- Thanks to a patch I made to the game you can now play the GameCube levels directly in the ROM without having to connect to the GameCube version. Using this I can continue my walkthrough series. The patch also unlocks Ly's Punch Challenge 3 upon completing all 10 bonus levels.
You can download the patch here: www.romhacking.net/hacks/7714/

These levels are being played with a patch I made which makes the GameCube bonus levels accessible directly in the GBA ROM. You can find it here: www.romhacking.net/hacks/7714/
I should also mention that I didn't actually beat all 10 levels at once 😅 This is cut together to show all levels in a single video. The levels themselves are actually surprisingly difficult! Luckily you don't actually lose lives here when dying.
Great work, thanks :)
It reminds me the japan exclusive E-reader levels in Mario VS Donkey Kong that was planned.
At least i've played those levels, quite hard but doable, especially for the last one.
Wow, now i can finally play those exclusive levels without an Gamecube! THX, for the patch!
You got yourself the 'red-tinged' ''WOW'', and I counted 7 hits only 😎👌 I honestly didn't expect me to check all of it, but interesting & nicely inspired levels + the music is indeed more than okay 😉 Level 10 looks fun, but is actually a bit annoying/trial-and-error, right? And phew, level 8 à la the 1st level of the 'Prison Ship' seems to require great reflexes 🤠
Yep, level 10 is quite a pain to play due to the controls and screen size :p I have a theory it's a cut level from the actual game supposed to mimick the flying shell part of The Prison Ship in R2. If so I'm glad it didn't make it in haha!
@@RayCarrot I see, and definitely sounds plausible 🚀 Oh, I recall one of my first couple of attempts way back then; oftentimes failing near the end of that level; nowadays, smooth as 🧈, but it's been a while :D Yeahehe, seeing how these levels/chunks are 'converted', you might face a lot more difficulties ^^
As a kid without a GameCube, I could only wonder what happens if you hook it up. But no one I ever knew had a GBA link cable either. Well, now I know, so thank you.
I've always wondered about these levels as well and really happy to finally have been able to play them now!
@@RayCarrot Same!
