I have my 2023 Colorado trail. Boss. I know this video is several months old. But I just want to say I did my own research. And people give a lot of insults to the 2.7 l until they realize how reliable and how quiet it is. Considering I'm gonna be going off roaming and I took it through the mud. Last year when I bought it, it went through 6 inches of mud. With no problems whatsoever and I only had it into wheel drive. I didn't even put it in 4 low or 4 high Considering it only cost me less than 50 bucks to fill up the tank as well. As just the feel, it's got a very taught field to it. It's not overly tight and it's not clunky. I gotta say it's pretty expensive for $600 a month, but I love it.
I work at Chevrolet, and a lot of what he is saying is not correct. The trailboss is better than the Z71 for off-roading. The 20-inch rims give you 1.4 inches more of ground clearance. And the trailboss tows way more than the ZR2.
Just bought this truck same trim and color too, took it offroading this weekend on some really tough trails and I was blown away. The truck out performed 2 trd pro Toyota models. I love my trailboss!
You mentioned the Z71 being more off road capable then the Trail Boss which I believe is incorrect. The Trail boss has the a 2" factory lift kit (higher ground clearance), a wider stance and more aggressive tires standard. Your review is excellent though!
The lights are all automatic. I have had Chevy trucks for 25 years and I hardly ever touch the light controls. I have had to hit the manual buttons more times when my knee hit the button on the side then wanted to change anything by handZ
Both packages came on my 2023 Colorado trail boss. Plus champion cheverolet dealer in Johnson city tn had added the 275/65R18 mud terrain tire pkg on my truck. I also love having the additional front and side mirror underneath cameras.
Looking at this truck for awhile now I really want it lol. Waiting on the 24 tacoma trail hunter but I know it's gonna be double the price of the trail boss. It suck that it comes with halogen light but I know their will be aftermarket led light for this truck, I stick with this truck.
I was all in on this or the canyon right up until they showed off the new Tacoma, Toyota hardly misses, and when they do the unmatched resale value makes it easier if you want something else.
Most through review I've seen, excellent presentation. I'm still waiting to see what the redesigned Tacoma is priced at before I make my final decision. Some things lacking on the Colorado tho. That rear seat window should be power operated, it should have a homelink garage door opener, power folding exterior mirrors, as well as power assisted steering wheel column adjustment. A "sport" drive mode would have been nice too, and I'd prefer a V-6. I think the Tacoma redesign has everything I want, but I'm hoping they offer Black seat color in the TRD Pro version (they do offer this choice on the Tundra), as the cock-pit red seats are way too flashy for me.
Mine just came in and im picking it up tomorrow. Im trading in a 2022 GMC Terrain AT4 because i honestly need the ground clearance and the towing capabilities. I live mu Terrain and will miss the leather and heated seats, but i believe what im gaining is worth it. I have about 200 acres and, although the Terrain is great, the ground clearance hinders me and caused me to use my 4-wheeler more than i want. So i cant wait to get it, will order only a few accessories and then ill be with this vehicle until it rusts to the grond.
Just bought a zr2. Trying to get used to the crazy fuel sloshing sound when braking. I’m assuming all these reviewers drive them from the lot on almost empty.
If I can get some money saved up my work gets me like a $5k discount and was totalling out to 38k, but idk $400 a month payments with insurance is ALOT
love it but dont want to go to the dealer... lol also, can you take off that plastic fender looking bit on the bottom by the tow hooks? i dont like that.
TFL channel has a firsthand owner review. Andre actually bought the truck and first is was after hauling a boat all day, his dash display wouldn’t turn on. He disconnected & reconnected the battery to reset it. It turned on but deleted the miles it towed which were on the infotainment screen. You gotta own the truck to really review it. Thank for the walkthrough .
True, but it doesn't have 4 Low. If you don't plan on actually off roading, I guess that doesn't matter. Canyon also has the forced Onstar subscription.
I don't know why we can't get rid of side mirrors and replace with video cameras. You could project right/left/rear views on the screen in front of you. That would allow you to check on traffic behind and beside you without taking your eyes off the road. Seems like a better way to go than with conventional mirrors.
You are talking like a salesman. I want a unbiased opinion. I looked at it at the Chevy dealership but I'm going to the Toyota dealership and dropping 50+ on a nice truck.

Yeah, on the home screen, the cog icon at the top lets one access the quick access and its essentially the same amount of time. Not a big deal.

How did you not notice the 'Light' icon on the top of the screen? You don't have to go through any menu to get to the headlights.

8 speed felt fine for the time that I was behind the wheel. Didn't feel any clunkiness to it, but I also didn't drive it anymore than 15 miles

My 2023 trailboss on initial start up revs HI like 1500 rpm Then after about 20 seconds goes down to to 700 or so, did this on do it as well?
