@@godzillazfriction kinda is. Los Santos is a parody of “The American Dream” and how crap it is. The game makes fun of multiple aspects of Modern Society at any take they can. Los Santos is supposed to represent this great city full of hopes and dreams but over time you realize it’s crap, and not worth it.
I love the transition from the depressing sounding tune to the intense serious one. Its like its telling you a sad story at first and then when the second version drops its like accepting of how fucked things are and that its time to get serious about it and push through the shit.

The Guy Niko could’ve left the bank robbery when Gerald told him no. Roman at that point was already richer than Niko. He could’ve easily left the criminal life if after the bank robbery he finished his work with ULP and Gravelli and killed Pegorino and Dimitri. He chose to live the life. Best game in gta series. Simple and storytelling that is straight to the point. You can fight me over gta 5 but it simply wouldn't justice the story telling that is directed brilliantly. GTA V is player driven and there's not so much to the main story except its diverse character and location. The story in gta v felt missing something I don't know how to describe it but what I can say is the simplicity of the game that focus to be what it is that is what make me love this game. GTA v tries to much stuff that it blurs the main stories.
Tbh when playing GTA V I didn't feel the same as you. In my opinion it is dependant on the playstyle of the player himself, while playing I focused more on the story myself, of course the game plays a role in providing attractions and features that could distract the player, but every gamer has his own style of playing and would himself either choose to focus on the main story or explore the world more. GTA V was more diverse and there were so many things available to do, while its main story was amusing and fun, GTA IV's was touching and would go for your feelings and emotions towards the characters, they could make you feel sad, happy, or even angry when you see what happens to Niko. Eitherway, GTA from III, to Vice City, to San Andreas, to IV and V were some of the best games I've ever seen and I'm happy to be born in this period.
Gta 5 was clearly done to be an Online game. They put all the efforts in that. While GTA 4 was done to give us a brilliant, realistic and serious storyline and an immersive single player mode.

GTA IV is not a game, it is the Real Life itself. It showed us who are real close friends and who are fake. The atmosphere of the game is so dark and spooky. This the only GTA game that, it doesn't have any good endings.
I wish GTA 4 would have had score music incorporated into its missions like GTA V. Like imagine some of the songs on the Journey radio playing during a mission. That would really polish this game
Nah. I kinda found it pretty obnoxious on GTA V. Everytime I get 3+ wanted stars there's this same annoying "HAHA ACTION TIME" music that plays that just shows home lame, mainstream, over-the-top, michael bay-ish GTA V is. Meanwhile on 4, the shootout had a much more mature and serious tone because it's just you and the enemies. Remember the shootout when Roman got kidnapped? The stakes of the situation created the intensity of the shootout, which is more better imo, than the same music playing over and over just to create intensity as well.

Renowned Honor Niko is not cold (or a psychopath) he didn’t want to kill people when he got to liberty city. He just killed the people he needed to kill. It’s not like he walks around killing random dudes for no fricking reason. But yeah it’s a really dark and true story....
"forced", he was a Hitman, and could easily quit. but he chose to kill for money, Rob a bank, kill around 50 officers(maybe) etc etc.
The Guy Niko could’ve left the bank robbery when Gerald told him no. Roman at that point was already richer than Niko. He could’ve easily left the criminal life if after the bank robbery he finished his work with ULP and Gravelli and killed Pegorino and Dimitri. He chose to live the life. No character development whatsoever.

You can fight me over gta 5 but it simply wouldn't justice the story telling that is directed brilliantly.
GTA V is player driven and there's not so much to the main story except its diverse character and location.
The story in gta v felt missing something I don't know how to describe it but what I can say is the simplicity of the game that focus to be what it is that is what make me love this game. GTA v tries to much stuff that it blurs the main stories.
Tbh when playing GTA V I didn't feel the same as you. In my opinion it is dependant on the playstyle of the player himself, while playing I focused more on the story myself, of course the game plays a role in providing attractions and features that could distract the player, but every gamer has his own style of playing and would himself either choose to focus on the main story or explore the world more. GTA V was more diverse and there were so many things available to do, while its main story was amusing and fun, GTA IV's was touching and would go for your feelings and emotions towards the characters, they could make you feel sad, happy, or even angry when you see what happens to Niko. Eitherway, GTA from III, to Vice City, to San Andreas, to IV and V were some of the best games I've ever seen and I'm happy to be born in this period.
Gta 5 was clearly done to be an Online game. They put all the efforts in that. While GTA 4 was done to give us a brilliant, realistic and serious storyline and an immersive single player mode.

I will agree with you that gta IV had a better story but I can’t agree that it was the best game the car mechanics were awful the game seemed lacking in player freedom and didn’t have many activities outside of the main storyline

Nah. I kinda found it pretty obnoxious on GTA V. Everytime I get 3+ wanted stars there's this same annoying "HAHA ACTION TIME" music that plays that just shows home lame, mainstream, over-the-top, michael bay-ish GTA V is. Meanwhile on 4, the shootout had a much more mature and serious tone because it's just you and the enemies. Remember the shootout when Roman got kidnapped? The stakes of the situation created the intensity of the shootout, which is more better imo, than the same music playing over and over just to create intensity as well.
Ngl i was curious, but when i watched GTASeriesVideos do the final mission, he had the perfect radio station + perfect song to go with the chase against Jimmy
