@ProjectEverything- 👍. Sadly they just don't make enough tracks like it use to be. AFX and Auto World is the only active companies making slot car sets that are very new. I don't know of any other manufacturer actively making new slot car sets. Maybe Life Like?, can't know for sure. Great video!
I remember neighborhood car races all over the neighborhood lot of fun days we had a 4 foot x 8 foot table that dad built for us and it was all track with bank curves humps and loops the X crossing, and the wiggle track it was a blast tuning the cars to get the best speed :) man the hours we spent playing with them was the best
I have had ho scale slot cars 60 years still collect them and some bring in big money still slot car shows going on Every time I look or race them I am pulled back in time to my first set mom got with top value stamps for a Christmas present when I was 6yrs old she got me and I still have it also Enjoy the fun
Nice score on this set. Man, they'd never pit that "Camel" logo on toys today! LOL! That Camel car can easily be restored to perfect working order. Check out the various sites that support Tyco slot cars out there. And, actually spoke too soon before the end of the video. It really looks like the problem lies in that right lane. Good track cleaning should solve that. 🙂
I bought that set back in the eighties if I recall. Toys r Us, finally put all my tracks for tyco in one container this year just easier to store my combined tyco tracks sets. I must of never grown up I bought the Loves Travel Center Full Throttle set a few weeks back. AFX is suppose to release new sets for Christmas this year we’ll see.
It's great to see that the cars/track work. But, while the HO cars are fun, I remember the Revell slot car tracks with the 1/32 (& 1/24) scale cars were much better!
@@davidwillard7334 Bigger, faster and the track was the best I ever used. The only better tracks were the custom created by the shops where you could race your cars.
@@davidwillard7334 Oh, at one time I was playing with trying to set up an HO car set, with an HO train, but life and kids got in the way. That was almost 50 years ago! ;)
You can't just take it out of the box and put it together and run it. You gotta clean the track, you gotta check the tires on the cars. They may be old and you got to oil the cars in clean all the connection.
Wow!
For $10, well worth it if the whole track works, no missing pieces. The cars themselves are worth more than $10.
Nice!!!
Yeah, it was a sweet find.
