Thanks Markus! They said you would be doing this on BGG. Looking forward to this. If have been eyeing this game for a long time but with no solo mode I have been putting it off. I vote to the bitter end.
I love this game, and a solo mode only makes it that much more appealing (as you said, the game is a bit of a beast, so it doesn't get to the table as often as I'd like). Thanks for this video, and I really hope you play to the bitter end! The heir seems really strong unless you can get a robust engine going fairly early, but I think you can do it! :)
jPlay No, not yet. I am not sure if I could get my daughter to play the game with me, but now that there is a solitaire variant available, it is a no-brainer for me.
At 17:54 shouldn’t the new trick go to the leftmost spot, shifting the one already on the board to its right? Maybe you have an early version where the tricks would not be ordered by their yields 🤔
Hi Markus. I’m coming late to your videos because I just got the game and the solo variant has so many rules 😱😱 Thank you for clearing them out 😉 By the way, the first plan card for the Heir being a Setup card should go in the bottom slot on the Heir’s board.
Thanks and you might completely correct. I was playing with "a" version of the solo rules, which changed while I still trained the game, so I cannot comment what changed in the meantime :-(

Thanks, Keith! Great you find it useful and I really hope that I can increase my pace to show you as much as possible :)
At 16:14 that prophecy actually lets you take COINS for 1 AP in the Downtown location (there’s the coin symbol after all 😉)

Harpal Khalsa Thanks for your faith in me :-D But I am pretty sure I will not stand a chance against the heir ;-)
Thanks for doing this video Markus!
And thank you for watching it and taking your time for leaving a comment :)
Thanks for doing this, Markus. I was very curious to see how the solo version plays.
Awesome - really happy you like it! Do you have the base game already?

It's such a beautiful game and the solo mode really seems to work pretty well (will clarify some things in episode 2) :)

I've never had the chance to play this game and it looks pretty good. What a monster on the table though.
