The design and the packaging of the BLT is far superior. The new swinging head is awesome. Want to see a new designed VMC / Crush City “tail weight” to get the BLT working that thing tiny child style. Let’s go Jacob, make it happen!
Finally a ned bait that's longer with some action that actually floats. I was buying senkos & floating worms before just to cut them up to get the right length. A dark orange with some baby blue would be an awesome color to fish with in the ozark lakes around here.
@@WheelerFishing If you ever did come up with that color, Molten Craw would be a great name. Play on words there. Molten because craws shed there exoskeleton & Molten like lava because the baits on fire!!!🔥😉
I've caught more this winter on the copper-chartruse BLT than I ever have before. I used to use the TRD. I should add that i'm in Maryland and fish mostly small impoundments that mud-up after every rain.
I’ve been trying to learn ned bait fishing. I’ve not done it before. I have some blt. I struggle with getting them all the way up on the head. I push them up over the lead bait keeper and it pops back down. I live in Louisiana and am trying to Texas rig them. What am I doing wrong?
Grab the top/nose of the bait and sort of pull it away from the hook, pull forward toward the head and sort of snap it. Do that top, then bottom, then top, etc until it works its way up and stays at the head. Really helps with the more elastic type rubber baits. When you just try to push the bait on, it grips the hook shaft and just stretches. When you let it go it just snaps back to where it was. Pulling the plastic away from the hook, alternating top to bottom (or side to side works if there is no keeper) gets the plastic away from the hook so it doesn’t just grip, stretch, and snap back. Hope that makes sense. Would be easier to show than explain. I’ve seen it done in other videos and it works. Hope that helps.
Here in Quebec , we are on ice and cannont. Fish until end of april . But today i went to a fishing 🎣 shop in Trois rivières close to St Laurence river . To my surprise i saw packs of Crushcity ned BLT and just bought some nice colors ( goby) because of your video ! Usually we are late to get the good stuff in Quebec ! 🎉🎉🎉
I’ve been saying it since the bait came out- sounk shad is BOUYANT and best bed bait- very similar to this, bulkier profile instead of slimmer, and has a awesome shake when you twitxh it on bottom. And it’s way more versatile, this is good for drop shots and Ned rigs, not so versatile.. am I wrong? Can you tell me why this would excel over a 3.5 spunk shad
And here I was thinking that bait was a wacky rigged TRD I’ve been using the larger sized TRD bait on a Texas rigged drop shot for largemouth and it’s been working great
@@WheelerFishing have not been able to use them in a tournament yet, highschool tournament season is coming around, excited and hope I get to put Crush City to work!
@@WheelerFishing I ordered last night from tackle warehouse. I haven’t used them and I can already tell I’m going to love them. I’ve been looking for a ned that floats exactly like what you showed in the video. I need you to make some magnum trick worms that do the exact same thing with the tail floating up like that !! Thanks Jacob!!
Your personality towards bass fishing told me all I needed to know about this line. You don’t mess around, you did the work with these baits. BLT looks extra nice. The clam shell is money! Ty for the clip you showed using the VMC neko hook… for my haters on the pier😂 who didn’t believe me. The man speaks the truth!
For sure, but since I’ve been able to see how fish interact with baits over the last 4 years with Live sonar. It has been undeniably that I generate more bites with a worm bait that stands up, but that’s also why each angler fishes a little different. I can only speak from my own experiences.
It really makes me angry that I can't get these shipped to me since Academy doesn't ship to California...kinda BS. I love Ned's while fishing for Spotted Bay bass in the San Diego Bay.
Sweet baits! Were you working on the Crush City baits with 13 Fishing before Rapala bought out their baits, or was it all Rapala from the start of Crush City? Thanks
Nothing beats a fresh plastic out of the package. I have bags of half used baits that are still usable, they’re just a bit tore up one way or another. 😂

My guess is that since the hook is offset to the side of the bait, it naturally wants to fall over, and it just barely doesn't have enough floatation to stand it back up. Still much better than the TRD, which in my testing stands up probably 50% less often. I bet any more floatation in the bait, and you might mess with sink rates too much.
I absolutely love the way this bait looks and the action of it, the bubbles 100% has to be the ticket! Just added them to my cart of about 20 other items lol 😂
Kam had some family stuff that came up and is diligently working on this. We will get it out ASAP! Planning on them coming out sooner as the year goes on.
The TRDs have salt in them, so the float more when they are used as the salt falls out. Another way to get them to float more is to stretch the bait a ton and it'll get the salt out.
Saw you in Columbus Jacob, thank you so much for a few minutes of your time to chat, meant the world, keep killing it! Good luck on the tour!

The new baits look awesome. Can't wait until weather her improves so I can go out and throw them myself.
Incredible tips thank you! Rootin for you DC MDJ and AV to bring in some trophies good luck
Were those on different heads? Looks like the TRD is on a football style and the BLT is round/ned. Just curious if it is if that makes a difference
Dude I bet you could use one of those, Ned’s as a sonar minnow and get bit

Great looking baits. I love a ned to stand up but there is also a good reason to have a worm drag on the bottom.

What size finesse Niko hook for the drop shot setup?
Never mind. Finally found it.

Are you not doing travel vlogs and event blogs anymore? I always enjoyed them and you working with Brody.
They’re still showing you’re from Harrison on the screen but thought you moved further up the lake?
I tested the BLT with my 1/5th oz z man nedlockz ewg hook, and it seems to only float when the head lands flat
That’s really weird. In this video I used a 1/4 oz football head so I’m not sure what the deal is.

So.... a Robo ned worm made of TPE. Cool I like it.
It’s lot thinner than a Robo worm so it has a lot more tail action.
The TRD plastic is weird some TRD’s float better then others from the same pack… hopefully these are more consistent
The TRDs have salt in them, so the float more when they are used as the salt falls out. Another way to get them to float more is to stretch the bait a ton and it'll get the salt out.
These have salt as well but I made sure each of them are the exact same ratio for each bait. You should never had a issue and if you do let me know
