Thank you for another great video. I'm always amazed by your various effects - the highlighted outlines, transitions and especially the stop motion. Loving it as always!
I only see myself getting this one for the 2player cards. If I ever get the base game anyway, but your video was useful anyway, if I ever get both it will be thanks to you previous video and this one, thanks for the effort, your quality production deserves more views and subs
How often does that happen? i was amazed to be able to play it a few weekends ago on not-my-birthday. And the friends to whom i introduced it want to go for round two next weekend!
Hi love your content. I was always hesitate to get this game due to the play length, but your enthusiasm convinced me to pick up a copy. I got the legendary pledge from the original KSer. What I'm confused about is - it looks like this expansion is included in that legendary pack. Is that right?
Thanks! If you bought anything with "Legend" in the name, it should include the stuff that's in Dahlgaard's Gifts. "DG" was just the name they gave the KS-exlusive stuff from their first Kickstarter - it includes the big shard, the magician-shaped meeples, the 2-player cards, and the Magician Powers cards. However, the Dawn of Technology expansion (which should also be included in an all-in pledge?) actually supplants/replaces the Magician Powers cards, so you won't need them. Those Magician Powers cards actually add a LOT of attention overhead. They make the game take a really long time to start. The machines in Dawn of Technology are a similar thing with much less overhead.
i’ve honestly never played Duel of Magicians... or have only played it once? ... so i can’t give you the straight on that. i _will_ say i was annoyed that Dahlgaard’s Academy essentially threw out the magician powers cards that made up the bulk of this expansion, but from an AP-reducing perspective, it was a good decision.

I totally agree:)
This is amazing! I hope Mindclash would start sending you their games so you can make more how to play videos for their games.
Ryan, you are just amazing in what you do here. Thanks for working hard to make it easy for us. Cheers!
Thanks so much, Rubens Jr!
Great explanation, as with the base game. Great refresher for me. Can't wait to get it to the table again. :)

If you aren't playing with the Magician's Powers do you have to exclude the 8 new special assignment cards?
No! None of them reference or interact with the Magician Powers cards, so they're okay to include.
Would you say this is an essential add-on if playing primarily at 2p?
