the Eisner regime. PUP!
Mr Cullen, mr Hughes this is a risky experiment with our club we really don’t need. After the pe teachers from Essex your making a big gamble with the fans. But good luck John. You’ll have our support. I wish you well

He’s at the wheel 🔵🔵
It's been proven that new coaches who don't have any experience before hand with being a head coach have gone on to do really well. They have something to prove, so good luck to the guy
Go on John
I am willing to back hom cant wait for tommorow PUP 🔵
he’s going to be the next big thing in english football. you’ve heard it here first!!!
Unknown manager, but got to start somewhere, hopefully he will settle in, get behind him, probably need couple of transfer windows to try and get Portsmouth in to playoffs, keep the Faith pup
What position do you play because we're desperate . It's going to be a interesting game against Exeter .
Was at CB mate. With how ours have been playing he should get the boots on.
Lets get back to winning ways
Let’s get ready to rumble……
It’s Pompey Exeter … round one!
Time to forget about the owners and support John and the Players. #PlayUpPompey
If he could emulate eddie howe that'd be great
It's a high risk strategy for the board and owners, if they've found a gem(and I hope they have), then excellent, if not they deserve every recrimination they'll receive - as it is the riskiest appointment they could've made.

@Fournilwrittenalloverit - Morning Tom so Pompey's NEW manager is former Oxford player John Mousinho. Keep The Faith & Play Up Pompey
Pompey needs 4 or 5 wins to get up table as Pompey belongs
Let's face it he's not going to be any worse than the Cowley's. At least he's had a playing career in football rather than teaching under 11's on a School Field.

What qualified Clownley? He was just a PE teacher with no tactics so can’t be worse than that lol
Fans need to back the manager with thier support, owners need to back him with their pockets
Redknapp back! 😆
What happened to Robbie keane?
OK, who is this?
He speaks really well and seems like a top bloke but I can't understand this appointment atall....he is not qualified he has no experience whatsoever. I hope the board know what they're doing! PUP
Stop blaming the owners it’s the CEO and director of football who appointed him
I'll give him a chance, but still think it's a ridiculously risky, and possibly cheapskate appointment given the position we're in. Andrew Cullen needs to come out and give very good reasons why he was appointed over the other candidates.
