Can you talk to your buddies at Z man and have them make “dirty white” gold blade chatterbaits in other models than the jackhammer?
I noticed that the evo isn't as erratic as the jackhammer it is more like a stealth blade, but I will also say it does start thumping like a jackhammer.. it's erraticness will only happen if you burning it or if you snap ya rod.. I think I stick with the jackhammer me personally..
I have several EVO’s that I’ve used that do have a lot of hunting action and some that don’t. The Jackhammer is still a standby for that hunting action for sure.
Nothing has the hunting action of the Big Blade. I don’t know why people don’t throw it more often.
What kind of trailer would u use , will it b paddle tail or jerk bait ?
I generally like a paddle tail for really dirty water, but a jerkbait or something like the Chatterspike or RaZor ShadZ is great for clear water and colder water.

Do the painted blades actually stay painted? The jack hammer painted blades are a joke.
I feel you on that one. I have had the same thing with some of them. Though I can’t speak for personal experience yet with the EVO I can say that I immediately noticed how much thicker the epoxy is on the blades and I talked with the Zman team about that and they are using a different epoxy that supposedly is more durable.
I think the head on that thing helps it cast a mile threw it for the first time tonight and yes definitely relevant
I’ve fished the hell out of one for 3 weeks and all paint is still on the blade. Much better than the JH so far in thay regard.

I have been absolutely crushing the bass in my local Florida pond with the new EVO. Any of the colors with chartreuse are great for stained water. The gold blade like you mentioned is perfect. I use either white or chartreuse trailer. I’ve caught multiple in the 5-9lb range with this setup. As a side note, the blade holds up way better than the jackhammer. I have one EVO that has caught around 50 bass and the blade color still looks good. Thanks for the video. Good info.
